Hahahaha...you win this round fireboy70!!! I'm used to playing jazz, funk, bebop, and blues...saxes and trumpets steal all the glory!!!!! (waiting for sax and trumpet player backlash..hahaha)
I wish these guys would build greater recognition in North America. I'd love to see them in concert. I don't mind traveling to either coast to see them, but Asia, well, its a bit harder to pull off.
Omigosh! This person was right! J-pop Oreskaband! J-Rock Yum Yum Orange! I love trombones........love leader from Oreskaband...love this guy from Yum Yum Orange!
Japanese ska is way ahead of any ska. Tokyo Ska Paradise and YUMYUM is my favorites by far. Though the trombone part for TSP is hard as hell sometimes haha. Great song, great vid. and replied so perdundudka, who cares? its great music and you should appreciate it the way it is.
@TheGamerThatDances i didn't, i was looking for I bleed it out linkin park and i saw this and i was like this must be a yummy song and it turned out to be this?
Stop claiming that this band is "ahead of their time." That's simply ignorant. For one, they are not. They have fans, thus their time is now. They play a sound many others play, just in a different language. Also, to those out there claiming this to be ska, you're far from correct. Sure, it has slight ska roots in it, but only at parts. This is far from ska. The only time the traditional strum is used was during the bridge.
yeah.....trombones don't get much credit! There's only one thing that they get to do to get noticed, and that is being in front of a marching band. It's only because we would hit the other players with our slides if we weren't in front!
you think that trombone players don't get respect? try playing this on bass! ska is different in that the bass plays the melody while the guitar keeps the rhythm. but nobody pays attention to the bass anyways! we still get stuck in the back beside the drumset when the role occupied here should put us in the front!
The rest was typical power chords with a boring rock strum. The horns are repetitive and the bass is just a crescendo during most portions. Not saying they're bad, as they are obviously far from it, just noting that they're more of a pop-band in this song than a ska band. They are also far from ahead of their time.
Horns are repetitve and the bass is just a cresendo...hmm name one other band that doesnt do that. it may just be pop/ska but its still has that ska riff feeling in the horns. and have you ever seen a ska band get that much popularity (except maybe Streetlight Manifesto). still, tokyo ska paradise i take more appeal to.
Yumы просто супер, хочу попасть на их концерт!!!
Jska панк очень весёлый) долгих лет всем участникам 💋

I think this song is their best and PV is really cool.
If you like Japanese Ska, you must listen to Gollbetty and Berry Roll, two of my favourite bands of all time.
Man, that is so true.

Kumi's cute. She sings. She can play the sax. I almost got to see them when I was in Osaka. Too bad I had to leave a week too early =(

The Asian man hitting his chest is a Japanese comedian, so its more relative pop culture/funny and most people don't get it if you aren't from there.

How are they far ahead of our time? They sound just as good as Reel Big Fish or Aquabats. J-ska isnt better.

The main questios is Who cares, Ska Sucks For all I care, I only like a few bands That Try to get away from the Basic ska like this one or Ska-p
