And 'Don't say a single word, just give me a smile' And the entire meaning of the person you love being fragile and someone that could leave so easily. 'If I let go of your hand, you'll fly away and break.'. It's overall such a beautiful song and I'm soooo glad you reacted to it!
Two years into being ARMY and this is the first time I have seen this live version of Butterfly. BTS has such a deep, expansive discography.,...it will take me years to absorb it all! What a gift! What a group!

"Butterfly" is one of my favorites, and it's so heavily entrenched in the Storyline that every time I hear it, I feel vulnerable and melancholy and euphoric all at the same time. The butterfly effect is real, and so is the "Butterfly" effect. I'm so glad you've had the chance to see this one. A suggestion: check out "Love Maze," if you haven't already, and "Louder Than Bombs."
Butterfly is one of those songs that just completely takes me out of reality for the entire duration of the song. It’s a masterpiece. Definitely a favorite of mine! 💜 Personally my favorite non-MV, less hyped BTS song is “Tomorrow”. It’s such an AMAZING song. It doesn’t get spoken about much but so so good. Also another good one for live performance, the choreo is fantastic. Highly recommend!!
I'm so glad you've done this, "Butterfly" is my ult fave song they've done! This is kinda one of the "deep cuts", and since it's an older song it takes people a while to learn about it. Borahae! 💜💜💜💜 P.S.: On a recent livestream you mentioned that you were jealous of people who truly believe in something because you've never had that. Part of the strange, vulnerable feeling that BTS gives you (outside of the performance aspect of course) is rooted in the fact that when you get to know them, their lyrics, and their beliefs, you come to understand that this group of men are out here trying to get everyone to fully believe in themselves. For cis-men especially, BTS shatters that notion that real men don't cry, don't show their soft side, and heaven forbid they get near anything deemed "feminine". They are revolutionizing the entire ideal of what makes a man, pushing it towards something healthy and uplifting. That feeling never changes. I get that same rush of emotions every time and have since 2015. A line of Magic Shop is a perfect summation of this: "You gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you." BTS are never afraid to show their vulnerabilities to the world; they put their bleeding hearts into every note, and in the center of it all is the message "I feel joy, rage, despair, confusion, and love just like you do. We're going to be ok because we're together".

I agree with every single word of that, and some of them are things I've said myself. I talk about soft masculinity, about Magic Shop changing lives, about strength in vulnerability. I've never felt quite so seen by someone who doesn't see me at all 😁💜
Butterfly is just a beautiful song. The choreo is amazing and the vocals (especially the duet between JK and Jimin) are perfection. I think one of the reasons this one never came up was that we've mostly been recommending the single releases while this one is not an official single. You should check out the practice video that's on their website. It was one of the videos that was released this year for Festa and we had to stop you then from checking it out as you hadn't heard this song before. I'd love to see what you think of it now that you have reacted to the song. Also, if you're looking for another beautiful melody song like this one that isn't a single, Your Eyes Tell would be my recommendation. Can't wait for the next one. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I think the most songs recommended are ones with MV. Personally, I prefer from far live performances so my favorites songs aren't impact by having a MV or not. I like "Butterfly" choreaphy, it's very soft and perfect for the song. The choreographer is Bryan Puspos who is the Jimin's favorite (and this choreo suit Jimin so well 😊). Later it's the same choreographer making Serendipity (Jimin's solo) choreography. In Steezy channel, they made a video with Bryan Puspos and it's so sweet and funny to watching him react to dance skill of Jimin coz you can see how he respect and appreciate Jimini. It's so beautiful seeing the live and respect between the dancer and the choreographer, even if they never meet yet. I have so much songs i really like Tomorrow, Am I Wrong, Spine Breaker, Baepsae who aren't very recommanded but they are gold! Baepsae is a masterpiece for me : the lyric (critics of system), the dance, the music... The MV of Spine Breaker was created by BTS members in a hotel room like a challenge and is soooo funny (and the song is really good), Jimin's high note in Am I Wrong (humanly possible?) and the choreo... It's the best thing about BTS : they have so many differents songs 😁

The love, wonder, warmth and magic never go away. At least I don't think they do. I have been an Army since 2014 and I still feel every song as deeply as I did the first time. The gasps, giggles and tears are always there. You are not alone. My favorite song is Butterfly tied with Anpanman.
My favourite ‘underground’ BTS song is definitely Paradise… I’ve never heard it live, but it’s got a message about how it’s okay to slow down or be emotional and I just needed that sometimes. Always a good listen when I’m feeling down and need to hear it’s okay.
I've never felt "normal" when listening to BTS, but that feeling you're talking about has become normal, or expected to me. There are so many songs and things they do that effect people on a deep level. That feeling you're talking about never goes away, it just becomes your new normal

Yes! I feel exactly the same. And when I feel depressed, I watch their content and I find myself happy and laughing. My husband and I watch their bon voyage and in the soop series every night - while having a drink. It just makes the day end on a nice note. And regarding the live concert, same! During COVID I was feeling anxious because I might never see them live. Then they did the la concert. Even before tickets went up for sale, I booked my flight and hotel. I’ve never even traveled on my own before, but I did not care! Me, an introvert with anxiety - did not care if I had to fly, Uber, and stay at a hotel by myself. So I went and was surrounded by army and the positive vibe you get from them. And I even met my now army Bestie whom I would never have met if it weren’t for BTS (she lives in another state). The thing is though, even if I’ve been to 6 of their concert now, it still feels like a dream. Like I am always just overwhelmed with emotion that it feels like I’m still just watching them on tv. Even when Jungkook saw and completed my hand heart, it all still feels like a dream. 💜 which I think means I have to keep going to the concerts. 😅

The longer I know them, the deeper the connection - it gets stronger, rather than fading. So you are in for a treat, you will love them more, and have a deeper joy, as time passes and you delve deeper into their discography and them 💜💜
It's very satisfying to hear you talk about your feelings about them because I only discovered them a short time ago too and I don't understand the intense effect they have on me either ! I'm a 47 year old mum and I've never been a fan like this before. I never get tired of them, I always seek more to hear, to see, to learn about them. They are in my ears all the time, at home, at work, in the car, in waiting rooms, etc... 😋 My daughter recently told me that I seem "happier lately" and I can't help but think it's thanks to BTS. As if they had taught me to see my daily life from another angle, in a much more positive way. And not to let all the little things ruin my head...I mean, it seems obvious but often we get a little overwhelmed by worries or whatever. But everything flies away when I see them or listen to them because they are warm, endearing, extremely talented, creative and generous. It's really a strange feeling at my age to feel remotivated or encouraged by such young artists. I have worked in the music biz in the past, so always had access and exposure to a lot of free music. I can say w/o hesitation that no music has ever affected me like BTS’s does. The first time I heard “Butterfly” it brought tears to my eyes, even before seeing the lyrics. Their music just hits at a much deeper level - I can’t even really guess how or why that is. I’ve been Army 3.5 years, and that impact doesn’t lessen. I don’t think it ever will.

BTS is the only group I've ever seen that has complicated and intricate choreography to a slow song. And they are so in sync as always. They killed it!
One of my favorite lesser known songs I highly recommend is “Tomorrow”. It is absolutely beautiful and made me cry the first time I heard it with the lyrics. He goes into his past and how his love for music began.
Yes, it's a stunning song. It's on my most played list. The music is so ethereal, the choreo matches it perfectly, they perform it beautifully (for me, Jimin really shines), the vocals are so gorgeous (V and Jimin are stunning, Jimin and JK"s harmonization is god tier), and I adore RM's rap verse, it raises the intensity so high before the drop. This song is awesome indeed!

Butterfly is a song that takes you to another dimension. The choreography was submitted by Filipino-American choreographer who also did the Serendipity (by Jimin) choreo. I feel so proud because both choreos are really amazing, fit the songs well. 💜
The feeling of vulnerability never really goes away. It will calm down and then some new song or dance or just a familiar lyric will hit you out of the blue and there you are again. I believe it's the reason most of us stay. There is always a new experience to have together...with BTS and Army.
I absolutely love "Blue and Grey" and like the name suggests it's a very emotional song. One of many BTS songs I listened to when I was at a very low point in my life and it's held a special place in it ever since the first time I listened to it and connected with the lyrics.

This song is so pretty. For me it is one of those sad, but beautiful songs. I like when this song comes on in my shuffle. I listen to BTS all the time and usually have my BTS Playlist on shuffle.
“134340” is another favorite. Listen to a lyric video first to get the multiple meanings of the song. When Pluto got downgraded from its planetary status, it became a number, thus 134340. It’s a beautiful poignant song.
Does it ever stop feeling weird? No. I'm one of those people who have physical responses to music (goosebumps, shivers, lump in the throat, head tingling) and their songs continue to trip those reactions. They are the only band to have elicited this reaction across their whole discography, without fail. Even if I played a song on repeat for weeks, all it takes is a short break of about 2 weeks from that piece of music and that feeling comes rushing back as soon as I hear it. I became ARMY during the Dynamyte Era. So it's been a couple years.

i think they might have concerts in the future because the military said that if they enlist they might have special passes to practise and do a concert because they are working to bring awareness to Busan. And you can watch your first live concert of BTS oct 15 witch will be free live streaming. so maybe you could record a stream so you experience it with the army in real time. i just did that with j-hopes lolla on another twitch reactor and it was wholesome.

I love the majority of their songs all for different reasons and I have like +30 favorites but this one is the song I will always come back to. it's a beautiful song that will never get old to my ears and my heart. the version I listen to on Spotify is the prolugue mix, I always pause what I'm doing when this song comes on

My suggestion for your next BTS hidden gem is Baepsae (Silver Spoon). There is no official video for it. Watch the dance practice video first, and then you can check out a live version. The song is golden - a funky beat with great choreo and deep meaning behind the lyrics, as usual...I blast it every chance I get in my car...
Butterfly is one of my all-time favourite songs. I definitely listen to it a LOT. It reminds me of a love that's too good to be true, or worrying that the happiness you earnt may break any second. Kind of like an impostor syndrome as well.
Love Jin's vocal is beautiful in this. This was the second BTS song that I had heard and didn't know it was BTS's. When I rediscovered it and also learned its meaning, becoming an ARMY wasn't that far away
I have never experienced anything like it either. They made me live with Butterfly. I've talked about it before here, so i'm so happy you got to listen to it. P.S.: On a recent livestream you mentioned that you were jealous of people who truly believe in something because you've never had that. Part of the strange, vulnerable feeling that BTS gives you (outside of the performance aspect of course) is rooted in the fact that when you get to know them, their lyrics, and their beliefs, you come to understand that this group of men are out here trying to get everyone to fully believe in themselves. For cis-men especially, BTS shatters that notion that real men don't cry, don't show their soft side, and heaven forbid they get near anything deemed "feminine". They are revolutionizing the entire ideal of what makes a man, pushing it towards something healthy and uplifting.
That feeling never changes. I get that same rush of emotions every time and have since 2015. A line of Magic Shop is a perfect summation of this: "You gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you." BTS are never afraid to show their vulnerabilities to the world; they put their bleeding hearts into every note, and in the center of it all is the message "I feel joy, rage, despair, confusion, and love just like you do. We're going to be ok because we're together".

Butterfly is just a beautiful song. The choreo is amazing and the vocals (especially the duet between JK and Jimin) are perfection. I think one of the reasons this one never came up was that we've mostly been recommending the single releases while this one is not an official single. You should check out the practice video that's on their website. It was one of the videos that was released this year for Festa and we had to stop you then from checking it out as you hadn't heard this song before. I'd love to see what you think of it now that you have reacted to the song. Also, if you're looking for another beautiful melody song like this one that isn't a single, Your Eyes Tell would be my recommendation. Can't wait for the next one. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I think the most songs recommended are ones with MV. Personally, I prefer from far live performances so my favorites songs aren't impact by having a MV or not.
I like "Butterfly" choreaphy, it's very soft and perfect for the song. The choreographer is Bryan Puspos who is the Jimin's favorite (and this choreo suit Jimin so well 😊). Later it's the same choreographer making Serendipity (Jimin's solo) choreography. In Steezy channel, they made a video with Bryan Puspos and it's so sweet and funny to watching him react to dance skill of Jimin coz you can see how he respect and appreciate Jimini. It's so beautiful seeing the live and respect between the dancer and the choreographer, even if they never meet yet.
I have so much songs i really like Tomorrow, Am I Wrong, Spine Breaker, Baepsae who aren't very recommanded but they are gold! Baepsae is a masterpiece for me : the lyric (critics of system), the dance, the music... The MV of Spine Breaker was created by BTS members in a hotel room like a challenge and is soooo funny (and the song is really good), Jimin's high note in Am I Wrong (humanly possible?) and the choreo... It's the best thing about BTS : they have so many differents songs 😁

My favourite ‘underground’ BTS song is definitely Paradise… I’ve never heard it live, but it’s got a message about how it’s okay to slow down or be emotional and I just needed that sometimes. Always a good listen when I’m feeling down and need to hear it’s okay.
I've never felt "normal" when listening to BTS, but that feeling you're talking about has become normal, or expected to me. There are so many songs and things they do that effect people on a deep level. That feeling you're talking about never goes away, it just becomes your new normal

Yes! I feel exactly the same. And when I feel depressed, I watch their content and I find myself happy and laughing. My husband and I watch their bon voyage and in the soop series every night - while having a drink. It just makes the day end on a nice note.
And regarding the live concert, same! During COVID I was feeling anxious because I might never see them live. Then they did the la concert. Even before tickets went up for sale, I booked my flight and hotel. I’ve never even traveled on my own before, but I did not care! Me, an introvert with anxiety - did not care if I had to fly, Uber, and stay at a hotel by myself. So I went and was surrounded by army and the positive vibe you get from them. And I even met my now army Bestie whom I would never have met if it weren’t for BTS (she lives in another state).
The thing is though, even if I’ve been to 6 of their concert now, it still feels like a dream. Like I am always just overwhelmed with emotion that it feels like I’m still just watching them on tv. Even when Jungkook saw and completed my hand heart, it all still feels like a dream. 💜 which I think means I have to keep going to the concerts. 😅

My daughter recently told me that I seem "happier lately" and I can't help but think it's thanks to BTS. As if they had taught me to see my daily life from another angle, in a much more positive way. And not to let all the little things ruin my head...I mean, it seems obvious but often we get a little overwhelmed by worries or whatever. But everything flies away when I see them or listen to them because they are warm, endearing, extremely talented, creative and generous.
It's really a strange feeling at my age to feel remotivated or encouraged by such young artists. And they often move me to tears too ☺ but I love it! 💜

I have worked in the music biz in the past, so always had access and exposure to a lot of free music. I can say w/o hesitation that no music has ever affected me like BTS’s does. The first time I heard “Butterfly” it brought tears to my eyes, even before seeing the lyrics. Their music just hits at a much deeper level - I can’t even really guess how or why that is. I’ve been Army 3.5 years, and that impact doesn’t lessen. I don’t think it ever will.

Yes, it's a stunning song. It's on my most played list. The music is so ethereal, the choreo matches it perfectly, they perform it beautifully (for me, Jimin really shines), the vocals are so gorgeous (V and Jimin are stunning, Jimin and JK"s harmonization is god tier), and I adore RM's rap verse, it raises the intensity so high before the drop. This song is awesome indeed!

I absolutely love "Blue and Grey" and like the name suggests it's a very emotional song. One of many BTS songs I listened to when I was at a very low point in my life and it's held a special place in it ever since the first time I listened to it and connected with the lyrics.

Butterfly is a really true Boy band song all: the rythm, the vocals, the choreo is great. Like an 80´s or 90´s boyband.
“134340” is another favorite. Listen to a lyric video first to get the multiple meanings of the song. When Pluto got downgraded from its planetary status, it became a number, thus 134340. It’s a beautiful poignant song.
Does it ever stop feeling weird? No. I'm one of those people who have physical responses to music (goosebumps, shivers, lump in the throat, head tingling) and their songs continue to trip those reactions. They are the only band to have elicited this reaction across their whole discography, without fail. Even if I played a song on repeat for weeks, all it takes is a short break of about 2 weeks from that piece of music and that feeling comes rushing back as soon as I hear it. I became ARMY during the Dynamyte Era. So it's been a couple years.
Their entire HYYH discography is the best they released so far, that era was the best overall, from concept to music to choreography.

The feeling has not gone away for me, almost 5yrs time in ARMY for me. I'm in my 40s never felt like this with a group (just like you) been super into music my whole life. It's absolutely ridiculous what they make me feel. (And you def have to see them!! I was lucky enough to go to LA and Vegas ... never experienced anything like it before. Easily I've attended 1000+ concerts in my life and no one compares.)

i think they might have concerts in the future because the military said that if they enlist they might have special passes to practise and do a concert because they are working to bring awareness to Busan. And you can watch your first live concert of BTS oct 15 witch will be free live streaming. so maybe you could record a stream so you experience it with the army in real time. i just did that with j-hopes lolla on another twitch reactor and it was wholesome.

This is such a beautiful song! So glad you liked it... Jimin's vocals soaring above in the clouds are divine... They all sound spectacular on this song. My suggestion for your next BTS hidden gem is Baepsae (Silver Spoon). There is no official video for it. Watch the dance practice video first, and then you can check out a live version. The song is golden - a funky beat with great choreo and deep meaning behind the lyrics, as usual...I blast it every chance I get in my car...
Butterfly is one of my all-time favourite songs. I definitely listen to it a LOT. It reminds me of a love that's too good to be true, or worrying that the happiness you earnt may break any second. Kind of like an impostor syndrome as well.
Love Jin's vocal is beautiful in this. This was the second BTS song that I had heard and didn't know it was BTS's. When I rediscovered it and also learned its meaning, becoming an ARMY wasn't that far away
