How strange that I no longer have the comment pinned, can't seem to find it either.. well, now you are here C: As for WiM, it's obvious that i dont have the same opinions as everybody, but i just cant stand miku´s voice in this one, the lyrics are annoying and Miku just looks like a noisy little brat in the entire song, i hate that archetype of the tsundere-like, her voice sounds uncharacteristically painful in this one, it hits me in the exact frequency to give me a headache plus that final scream is ear-shattering. And to top it all out it's one of the most overplayed songs in all Vocaloid, so i hate that the most iconic song in all Vocaloid is this one in particular.

Gonna disagree with you on 10, the High Range Vocal Test is an amazing little shitpost of a song and I love listening to various covers of it (especially Una ,as well as the Salty Miku version)
It's the original audio. There is a version that's Remastered, but you have to personally search for @01HatsuneMikuFan's (High Quality) video, due to the defunct state of the channel.😅
I personally don't think fear garden is bad, just that people can't tolerate it cause it hurts their ears and sounds disorted. It has a similar effect to the song "peach, plum, pear" where the artist singing goes against what makes a good song and yet the more you listen to it the more you like it because it somehow still stands to be decent once your brain gets over the fact that "good music" doesn't typically sound that way.
I can personally stand it more than others because theres a method to the chaos and the disjointedness helps the story. now i was looking at other horror vocaloid songs and some are just downright awful, trying to sound as scary as possible they forget it needs to not just be unenjoyable (for instance song for the great satan)

Oof. There are some songs that are legitimately bad in here. I have to say, though, I really do like "Tette Terette". Yes, it is very repetitive and very long, but it's a fun song and I love jazz. Also, I kinda like Creep-P, but some of their earlier songs are a bit stale. And I may like some of Circus-P's songs ("iNSaNiTY", "Lie", and "Circus Monster" to name a few), but I find them to be one of the most overrated Vocaloid artists in the world.
Man get the hell out of here and come back to me when you've finally realized how overrated DECO*27 actually is. His videos always get past 1 million while circus can barely make it to 100k (Although he has been getting some more views lately but my point still stands)
The thing is Fear Garden was actually very well made in my opinion. It’s random and seems to have really bad tuning, but unless that’s a common theme in other songs of theirs, then I believe they were purposely doing it as a way to create a sense of discomfort in the listener. It’s meant to be a creepy song with a distorted melody if you can even call it a melody. That’s what I appreciate about it. That’s a theme I see throughout this video. In Ant Observation, I like the art style because it keeps the listener thinking that it’s just going to be an innocent, cute song, but then it take a huge turn that really throws one off. Most of these seem to be using that as an artistic detail rather than not tuning her properly.
I understand why these songs sound the way they do, just like you said, its a scare tactic, in the same way a jumpscare is in a movie, the thing is that Is a lazy scare tactic, if that is all you are providing then the scare becomes old and you're left out with nothing of substance. I think that the problem with english vocaloid is that they are not good with pronunciation. Then you also have people who make them sing higher or lower than their recommended range and/or BLAST the instrumentals over the vocals. Honestly,im not a fan of most english producers because their music is not of my taste. but that's just me.
Most Vocaloids are not intended to speak in other languages, and when they are, it sounds incredibly forced. when it`s done well, it sounds marvellous, even now, i still intend to put english songs in my best songs lists because i believe in the potential of Vocaloids singing in other languages, obviously it depends in the abilities of the producer too, one can`t go blaming the vocaloids for everything haha.

english vocaloid songs are usually a hit or miss so im not surprised to see so many on this list... I think there are worst songs out there than world is mine but i definitely think it's overrated. Also, im pretty sure that the gay sex oliver song was made as an experiment to see how many views it would get compared to the producer's other songs... i mean i guess it worked lol
I wanted to be more fair with the songs in Engrish, considering that most of the Vocaloids are not adapted to speak/sing in English, convincingly at least, but in some, I just couldn’t ignore them. Oliver's song ... is specified as a psychological experiment, which seems like a cheap excuse, a bad song is a bad song, regardless of the reason it was made for. I guess there are worse songs than World is Mine, but that has to be the only one that made me angry, I do not like the lyrics, I do not like how she sings it, I do not like the mocking and playful tone in how she sings it, as if she were saying that everything is a joke and everyone should accept what she says. Combined to that, is that this is one of the songs that happen to represents Miku and therefore Vocaloid, when someone thinks of Vocaloid most of the time they end up thinking of this song, either in media reports or publicity, that must be the reason why I hate that song more than any other one.
@@JustOneGlitch i think that, despite being pretty popular with western audiences even in its early days, vocaloids used as a way to make music are still fairly new outside of japan, so i think a lot of the people who produced the songs in this list are just unexperienced, that's all. yeah, never said that song was good, but, then again, i haven't really heard any other songs from its producer so i cant really be sure if they just posted a joke song or an actual song with questionable lyrics. still cant listen to it without feeling a little uncomfortable that oliver of all vocaloids was chosen to sing it but oh well. well yeah, i think world is mine's portrayal of miku was supposed to mimic a fairly popular anime character type. dont remember the name, but bratty-like princess type characters have their following, but i see why some people would just find that immature and annoying. To be fair i don't think any of these songs are "bad" it mostly just depends on opinion. There's a difference between actual poor production and just different style of music~
I mean, some of them are intentionally meant to have stupid concepts or sound terrible (I think the whole Vocaloids only do Tettere-tettere thing was cute and fun tbh, and some others aren’t that bad) but others are just unintentionally hilarious in their unintentional terrible-ness😂 I kind of feel bad for those producers because they actually put so much effort into it for it to sound so bad😔

Had to put my opinion here because this selection irked me. Really strong wording calling any of these the worst, can't imagine how I'd feel if I saw any of my works here. Quite a few of these are jokes, or amateur producer work that seems like it was slapped in this list just to make the creators feel bad. Shit like this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I personally like Fear Garden and Ant Observation Song, though the latter did... disturb me a bit after I realized how graphic and gory the way Len died was. I think those songs are supposed to throw you off with its unsettling and disjointed music, but the difference is Fear Garden doesn't try to trick the listener with a cute premise. Okay two things, One the producer SOPHIE specializes in Industrial/ Future Pop she is actually a VERY famous producer too! Thats just the style of her music. It isn’t “bad” because that’s the way it’s supposed to sound.
I really do have a love/hate relationship with Creep-P's music, on the one hand, songs like Father SLAP but on the other, most of their songs are just...off. The vocals are almost always awkward and out of time and they all sound kinda same-y...GHOST falls into the same category to me.

That may be the case, however, that's what Vocaloid songs specialize in, they can tell more specific stories without losing the quality of the song itself, it tends to be a good balance of all these elements. I guess it depends on the capacity of the producer, some do it well, others not so much.

I can't how many times I went back to number 20. It's adorable! Also, Fear Garden? It's an ear rape but not bad. Same goes for number 13 (which I was looking for btw.) and 12 - but that is just me! This is part of the reason I liked Vocaloid in the first place, after all. If you hate these, I'd give a listen to Alien (Hatsune Miku) and Thirst (Kagamine Rin)... or maybe not.

This is kind of a late reply but.. That "off" feeling is probably from word stress. Kira and Steampianist do a great job with putting syllables in the right place; most other producers, not so much.
When you make a worst vocaloid song list, or any worst list for that matter, it helps to specify on what you are ranking it on. Are you ranking an a technical level about how good the lyrics, instruments, and tuning is? If thats true, songs like World Is Mine should not be so low. Or are you ranking on how much you personally like each song? If thats true then this list would make more sense, but then you said that some songs are here just because they are bad by a technical standpoint.
Cant deny personal bias affected the list, this is more of songs i didnt like over thousands of other vocaloid songs, and my criteria was bad tuning, bad lyrics, bad instruments, etc, but "bad" can be a very subjective thing, alot of people genuinly like fear garden for example, they thing its creepy and hypnotic in its weirdness, i just find it annoying and painful to listen, so thats why its a list of the worst songs for me, the WHY of why i dont like these may change depending of the song, but its true that some really need the context of my reasoning, but im not a music expert for me to give a detail explanation on them, im just a fan of vocaloid, and as a fan i have songs i love and also songs i hate. Some are the best and in the same way, some are bound to be considered the worst.

As for WiM, it's obvious that i dont have the same opinions as everybody, but i just cant stand miku´s voice in this one, the lyrics are annoying and Miku just looks like a noisy little brat in the entire song, i hate that archetype of the tsundere-like, her voice sounds uncharacteristically painful in this one, it hits me in the exact frequency to give me a headache plus that final scream is ear-shattering. And to top it all out it's one of the most overplayed songs in all Vocaloid, so i hate that the most iconic song in all Vocaloid is this one in particular.

I personally don't think fear garden is bad, just that people can't tolerate it cause it hurts their ears and sounds disorted. It has a similar effect to the song "peach, plum, pear" where the artist singing goes against what makes a good song and yet the more you listen to it the more you like it because it somehow still stands to be decent once your brain gets over the fact that "good music" doesn't typically sound that way.

The thing is Fear Garden was actually very well made in my opinion. It’s random and seems to have really bad tuning, but unless that’s a common theme in other songs of theirs, then I believe they were purposely doing it as a way to create a sense of discomfort in the listener. It’s meant to be a creepy song with a distorted melody if you can even call it a melody. That’s what I appreciate about it. That’s a theme I see throughout this video. In Ant Observation, I like the art style because it keeps the listener thinking that it’s just going to be an innocent, cute song, but then it take a huge turn that really throws one off. Most of these seem to be using that as an artistic detail rather than not tuning her properly.
I understand why these songs sound the way they do, just like you said, its a scare tactic, in the same way a jumpscare is in a movie, the thing is that Is a lazy scare tactic, if that is all you are providing then the scare becomes old and you're left out with nothing of substance.
There are ways to create that feeling of discomfort without sacrificing the quality of the song.

I think that the problem with english vocaloid is that they are not good with pronunciation. Then you also have people who make them sing higher or lower than their recommended range and/or BLAST the instrumentals over the vocals.
Honestly,im not a fan of most english producers because their music is not of my taste. but that's just me.
Most Vocaloids are not intended to speak in other languages, and when they are, it sounds incredibly forced. when it`s done well, it sounds marvellous, even now, i still intend to put english songs in my best songs lists because i believe in the potential of Vocaloids singing in other languages, obviously it depends in the abilities of the producer too, one can`t go blaming the vocaloids for everything haha.

I wanted to be more fair with the songs in Engrish, considering that most of the Vocaloids are not adapted to speak/sing in English, convincingly at least, but in some, I just couldn’t ignore them.
Oliver's song ... is specified as a psychological experiment, which seems like a cheap excuse, a bad song is a bad song, regardless of the reason it was made for.
I guess there are worse songs than World is Mine, but that has to be the only one that made me angry, I do not like the lyrics, I do not like how she sings it, I do not like the mocking and playful tone in how she sings it, as if she were saying that everything is a joke and everyone should accept what she says. Combined to that, is that this is one of the songs that happen to represents Miku and therefore Vocaloid, when someone thinks of Vocaloid most of the time they end up thinking of this song, either in media reports or publicity, that must be the reason why I hate that song more than any other one.

I really do have a love/hate relationship with Creep-P's music, on the one hand, songs like Father SLAP but on the other, most of their songs are just...off. The vocals are almost always awkward and out of time and they all sound kinda same-y...GHOST falls into the same category to me.

Ant observation and pink bunny are more concentraded in the story more than visuals or the music, they are actually pretty good songs, anyways, thats my opinion
That may be the case, however, that's what Vocaloid songs specialize in, they can tell more specific stories
without losing the quality of the song itself, it tends to be a good balance of all these elements. I guess it depends on the capacity of the producer, some do it well, others not so much.
Feels almost like a rec list for me lol.

Hey, heads up. The sun childhood was made by the artist when they were really new to making vocal Lloyd‘s, and it was about a childhood trauma they survived. With the few lyrics I heard in this video I immediately was thinking the song was about surviving CSA (Child s3xual assault &/or s3xual abuse)

This is my opinion, but I really dislike Creep-p’s tuning and most of his songs. They just aren’t catchy to me and I feel that they don’t have lots of depth. If somebody has a good song of his to change my mind, pls recommend cuz I dislike hating on creators

Also, Fear Garden? It's an ear rape but not bad. Same goes for number 13 (which I was looking for btw.) and 12 - but that is just me! This is part of the reason I liked Vocaloid in the first place, after all.
If you hate these, I'd give a listen to Alien (Hatsune Miku) and Thirst (Kagamine Rin)... or maybe not.

This is kind of a late reply but.. That "off" feeling is probably from word stress. Kira and Steampianist do a great job with putting syllables in the right place; most other producers, not so much.

When you make a worst vocaloid song list, or any worst list for that matter, it helps to specify on what you are ranking it on. Are you ranking an a technical level about how good the lyrics, instruments, and tuning is? If thats true, songs like World Is Mine should not be so low. Or are you ranking on how much you personally like each song? If thats true then this list would make more sense, but then you said that some songs are here just because they are bad by a technical standpoint.
Cant deny personal bias affected the list, this is more of songs i didnt like over thousands of other vocaloid songs, and my criteria was bad tuning, bad lyrics, bad instruments, etc, but "bad" can be a very subjective thing, alot of people genuinly like fear garden for example, they thing its creepy and hypnotic in its weirdness, i just find it annoying and painful to listen, so thats why its a list of the worst songs for me, the WHY of why i dont like these may change depending of the song, but its true that some really need the context of my reasoning, but im not a music expert for me to give a detail explanation on them, im just a fan of vocaloid, and as a fan i have songs i love and also songs i hate. Some are the best and in the same way, some are bound to be considered the worst.
@@JustOneGlitch that's fair. I recommend if you make another list like this in the future to add a small sentence for each ranking which quickly says why the song is where it is. This way people can understand some of the more unexpected picks and it will be less controversial in the comments.
