The Danny Ainge angle on this story is kind of amazing. Ainge did not use up all his eligibility at BYU before going to the NBA. After he retired from basketball, he decided to try football for a season. Tennessee gave him a shot. He didn't have great success with Tennessee, but at age 48 he performed fairly well. I give him credit.
It really wasn't. Irish led pretty much all game other than when it was tied for a bit in the 3rd. I was at that game and it never felt like they weren't in control. They pulled away for a 3 score win.
@@DoctorEmmettBrownPhD Yeah but an early 21-3 lead evaporated into a 21-21 tie in the 3rd quarter. I'm an ND fan dude. We don't have to defend them to no end lol they lost tons of momentum.
Terrible roughing call on Zbikowski. There was no helmet-to-helmet contact, and Zbikowski was simply trying to prevent the runner from making the first down. Pampering a QB call.

That is NOT Danny Ainge -- this is Eric Ainge --
Danny Ainge would have been in his mid-40's --
@@michaelkelly4130 Yes. 48 years old. That is what I stated.
Zbikowski was a monster on the field and in the boxing ring...
man do I miss grass field
A lot tougher game than I remember or what the final score was
No doubt. Completely forgot this game was tied.

The QB also gave himself up -- that was an excellent personal foul call.
@@michaelkelly4130 Perhaps by today's standards an excellent call, but In 2005 this would have been seen as a bit excessive on the officiating.
