You can tell chamath has never used TikTok. There is very much a network effect but itf very different from TH-cam/ Twitter because it's made up of smaller nodes just more of them. Also TikTok got popular because a lot of those people were banned on other platforms
About the War predictions: Despite the “conventional wisdom” Ukraine is not capable of real counteroffensive during the spring. Their forces were heavily depleted during the fall counteroffensive and this process still continues with Bakhmut (a real meatgrinder for them).

I especially enjoy most of DF's thoughts and comments. The Yuan/MBS idea doesn't seem to take into account the complete lack of "rule of law" in China. For me, there is no safe investment to be made in anything related to China. Beyond that, I can't see any currency other than the dollar even being close to challenging its place as the world currency, not just now but for years to come.
On European Nat Gas. They had a warm winter. The US started building these LNG terminals a long time ago (Cheniere Energy, Sabine Pass, Louisiana). Because Nat Gas in the US was expensive. You could get Nat Gas from Qatar at a lower price. Then low and behold Nat Gas in the US became cheap. it was expensive elsewhere. The same facilities we were going to use to import Nat Gas, could be used to export Nat Gas. Also, if Ukraine prevails, there are natural gas fields in the contested oblasts and the Black Sea.

Microsoft has been working to make Bing as good as Google but Google still has both algorithmic advantage, but even larger infrastructure advantage - with ability to crawl and maintain index with billions of more web pages and indexing fresh pages. 1:32:39
