Grier mostly but I’m sure McDaniel had a part in it requesting certain players via free agency if he ever did. When Flores was here we were called one of the youngest teams in the league, now just 3 short years later we’re considered one of the oldest. This re-build has been handled so very poorly. It’s my opinion that it’s been a waste of talent, picks and years.

Grier's a lot smarter than we think he is. He's giving these coaches everything they want and then when it blows up he points the finger at them and keeps his job. He's found a way to outsmart the system.

Yes, EVERY Year... but not every team is the oldest in the league and banks heavy on injury history players... Look at the Lions young with a ton of injuries... but they are young and talented and suffered but continued to have success.
Curtis, I love this kind of analysis. Keep fighting the good fight. I would not put Waddle in the good category, between the two #1s, his large salary now, him dropping critical balls on a regular basis and him being injured a lot that all equates to not a good pick.

Bobby Beathard. All Dolphins fans should pay homage to Bobby Beathard because he was responsible for player personnel in the 70s when the Dolphins had a good offensive line and a good defense and a good run game. In other words, everything we are missing today. Bobby went on to make the Redskins Super Bowl champs and took the Chargers to the Super Bowl. If not for Bobby, we would not have those two Super Bowls and nobody ever talks about him. So Dolphins fans should put some respect on his name. And that is the very point that Curtis is making as to why we need a new GM. We need to find the next Bobby Beathard.
Happy New Year, Curtis. I'm glad your wife didn't do permanent damage to herself. I don't like fireworks. Make me nervous for this very reason. Your slide explains everything. 27 top draft picks and we went from one of the youngest to the oldest team in the league, and only won an avg. of 9-8 games. Tua, Waddle, Phillips, Jackson, Chubb all injury-prone. The Chubb for AVG fiasco still has me fuming. Like you said, most everyone else is about to retire, pushing 30 or close to it. Last year's draft is talented but raw. Only Brooks (27) and Achane (23) are both young and reliable starters. If I were a prospective Dolphins GM I'd look at your slide and ask myself: who on this roster is going to be an impact star for me every Sunday for the next 3 years? Who's the Cam Wake? or the Zach Thomas? or Ricky? When was the last time the Dolphins drafted a legit superstar that stayed on the field and balled every year? We need change.
No, it wasn't that bad small stuff.. firecracker level... I don't let the big stuff here... It was her idea too :( I'm careful as I've been using then since I was a kid... we used to play shoot each other with roman candles :) ... not bright... " When was the last time the Dolphins drafted a legit superstar that stayed on the field and balled every year? We need change." 1 millions %, brother....
Ya loosing Van Ginkel hurt, especially considering his modest salary versus his production off the edge and at ILB. I can understand loosing Hunt and Wilkins given their new contracts, but loosing Van Ginkel to a 2 year $20 mil contract definitely hurt.
It's not all doom and gloom though. We just need to restructure some contracts, something every team does every off season, and bring in a FA OG and Safety that are starting caliber. Additionally, we need to draft a starting caliber Safety, OG, ILB, and probably a DT that can play the 3 tech and Over Tackle.....If we can hit on 3 out of 4 then that ain't bad.
Maybe...think we shouldn't let him go... we should see if we can build right around him and find competition and see if we can get value from him or the other.
CURTIS, the cap isn’t as bad as it sounds. The way the contracts are working for instance like Tua will free up about 25 million. The Dolphins front office has done a good job of the way they make the contracts. With that being said that’s still not enough money to fix the team
I disagree... remember Terron, Chubb can't be cut till post June.. Hill can't be traded till post June more of the big contracts are forward mortaged... I've gone over it a few times... but I'll look gain brother. We can't move off Tua next year it would be 88mil dead pre june and tough it would be post june of minus 8 and plus 31 that money would do nothing or little to help 2025. I do think 2026 we could really get right with the right moves and GM... but not 2025... but I'll check again.

No sweat!!! I get it... I'm forced to do this and never step out :) It's hard when you don't see a real future... Hope your new year was awesome, brother. Glad to hear from you as always!!!!
Grier lost Wilkins, Hunt, Van Ginkel. He replaced them with Chop and Campbell. Campbell was only signed after every reporter and blogger/vlogger criticized him for doing nothing, other than Benito Jones on the DL. Grier decided the great. Channing tindall could take over as a 3rd linebacker. That was wrong. He re-signed Duke Riley, who isn't a good linebacker. He signed Jordyn Brooks. That's his one success. He signed Anthony walker who has been injured every year of his career. David Long was cut. That was Grier's big signed last year. Grier refuses to draft inside linebackers, other than tindall and Jerome baker, who aren't inside linebackers. We could go on and on and the guys I hear saying we have a great core is just ludicrous to me. We've got about 15-20 guys that you keep and every other player is a training camp invite. A great core is you have 35 guys you can depend on and you fil in with the other 20 via draft, FA. You could pick an 1980's Dolphin team and go through the roster and you'd find 35 guys on that team who are cemented into the lineup. And some of those mid 80'd teams had some holes. This current team is the Swiss cheese, since the Philbin years
If you can’t build a team through the draft, with the salary cap placed on teams. Basically you will always be on outside looking at a rebuild every four years. The top teams don’t over spend on old proven players, they build through the draft and know when to let go of the guys that show wear. Grier needs to go, the strength conditioning group has been the same since Sparano. Teams needs change, like yesterday
He's created a narrative that he's never at fault because he just does what the coaches want... and this isn't the case... time for him to take responsibility... in my eval.

Excellent video Curtis and lighting looks good! Pray your wife's hand heals perfectly. Your data says it all. And AVG making the Pro Bowl while the Fins have no one says it all about Grier. He's got to go. He had plenty to work with and built a mediocre team at best.
Thanks... gotta try and remember what I did :( still learning now that I took the tech stuff over... She getting better first night she couldn't take her hand out of cool water :( Today she's better.... still some ways to go... but should be good in a few more days. She's a tough girl. :)
I don’t know why so many fans do this. Beyitch about a team they are fans of. Are we signing a petition, or do we hope Ross watches this and fires Grier? Leave that to the garbage teams like Jets, Browns, Patriots, Giants and Bears. You MAY be right about Grier… or maybe it is just injuries and bad luck. I understand if you say, “Here is what I would do if I was the GM.” But going on record saying one of 32 GMS in the league is terrible for having winning records is a shaky stand. If for some reason he gets fired and the next guy drives the team into fighting for a number 1 pick, what then. Or what if by some chance gets a team to the superbowl?

Well, just bad luck? Chubb, Terron, Wynn, Pillips, Waddle, Tua, Mostert.. ect all have long histories of injuries.... is that bad luck or trying to roll box cars over and over for a riverboat roll? We are the oldest team in the league... what's better odds for health the oldest team or a young team.. which we were just 3 years ago? Sorry you think I'm bitching...
