When the camera pans out and you see Gao on the bridge, I felt a deep sense of loneliness, but leaving Luoyang is like leaving Siyue. Also his lasting image of Siyue is in her officer/man's robe instead of her pretty lady's robes, is fitting for this couple. Respect for her dedication as well as love Luoyang will bind them through his remaining years. This drama had a strong female character to cheer for instead of the usual 'male hero saves girl in the end' type story, I appreciated that. I enjoyed this drama, although secretly hoped for a happy ending, this was more realistic and powerful.
Gao has become tougher though he lost Siyue. Since he already had sad experience by losing his best friends & mother. He also can still be positive because Siyue gave him a good advice upon her perspectives over life before she died. It's one of nice storylines of Luoyang Cdrama. Yet I regret with the ending. Seems like they rush to wrap up the drama (budget issue???)
My biggest disappointment of Luoyang: 1) how Liu's brother knew Siyue's brother who killed his girlfriend 2) why the director/production teams didnt give chances to create closing storyline about Hongyi-Liu. I mean, Liu's brother killed Siyue's very best friend. Liu Ran might be devastated. The production team only gave narrative ending about all characters. Really disappointed ending. Though from beginning up to eps 38th, I enjoyed all aspects of this Fengqi Luoyang Cdrama... Budget issues? And because of that, did they only give short ending? How can we measure this Cdrama? It might drop the Luoyang's rating because of the undetailed ending...😖😔
Although I was relatively upset with all ending in general- a bit rushed (was it cut?), no fighting/action scenes (compared to the first episodes, hehe), all just "smart small talk" 🙈, and on the top of it- that useless idiot with the crossbow who just stole the show (how the hell he got there in the first place, given all that security measures?!). And I personally think Gao deserved a HE. He went through so much already! They could at least give us a Novoland PE- type of ending, why kill her off(((.
