    🕵Never could get it to work on my Samsung S6 as it would start but quickly crash. Thought my phone was just too old. Although recently I tried it and found that it does seem to work.

    Hey Daryl I wanted to ask I wanted to focus on parsing the Present Active Indicative however I did not get any Middle/Passive voice options. Maybe Im doing something wrong??

    • @bma
      @bma  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We introduce the present just in the active voice to start with. We introduce the passive voice in module 10 and the middle voice in module 12. This saves students becoming overwhelmed with all these concepts early on. So if you select my grammar and use the grammar concepts from module 5, 10, 12 you'll get the active, passive, and middle.

      Not 100% certain regarding the TR, but you're certainly able to get it on Logos. I'm sure there are other options though. Thanks for watching!

      Not that I'm aware of. They expose parsing in the text but not as a quiz like this.

    One thing I find annoying is that there are often more than one possible form eg present indicative active 2nd person plural and present imperative active 2nd person plural are the same.. If you don't read its mind, it will mark you wrong. Liewise for class 2-1-2 adjectives accusative masculine singular and nom/acc neuter singular are the same. So you have to read its mind. Otherwise I love this app.

      There just might be other parsing apps that don't have this problem with the overlapping endings. 🤔🤔

    Three Church fathers said that the Gospel of Matthew was first written in Hebrew. Papias, Eusebius and Origen all comment that Matthew was in Hebrew. So, Koine Greek really does no good for interpreting Matthew and many of the stories, parables in other Gospels were probably in Hebrew as well. You need to have both Koine Greek and Hebrew to get the real meanings....

    • @amazingshit1687
      @amazingshit1687 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The version we read was originally written in Greek, Papias refers to a collection of sayings that were written in hebrew. That was lost, so no. Also, they were speaking Aramaic and the stories were transmitted textually in Greek so you're just wrong about all of it. What's your motive?

      @@witssen9954 exactly.
      there was probably hebrew scriptures too, but i think the originals are in greek, since it was the most common language back then in the area and in the roman empire.

      I agree with you that the witness of many early church fathers is that the Matthew wrote something in Hebrew, but it is debated what he is exactly referring to. It could be a collection of Jesus' saying that he sent to a Jewish audience in Hebrew/Aramaic. However, the Gospel of Matthew that we have today has no surviving ancient Hebrew manuscript (the oldest manuscripts we have of it are written in Greek). Internal evidence also suggests that the Gospel of Matthew was originally written in Greek. But I agree with your statement that both Hebrew and Greek are important for understanding the NT.

      @@witssen9954 Then why are almost all the 1st century Israeli coins that have found minted with Hebrew characters? Then why is the guide to becoming a good Essene found with Dead Sea Scrolls written in Hebrew? et al! You are quoting old standard knowledge and not factoring in new archeology findings. The LXX is a translation of the Hebrew Tenauch for Greek speakers (God fearers) not the the "Fresh" New Testament...😁

    • @StevenHohberg
      @StevenHohberg 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The best aprouch is actually not read the LXX at all since is full of gnostic interpretation, Origen was a Gnostic. So better just learn hebrew for the better aprouch
