Those type of video are so useful ! Thx for sharing the knowledge ! Did you know all this knowledge from yourself or did you read some research for example ?
Does a volume weight training is need in some part of the year for a sprinter.. or the only need is strength,power,explosiveness... by volume I mean body building type workout
Higher volume work can be useful earlier in the year for both building muscle and strength endurance. This is useful, as it prepares you for strength and power work which can be utilized after the general preparation phase of training.
The better question is, how has he improved or what percentages has he improved with these drills?! Some people are just faster than other's & he's talking about mechanics to help us improve. For example Tom Tellez was a 10.40 but he thought he'd be a better coach than an athlete & therefore became a coach at U of Houston & eventually trained Carl Lewis. An even better example to bring my point home, Sam Mills wasn't talented at all as a sprinter & eventually trained Usain Bolt & Yohan Blake extremely successfully. So why ask homeboy what his 60, 100 & 200 meter times? The man is giving us a lot of great information for free. So show some gratitude! Boy this new generation is something else.
Brilliant analysis thankyou ! answers the very questions I have never quite understood with the residual phase problem
How do we ‘pop the thigh forward’?
Can you do a video in detail
It's a cue
Very useful info! I was using either thigh poping or pushing but never considered using both. Now I know why I struggled for my first 30m XD
bro...fantastic discussion of some complicated stuff. Well done!!
Best sprint vid ever best info , I've watched this vid a few times but I now understand that the info is very correct and smart

Thanks Marc! It’s a combination of doing something consistently for a decade, learning from good coaches, researching, and thinking a lot! Haha
Ralph Mann also talks about pushing for the first two steps (blocks + following 2 steps) and that there shouldn't be any reason to reduce that effort.
Visuals with this would be helpful.
the power of stretch reflex...
Will "Pop the thigh foward" help me execute the whip from the hip technique? The problem I have when running is that my back leg stretches too much.
Yeah I think it could help. It might be a timing issue as well, where you need to initiate hip flexion slightly sooner than what feels normal to you.
@@ATHLETE.X Got it. Thank You👍
Thanks a lot love from india.you are explaining it amazing keep up the good work
Thank you sir for watching!
Sounds reasonable. I'll try your avice. Thanks!
what do you mean by popping the thigh forward?
What are some of your other favorite cues for top speed form?
When you strike the ground doesn’t that activate the stretch shortening cycle to have the thigh pop forward faster as well as the other way around?

Should you be doing heavy of a lot of volume in order to run faster
