Wdym? WoT was originally meant to be a historically-based arcade game but over time became more fictional. Most of the original tanks were pretty spot-on from a historical standpoint because starting out, WeeGee had nothing else to base their tanks off of. When they started introducing the post-war tanks they veered off that track. If I had to mark an exact point when this started, it’d be the release of the WTF-E100.
I remember former WoT players like LemmingRush and Anfield hated derp guns because they don't bring skill in the game but they're also the ones who spam gold rounds in their tanks.
Why would you not use the best available ammunition? Do you also not use the top modules on your tanks? You also play without crew skills and equipment? @@sakamoto8354
Churchill III is one of my favorite tanks and one of the best to complete a lot of daily mission (earn 850 base exp, do 7 critical hits, deal damage to 7 different tanks etc.). Unfortunatelly, the M10 RBFM counters Churchill III so hard and is cheap in the bond shop so you meet it very often. In my Churchill III I use rotation device because it fires faster than it aims, so rotation device helps you to fire rapidly and loosing less accuracy. I like this tank not because is OP or a seal clubber but because it suits my aggressive, get to the frontline and trade, playstyle. When you meet Tier 6 you really suffer though!
Same reason i play it (especially the XP one). 7 critical i mostly re-roll, if it aren't blue prints. I use coated optics (hardening ,rammer) but maybe i will try rotation device out ( i play this tank aggressive, so maybe your choice is better).
According to Steven Zaloga ( Soviet Lend-Lease Tanks of WWII. New Vanguard 247) the Soviets were sent the following: 301 Churchill tanks (45 Mk II, 151 Mk III and 105 Mk IV) as part of the Lend-Lease programme. 43 of them (19 Mk II and 24 Mk III) were lost en route on the Arctic Convoys.
@@maushetzer1925 T67 is the epitome of bad game design, they gave stug 3 a non turreted td with all the drawbacks still have much less ammo capacity meanwhile T67 have everything relevant much superior.
@LtCommanderTato yeah, that's true. But at release, even the "weakspots" of the Churchill 3 were impenetrable except to TDs shooting real gold. The gun was also great compared to a lot of tanks at its tier and scored quite a few OG snipers. The Valentine was a similar story when 60mm at tier 4 was considered a lot.
@@maushetzer1925 it is strong tank but i do not remember people seal clubbing in churchills IIIs. However I have lots of memories of T67s making my life miserable. Just like todays lefh or borrasques.
@favorius it was significantly powercrept by 2012, but it had a good couple years. Nowadays, it's nothing special and most tier 5s can go straight through the turret. I'd say the T67 line was really the beginning of the end for the churchill's seal clubbing potential. It marked a significant increase in the average penetration on the battlefield. The update before, it also received a major armour nerf with the addition of weakspots.
Brits and Americans lend-leased tanks to the Soviets. The sailors that delivered them were incredibly brave as they had to deal with freezing seas and u-boats. The prevailing narrative is that the Soviets didn't like the Churchill, Matilda or M3 Lee/Grant that much but did like the Valentine. This explains why the Soviet Matilda and Valentine premiums in WoT have Soviet modifications - like Soviet guns and turrets.
I pulled my Chuch III out for some BP points a couple of weeks ago. Reached 85 points in 13 battles. All wins and I got 87/91 possible points if you count the extra ones I couldn't use at the end
There is NO seal clubbing anymore. No matter what tier you play there are guys with 5 skill crews and decked out tanks on the enemy team. That is the truth. Rock on tankers 🤘😎
First i played the Churchill III, but then as the KV-220-2 was available for me, i prefer him. But its expensive to play the KV, because you need much more Gold ammo. Both tanks are good for missions.🤓

It still clubs, I was playing it a few weeks ago trying to collect some easy battle pass points. I love it when an enemy tank tries to brawl with you then they realize your reload is 3 times quicker than theirs
Some 258 Churchills made it to the Red Army through Lend-Lease. It was more the Matilda Mk II, and Valentine that were staples from the brits. At least according to ww2-weapons commercial page on various Lend-Lease stats (the brits supplied a total, arriving, to the Red Army was 4203 so 258 isnt such a significant volumetric figure).
The Churchill iii is a tier 5 classic heavy gold tank ! It got heavy armor, fast rate of fire good aiming time ! Down side is damage per shot is low, weaker turret armor and slow for a heavy. But over all, is a decent fun tank to play! Also gain 50% more crew xp training and gain more credit per battle 🎉
Churchill III was my first premium like 12 years ago and got me the credits to move up the line… so of course IS-7 was my first tier 10. It’s not nearly as good as it once was, but still holds my XP record.
Sad, cause British Churchill I dosnt need it. It has 1,9 aim time on 6pdr compared to Churchill III 2,3 and better accuracy. Every tree tier V heavy is better in 1 vs 1 and still its a fun tank with potential.
This was my favorite tank for a long time, and the sole reason I got to over 50% WR (way over - currently at 58%). One of only 3 tanks I 2-marked. But now I can only pull off 55% MoE, no more.
Lend-lease was more important during the early stages of the war. The Russians were hemorrhaging tanks, as most were early 30's designs like the t-28 and bt-7. Their industry was also under pressure by the advancing Germans, causing the Russians to relocate their industry. So even though they had tanks like the KV-1, they couldn't produce them very well. During this phase of the war, after thousands of tanks were lost, the UK and US sent over churchills, tetrarchs, m3 lee's, shermans, stuarts, trucks, and more.
Yes, the Soviet Union did get Churchill IIIs by Lend-Lease IRL. That said, why has Wargaming not given this thing dual-nation status like they did with the Rudy after Poland was added to the game?
The lend lease act provided food, logistics, trucks, tanks, jeeps, etc to the Russians early in the war during a crucial point when the Russians had to move their factories farther to the east including their tank factories to keep them from falling into German hands
The Americans sent a ton of Sherman tanks to the Soviets and the mouse that was taken out in Battle of Kursk was taken out by a Sherman it hit it's wheel. That mouse is in a museum I believe
The British gave the Soviets Matilda and Valentine tanks initially and Churchills later, during the Battle of Moscow in 1941 roughly half the Soviet Tank force was made up of British supplied vehicles
If that Swedish TD shot able pen the Churchill 3 , their team could win but lucky it didn’t pen the Churchill 3 armor ! Luck is on the Churchill 3 side !❤🎉😊
To get the M4A2E4, you had to take part in 1000 battles in Beta testing. That was the best reward. The Church 3 was one of the first premiums, not a reward.
I take KV-220-2 .... You can always tell with that one, who to prioritize with XVM. The experienced players know to hit the turret, so you have to take them out first, but if you encounter newbies, they go for the hull or for your ass... and that is not a great idea.
As someone who played since 2012, I disagree. Clubbers were much different tanks, Churchill 3 wasn't actually popular or considered good until a few years ago when it blew up in popularity due to the hidden XP bonus becoming more widely known.
It was better than Hellcat and avoided nerfs that M18 got. It made me ashamed when I easily outplayed turretless TDs. It even had more hit points that a StugIII or SU-85.
