More Avon, can't be bad!! Well, you managed to avoid two of the three p!aces we had to rescue hirers from when I worked for a hire fleet on the Avon! The first was Marcliff weir, where we once had a 65ft boat go straight over the Weir in a flood, they missed the lock cut completely!! Second was Harrington Weir, where they would get pulled sideways by the current, and get trapped against the weir, then we went out and winched them off! ( Quite common that one) The third one you haven't shown yet was when boats would go straight on at Offenham lock, and bypass it completely, by bumping there way down the weir stream! All helped to pass the time, never had anyone hurt!! By the way, I thought it looked like a crocodile!🐊🐊😏
Love the video and the river, but I like the cannel tow paths so one can get to villages and towns do keep enjoying the journey I don’t think anything puts the lovely cats off
Nice to see you. It seamed like you were traveling thru Massachusetts, USA - all the same towns along the coast, It always amazes me how they came so far to settle here and named their new town location after the one left behind. XOX
Thanks once again for letting me ride along. I don't know where I would have moored, but I suspect David, having found your perfectly suitable overnighter, would have continued on until he found something not quite as nice.
Hello hello' ...I really enjoyed the wonderful journey and the spectacular scenery' ...the bridge - some Shakespearean connection perhaps? ...I saw the log as a frog too ha ha. As long as you moor as safely as possible, at the park would be cool ...your cats are beautiful' thank you for sharing' take good care.
If your going anywhere near Bideford Worcestershire. Be aware they have scaffolding up on the bridge end arches. I was there last weekend. Still enjoying and jealous.
We did that bit of The Avon on our first ever narrowboat holiday, it must be very nice because we hired 5 more time before buying our boat in 2015. Don't remember that much as it was 2006.
I didn't notice anything strange about the bridge arches except the one you went through was very well marked. When I saw the bit of wood it immediately made me think of an iguana. I saw a beautiful igauna on my way home from shopping yesterday. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Bedford bridge was where Top Gear did a show trying to drown all the onlookers from the pub garden. Some years ago now, they also ditched a caravan in a local field. It could still be there.
I'm abit later watching today. Always enjoy my Sunday vlog. I like the 3 single ladies Annamarie. I'm with Kath, not heard it b4 in that rhyme but I'd wouldn't mind if 3 single ladies came along for me, especially if one had a narrowboat.😂
I love it at Harvington lock. I have spent many days blacking boats for other people in the dry dock just over that bridge. The dry dock used to be the original river lock before it was replaced with the new one you just used. Glad your enjoying our beautiful river Avon
Love the cats, the wife and I do town catch and release as well as feeding them. Compared to our lot (we have cats that on home-stay due to their parents situation and have 4 others of our own one is an hic? child but it's amazing what he can do, bit scary when he crosses the road though, his sister didn't make it but now he thinks he's grown up and interdependent, he's still only a baby at 3 years old but very determined. Love the fact your children can stay on a narrow boat and wait to get on land. Guess I'm just a softy, love all animals.
Lovely vlog. Really like the new narrative style. I think it may have been a distant relative of the Loch Ness Monster????? Hugs to you both and the kitties 🇨🇦💕
Sitting with a lovely pint of Guinness and watching the scenery really like the caps ladies, well I’ll. watch until the end and then I’ll have to make my darling wife her tea as she is working today but as I make all the meals it’s no hardship and there’s nothing nicer than someone enjoying the meals that you serve up
fantastic video again girls.family members have a caravan at harvington .so know the area well ..hopefully were you moored up you went to see the old mill which is on the island .all intact but needs plenty of TLC.to restore it..Think if you had just gone round the corner to the next lock the mooring would have been better . keep the blogs coming.one day i will get to say hello if you come back to knowle locks again.
That looks a lovely place to cruise got to put it on my to do list as it's not too far for me. Thanks to your inspiration I have finally installed a diesel heater on the boat so I have heat throughout so its brilliant and has set me up for some all year cruising. Even have a vent on the deck to keep me warm when steering. Cheers guys take care. Alan x
What a glorious day!! I never want the vlogs to end, but this journey was so stunning I have to watch again. Just cant thank you enough for taking us along!
My friends and I moored at Bidford bridge on a Sunday and watched all the cabin cruisers parading up and down the river .Two of them tried to use the navigation arch at the same time!
Another beautiful cruise, thanks for all the wonderful footage and commentary. Definitely enjoy Kath's succinct explanations of the differences in the locks, the landings, etc. And glad the 4th boat satisfied the curiosity about if any viewers were passing! But now I'll be awake all night wondering... what about the arches? :) Stay safe and fingers crossed for more good weather for the remainder of the Avon!
Very nice blog, well at long last after many months of hard work, we have taken NB Dogs Allowed out on the G&S for three small trips. One day we might make it to the Avon. Will need a bathroom and bedroom before then🤣
Interesting vblog. You two are very close to where I live in Worcester. Pershore is a nice place to moor up . It's a Georgian Town with lovely buildings and a Abbey . Bank Holiday should have been the famous Plum Festival, though due to covid restrictions its been cancelled. One place that's nice to sit in the Garden and have a refreshing drink of local ale or cider is the Angel Hotel . Regards to you both .
Hello ladies, great vlog. I love watching you to. I just recently put 2 and 2 together, 😂🤣 that Annamarie is the one that does all the art work for some of the other great Narrow Boat vloggers. Some really great ones. Wonderful work. The scenery was really beautiful. Thank you again. Until next time. Hugs from Las Vegas NV. 💕💕🐾🐾
That bow deck looks really precarious. I appreciate you get more room inside but I wouldn't fancy standing on there in some deep locks that I've been through where you pass your rope through cables in lock walls.
Hi I have just found your channel and been binge watching . In these uncertain times I find you both take my mind to a better place love the vlogs thank you x
Thanks Gals for sharing such a wonderful cruise bringing me aboard "LAZY DAYS", as it is here, ... helps remind one of life on the canals again Did you hear about the three sailors and the midshipman.... Good.
Good afternoon girls, and lovely to see your beautiful smiles again! There seemed to be an awful lot of junk in the Avon, dead trees, and other debris, causing restrictions! But beautiful scenery! Button says 'Hi!' to you all! Stay safe! :-)
I thought it looked like frog ready to jump. Sure appreciate the tutorials and very useful information. Favorite mooring the one with blue posts. Loving the cats exploring. Keep on keeping on. Stay safe Stay healthy. ✌❤🤗
That wee little cruiser in Marlcliff lock looked like it might have a cover on a place for a mast to pass through roof right behind the forward cabin windows, and the boat's overall form very much says 'sailboat' to me.
What a beautiful part of the world, I enjoyed seeing the countryside around the river Avon, Fantastic weather too. Our three cats jumped up & went to investigate at the back of the PC monitor where the sound was coming from when your cat was calling at the end of the video lol.
Such a beautiful journey indeed! You both are very lucky! Oh and the bridge has different size arches, both in height and design! Have fun and please keep the videos coming!
I really enjoy your vlog. This one in particular. Loved the focus on the kitties at the end. My wife loves the cats as well. Glad to see it when they approve of your mooring.
Love your vlogs❣ The scenery is always so beautiful ❣ Kitties are adorable. I thought all the arches on the bridge were different heights. I saw a huge frog too. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Wish I could cruise the cut someday. ☮❤😁 from the 🇺🇸 💞💞💞💞💞
So ladies, I’m a bit late to this party and just found out you sold Ewort. Congratulations and condolences at the same time. I’ve been wondering, how often does the engine on a narrow boat need to be serviced? Additionally, since it was a used boat when you bought last year, what projects, beside the fire place, had you put on your .”honey do....” lists? Have any been completed? And finally, are you planning on keeping the boat’s paint on the outside or were you changing it up? Have a wonderful and gloriously relaxing sale up the Avon.😉
We made an extra 'work room' for Kath, we are changing the cupboard in the bedroom, we made a sofa and fitted the stove. We also have some solar installation coming soon.
Love the lightheartedness of your natural selves much more than the more formal, scripted style. Still the nicest Narrowboat channel though.
I think it’s quite remarkable that your kitties know to return to their boat home and don’t wander off. I love the perimeter patrol!
Patrol indeed!--but whom? No doubt the primary mission is in keeping these hoomans from surreptitiously making off with "their" estate, yes? ;-)
Your cats are so cute and 'canal boat wise' they know where their home is and thankfully always choose the correct side to jump to explore! x.
at 13:18 it is a crocodile, obviously :D
Of course!
Possibly a very rare sighting of the little seen Avondile.
@@edtuckerartist there is crocodile in the uk?!
More Avon, can't be bad!!

My cat Fidget heard your cat meowing so he had to try to talk to your cat. It was funny to watch. I wonder what he was trying to say to your cat.
My cat went up to the tv and was looking for Alice and Munchy behind the screen. I'll try to send a picture.
Love the video and the river, but I like the cannel tow paths so one can get to villages and towns do keep enjoying the journey I don’t think anything puts the lovely cats off
I love the canal tow paths too
2 of the lovliest ladies that tour the locks. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks
gosh how nice. you did look as though you relaxed through!
That log kind of looked like a Goanna , which is a kind of monitor lizard I sometimes see hanging out near rivers in Australia.
Some really lovely countryside there ladies - I'm well jealous !!
always happy to see what you two can show us.
I love watching your travels. Thank you for making them, it helps feel like I'm going places even when I'm.stuck at home :)
Best music. Good job! You both are in are hearts here in the US.
Thanks for the new video. Very beautiful area with my favorite trees. Like your cat too. Happy cruising.
We are at an Airbnb and just watched you on the big screen ♥️👍😀. Lovely 🖖
Wow nice video scenery stunningeat vlog..... best wishes Ken and Christine

Thanks for the smashing Vlog guys I did enjoy it. I think the tree looked like a snapping turtle.
Hello from Cincinnati Ohio usa. I enjoyed riding along. All the best!
Thank you for your vlogs. We’re cat people love seeing how they are on the “cut”.
Looked like a Croc to me! Lovely video as always. I'm all caught up now I believe. Take care x

Have you been been back since?
@@TheNarrowboatExperience not that bit yet, were going to go there this year but no motor & covid stuffed that. Maybe next year!
great vlog. The pile looked like a New Zealand Tuatara lizard.
Sue O'Keefe agree with Sue
Thanks for sharing such a lovely cruise. Also good to see all 4 of you happy and well.

Hi girls it is so good to see your lovely country after lockdown I go wish I was there as well to enjoy
Glad you enjoyed. Hope you are well.
The Narrowboat Experience yes I have being well after being in hospital for a week 5 weeks ago and watching the videos made it better
Love the music girls, who is it? Xx
Lovely video, quite charming. In my opinion the 'what does it look like' reminded me of an alligator. I look forward to the next one.
Glad you enjoyed it
Me and my girlfriend like watching these videos together we only just recently found your channel but we're enjoying it a lot :)
Lovely scenery and cool music :-)

I love that cats have to chat with you about things - I assume their opinions.
Our cats are very opinionated.
Love the commentary, reminds me a little of how "Ask the Leyland Brothers", did their voice overs. Great video.

That sounds great. We recommend the trip too - just watch the weather as apparently the river levels change with little warning.

That's Alice, she's incredibly bossy and no good at hiding
