I'm addicted to this track since the first time I listened to it. Felt right at home since MGS1 relied heavily on electronic music, but the excellent use of this - sort of - choir (also used in Arsenal's Guts, but also in Psycho Mantis' hymn or the Cavern theme in the prequel) made the track so much more menacing. MGS2 is a masterpiece (and I don't use this word often, since it has lost its meaning nowadays), way ahead of its time. I was once again amazed by this game even though I replayed it 17 years after its release.
JFKwasAFK same here, tried playing MGS3 but it’s definitely not as smooth or as cool as sons of liberty. Raiden and Snake are fuckin legends. MGS2 was my first Solid as well.
Glad to know that people still play this game for the first time and are introduced to this unparalleled series. It's never too late. I'm currently playing all the MGS games again and finished Sons of Liberty yesterday. It left me speechless once again with it's pinpoint accuracy, it's use of subversiveness, and how it used MGS1 as a basis. Definitely the ballsiest video game sequel ever made. Makes someone sad for today's lack of boldness in the AAA industry.

@themagalanium9491 I mean, I can kinda see what you mean after I read your comment. When I played through the game and always looked at the menu screen I was always like, "OK, yeah, that's Snakes eyes, makes sense." But now after reading how you see multiple characters, I can kinda see how the eyes can be interpreted as being either Snakes, Ocelots or Solidus', eyes. But even so, I think the intention was for the first eyes that you see before completing the game being Solid Snake's eyes (cause back when the game came out, people only knew that Solid Snake would be coming back, and didn't know about anyone else), and then after completing the game, the eyes changing to Raidens eyes and the color changing from red to blue.

I'm so glad i was smart enough to not turn my console off my first time playing through this game
MGS2 is not only my favorite game in the MGS series but is also in my top 3 favorite video games of all time. Everything about this game is perfect.
I wish this was my phones screensaver music and all
press r2 on ps2 and you get your little brother with epilepsy to dance on the floor
This was my jam 👌
Man, I was 6 years old when I played this for the first time and it was my first metal gear. I had no idea what the fuck was going on, but I know that I'd loved it for some reason. Now I'm a 21 year old Metal Gear fanatic 😂
Thats the way too Go !
Hope you still got a ps3 then. It's the ultimate metal gear machine for the legacy edition.
I always had to wait for 0:18, then i could load the game. love that lick haha
Used to love just running around inside the tanker as snake winding up the guards. Constantly running around in circles hiding in lockers listening to that addictive alert theme.
Oh aye kissing the posters of course ;)
*Thump thump thump thump*
Did you feel the stealth?
It’s been a while brother!
@@liquidsnake4943 LIQUID!

When you call ‘AT Corp’ and this is their hold music.
The way the describe the Patriots in MGS, sounds a lot like the Illuminati... La Li Lu Le Lo
I'm sure thats what they were going for.
WTF Cheesenips. They pretty much were the Illuminati. Especially by MGS4 when they had control over even what people could and couldn't say. Let alone manipulating the war economy, where wars would be waged and who would wage them in the like.
No shit, Sherlock.
That's the point, Captain Obvious.
Also the 12 men are obviously Majestic 12
the coronavirus is certainly the new pandemic created by the patriots
'PRESS START'
Nope. Not yet. I'm enjoying this for a few more minutes.
This reminds me to the background of super Mario World in 1990. In the underground Worlds.
Snake: Kept you waiting, huh?
an example of soothing music
Secret . Threat . World domination . A.I.
those are the words to describe this song
those are the words for a simple and unintended spoiler lol
@@completelyretarded hasn't every mgs game been about world domination, to some extent?
Secret. World domination. AI. Threat
SWAT
Anyone else immediately hear raidens dorky sounding "freeze!" Laughed everytime lol
I go past nostalgia when i listen to this. Some of the games dialogue is so deep its creepy. What if what they said is all true?
It is
@@binnysan I agree with you 100%!!!
yeah, the scariest part of MGS2 is that nowadays it feels like we're all playing it, but for real this time.
remember the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo
It is true
For all the complaints in MGS2 about Raiden, whenever I look to this theme, I think "Oh no, we're going deeper."
And deeper it went. o_o
