Do you need to remove the case saver for the sprocket and run without it? and what about the black plastic chain protector, it will fit with the 16 tooth sprocket or no? Sorry about so many questions, but you are the guy who know the answers :)
Yes i know 400 cc 2stroke is always better in power but you need to know that i have a big diffrence in sprockets i have modified it so it can fit verry small gearing il let know the amount of toothing

Yea ares has a exhaust uni air filter larger injector fuel programmer and a larger front sprocket and its says 97 on the raptors speedo which im shure is closer to 90-92 on a real gps. But we do have two of them and one was faster then the other straight from the factory.

Hi. my first configuration was actually 15/31 (the rear sprocket was customized to fit the 31 sprocket) the only thing that i got was some vibration in verry low gears on the chain. the topspeed was ofcourse verry high. the maximum speed i got with the setup was around 154 km/h without wind resistance and flat road. the setup i now have in my new video's is 16/35 and a topspeed of 147 km/h but allot of torque. i dont do wheelies with my quad because its almost impossible in second gear to get it in the air.the quad is lowered also so it makes it harder to do wheelies. th-cam.com/video/8-UoY6VknG0/w-d-xo.html video of the new setup i use now
that is 156 km/h so your engine must have a turbo and low sprockets i do 149.7 km/h max at almost max rpm with sprockets 15/31 (lowest possible) i suggest you try it with gps cuz i dont know any raptor 700 with little mods that reached ever 156 km/h(97mph)
And the 97 was going down a slight hill and i was laying almost flat on the thing but its deffinetly faster then 87 ares ran 85 bone stock using a gps app on a iphone

Is it safe to clutchless shift these things? I just got me me the other day and I wanna make sure it's safe before I do it...(I have experience with street bikes but I don't know if the clutch is set up differently apposed to these quads)
Well i would not say its safe. If you do it on a wrong rpm it wont sound good. I first tryed on a chinese dirtbike And its best in high rpm. I did not have any problems doing it (i only do it if i want to accelerate verry fast) otherwise i always use the clutch in normal driving.
Hallo ik heb eens een vraagje ik heb al eens eerder met u gepraat ik heb me ondertussen ook een Quad aangeschaft en ik heb de zelfde kmteller als u maar is het mogelijk om die volledig uit te schakelen want zou het kunnen dat die teller na 3 dagen je batterij volledig heeft leeg getrokken of zou er dan iets anders aan de hand zijn? leuke video's!!
als je deze volledig uitzet ben je uw settings allemaal kwijt (bandenmaat,tijd, kmstand,......) deze gaat pas volledig aan als je de quad verduwt(de snelheidssensor merkt dan beweging op) en achteraf gaat deze normaal na een 5a10 min in slaapstand(verlichting gaat uit) de teller kan de batterij nooit op 3 dagen leegtrekken want mijn quad heeft 2 maand stilgestaan deze winter en start nog.
heb je een multimeter ? zadel opendoen,links onder de rubberkap zit de batterij bij een raptor 700. quad starten en op de plus en min meten hoeveel volt je dan hebt(een batterij heeft 12 volt en wordt opgeladen met 13.8tot 14.2 volt)

Met de juiste vertanding kan je 145 halen met een 660. Er zit tenslotte maar 26 cc verschil tussen de 660 en de 700. Op de 660 staat er op het blok 659. En op de 700 686 dusja:) bijna geen verschil
Op een mooi dag van Aalter richting Eeklo ;) Tis misschien een domme vraag maar wat is het max cc van een (deftige) quad daj kan vinden? Want de meeste dak vind zijn 700cc.
Warhammer40k47 de raptor 700 is de zwaarste racequad van yamaha. je hebt ook nog can am met dacht ik 850 cc. sommige.met v twin cilinders. maar dat is dan voor offroad alleen
Met die Vapor teller haalde ik ook 148 Km/h, Hebben dat eens getest met GPS / Coyote naast mij ( in een auto ) en was zo'n 130. Nu met de nieuwe teller ( Koso Rx2N ) is het inderdaad "maar" 130 km/h ( staat perfect gelijk met GPS & Coyote )

Koop je straatlegaal in de quadwinkel he. Je kan ze ook zonder homologatie kopen (goedkoper) vanuit de winkel staan er pinkers op... en de papieren voor op de baan meer niet
snap niet wat je bedoelt met de borde. licensie? je bedoelt dus de homolegatie. zonder homolegatiepapieren kan je geen voertuig inschrijven op de baan. dus enkel offroad
well what i did was: i took a rear sprocket that is normally used for bikes. i made the hubs arms shorter from my raptor and drilled new holes to match the fitment of the sprockets (new) holes. i also had to drill new holes in the sprocket because the original holes where to low to the centre. hopefully you understand it a bit ?. what i use now (the sprockets wear out ofcourse and i did not want to do all this adjustments again) is a special sprocket from "talon" that is 35 tooth (normally original you cannot go lower than 36 on the hub) the downside is that you have to remove the complete axle to fit it from the right side and put back the axle complete with the sprocket fitted. so i changed from 15/31 to 16/35 so i lost some topspeed from 154km/h to 147km/h
+ffhgu 07 i suppose you dont mean with the 700 engine because then you dont know what you are saying ;) if you put a r1 engine under the raptor then yes you can reach 190 kp/h (120mph) but you cant call this raptor 700 topspeed test if you put a different engine in it. im already doing almost max rpm at 150 kph so yeah another 40 kph more and it explodes (stock they reach around 120 kph)
bjorn van de walle you know how to repair it and you have money to repair it too, i'm not treating you or anything my friend, only thing is that to prevent unusual gear wear, cusing the clutch will prevent that problem, i have a 600 hornet and a dr600, i would cringe if i had to install any kind of quick shifter it would make me cringe so hard to change gears like that, i know how to do it tho, i had to do it on a friend's cb500 because of the broken clutch cable
In Germany u need just a B Car license (for big Quads) or (for 50ccm) a AM License. In all EU are the same rules. Greats from germany. And when u are in Germany, drive the A81 Stuttgart - singen (Southgermany) . U can drive legal open end and sometimes u have a free road. Greatz from Germany.

+Hatagashira de raptor 660 motor is zeer gekend voor olieverbruik hoor(slechte zuiger) mijn raptor 660 deed dit ook de 700 die ik nu heb heeft dit probleem niet
dit is geen moto he. het is een vierwieler dus legaal bestuurbaar met een autorijbewijs. ben in al die jaren dat ik met de quad rij een paar keer tegengehouden geweest en alles steeds in orde. anders had ik wel het rijbewijs afgelegd hoor. een buggy met bv 1000cc mag je ook besturen met een autorijbewijs
Wow, expected more. Clocked my 350 Raptor at 95 kmph on a dirt road with a slight incline.. And the stretch wasn't enough to get to the top speed.. Used a GPS to measure the speed. Only mod I got is a 16t front sprocket.
Expected more you say ? Topspeed with a 350 standard is 85 with some modding. Like my brothers 350. Is 107 max i reach 148. That is not slow on a quad. And i still get from 0-100 in 5.4 sec. My brother 350 needs 11 sec
Ik rij zelf ook meestal alleen ik rij ook met raptor 700 regio zelzate en evergem enzo ma zou het leuk vinden moest ik keer met nog een andere quadrijder ofzo kunne rijden van deze regio

Senne Dekimpe b rijbewijs is voor de auto brommer rijbewijs is AM (vroeger noemde dit A3) een 700 cc motor quad mag je niet besturen met een rijbewijs van een brommer (50cc maximum) met een autorijbewijs mag dit wel
+bjorn van de walle not the "clutch" the clutches beside the transmission. because when you dont engage the clutches they are not assisting the transmission to make that gear shift. it will eventually lead to problems quicker than if you did use the clutch leaver

My 2011 700r raptor does 97mph wiith a few small mods and here in ky we ride on the roads its so rural cops usually dont bother us.

i clocked 78 mph on my 2008 Raptor 700R. the only engine mod is an FMF Factory 4.1 slip on.

i don't know how much faster My Raptor goes. I just know I did this on a West Virginia Highway with knobby tires. i couldn't control it any faster.
Try aligning the wheels or put street tires on it (like me ) but it wil lower your topspeed but more steady

+ffhgu 07 i suppose you dont mean with the 700 engine because then you dont know what you are saying ;) if you put a r1 engine under the raptor then yes you can reach 190 kp/h (120mph) but you cant call this raptor 700 topspeed test if you put a different engine in it. im already doing almost max rpm at 150 kph so yeah another 40 kph more and it explodes (stock they reach around 120 kph)

bjorn van de walle you know how to repair it and you have money to repair it too, i'm not treating you or anything my friend, only thing is that to prevent unusual gear wear, cusing the clutch will prevent that problem, i have a 600 hornet and a dr600, i would cringe if i had to install any kind of quick shifter it would make me cringe so hard to change gears like that, i know how to do it tho, i had to do it on a friend's cb500 because of the broken clutch cable

In Germany u need just a B Car license (for big Quads) or (for 50ccm) a AM License. In all EU are the same rules. Greats from germany. And when u are in Germany, drive the A81 Stuttgart - singen (Southgermany) . U can drive legal open end and sometimes u have a free road. Greatz from Germany.

dit is geen moto he. het is een vierwieler dus legaal bestuurbaar met een autorijbewijs. ben in al die jaren dat ik met de quad rij een paar keer tegengehouden geweest en alles steeds in orde. anders had ik wel het rijbewijs afgelegd hoor. een buggy met bv 1000cc mag je ook besturen met een autorijbewijs

Actually i drove it this weekend for 200km ;) almost 23000km now without changing anything on the engine. Still love it every day
Wow, expected more. Clocked my 350 Raptor at 95 kmph on a dirt road with a slight incline.. And the stretch wasn't enough to get to the top speed.. Used a GPS to measure the speed. Only mod I got is a 16t front sprocket.
Expected more you say ? Topspeed with a 350 standard is 85 with some modding. Like my brothers 350. Is 107 max i reach 148. That is not slow on a quad. And i still get from 0-100 in 5.4 sec. My brother 350 needs 11 sec

Mijn quad is zwart beetje rood an zijkant en donkergrijs vanvoor met schuin 700 op wartgrijze velgen dubbele uitlaat verlaagd en verbreed blauwe led vanvoor

+bjorn van de walle not the "clutch" the clutches beside the transmission. because when you dont engage the clutches they are not assisting the transmission to make that gear shift. it will eventually lead to problems quicker than if you did use the clutch leaver
