@@soso-795 yeah 😂 but I'm sure for non-German ears they sound totally different cause they didnt grow up in an environment where only old(er) people had those names
"Wait... We do call him Rufus, but that's not his name" 😂😅 that made me smile... My friends are twins and sometimes it just happens that we switch their names or mix them up...
Your Felix suits his name PERFECTLY, I can hardly even imagine the name on anyone else. I love Otto, but it sounds way better with an Australian accent, where Im from it would come out more like Oddo. And Rufus Murphy, is adorable, but just sounds like the most Irish name possible! Apparently there were a lot of men named 'Rufus' in my husbands family. We ended up having two boys, but the girl names we had picked out were Wren and Eva!
I would love to hear about the triplet pregnancy vs the singleton pregnancys. And also if your comfortable with sharing about finding out you were pregnant at 18 and how people reacted?
My mom's triplets pregnancy was really hard, especially mentally. She said she felt like a cow and she still can't look at pictures of herself during the pregnancy. As for the birth, she had kidney failure and had us triplets 7 weeks early. (Details for this are sparse from my parents) I do know that we all remained in the hospital for over 2 weeks and one of us had to stay for a month. I imagine that was quite hard on my parents.
There is a great video about the planned pregnancy of the darling eldest child. ( I don't want to spoil the name and reasons part of the video) p.s. its Yvonne Murray on my partner's device. Sorry
Yea, there is just something about the whole naming process that's so magical. There are some youtube channels that I cannot stand to watch regularly but put up a naming video and I'm there. Thanks for the share!
Love the vid and all your kids names!🥰 I also had an idea for a video; I always watch these videos on TH-cam about different mums sharing their parenting style (e.g. gentle or more disciplined) and I find them super interesting. I’ve been watching your family for years now and have come to have so much respect for the way you raise your kids, I’d love to see you talk about you and Ro’s style of parenting, how you deal with conflict, discipline etc. Lots of love!! 💞
Hi Chloe! I have a 5weeks old son and we named him Felix because since I ve been watching your channel, I fell in love with Felix and his name. I think he is too cute and smart. And here in Slovakia Felix is quite a unique name.
I like that they all start with different letters and sound different! it can get confusing when you have a few kids with similar sounding names that start with the same letters.
That's so true. I'm a triplet (2 girls and 1 boy) my sister and I go by Jackie and Jenny so as you can imagine people got our names switched all the time.
I loved hearing that you just chose names you liked and went with it. We did the same. We considered several names for our son but got down to three seriously. Caden, Caleb and Reed. I gave birth to him not knowing what his name would be after narrowing it down to Caden and Caleb. We were having some family time alone, just my husband myself and the baby, the first hour he was born and I turned to my husband and asked hin what the baby's name was and he chose Caden. It suits him so well and I'm glad I didn't cave to the pressure of everyone trying to get us to pick earlier.
Choosing baby names is a huge deal and I think you both chose perfect names and I couldn't imagine them with any other names. When my parents were expecting me ( back in 1978) they thought of different names like charmaine , susan, nicky, kimoorie, ( my brother who was 4 at the time wanted marigold). When I was born with a rare type of dwarfism they decided on a short sweet name just like I was so Kim it was and middle name louise was chosen as they went nice together.
I searched up all the kids names’ and posted the definitions on another vlog, but I decided that I should post it here too. Evan: God is merciful Otto: Wealthy/Rich Felix: Happy Pearl: Gemstone Henry: Ruler of the house Rufus: Red/Red-head Cosmo: Order Sylvie: Forest I kind of find Rufus’ sort of funny, and if I remember, I’ll update the list (if comments are still allowed) when the Twins come (Done)
I've always loved names...learning the meanings, choosing names that sound well together. You chose some lovely, unique names for your children. I've been enjoying watching the videos of your sweet family!
All six of them have lovely names, I think my favourite thing about them is that they all have unique end sounds (ie none of them end with the same sound as each other). Not easy to do with six names!
My husband and I obsessed over the name River (for a girl) for years...until we actually became pregnant and 1) it had become a popular boy’s name in the US 2) I felt it was a little TOO out there. We ended up having our son first and it was so hard to commit to a name! We had a huge list, some of the top runners were: Lennon, Cade, Jameson, Jett. His name is Barrett. For our daughter we ended up wanting an E name, and ones she was nearly named were Evangeline and Elise. Her name is Eden. Annalise and Lennox were also in the running. Naming a baby is a commitment!! But also really fun!
I can imagine Evan as Seth a lot because of a book I’ve read (FableHeaven)! Even though he does not really have the same personality but it was exactly how I imagine Seth (curious and funny little guy) I love the coincidence that Otto means 8 and everything! Felix is really not an unusual name in Canada and I really like the Felix and George combination!
Omg so weird. I was just thinking about you the other day - I just couldnt remember what your name was. I watched a while ago, and now this video was recommended!! Good to be back 🥰
It’s so nice to be able to comment again :D it’s been a bit since I’ve been to life with beans, crazy to see how the kids have grown and changed haha. You’re looking so good!
I'm loving this channel so far! Of course the videos with the kids are amazing, but it's also nice to see some other content to learn a little bit more about you guys. Every time I watch your videos it makes me super excited about starting a family of my own one day (I'm 18, but I'm not personally ready to have children yet, as I'm at uni and can barely look after myself!). Hope that your shop-thing went well! (I'm from the UK but would have totally bought stuff for my cousins if I was closer)
I would like to see a video of why you decided to become vegan and how long you’ve been vegan and maybe why you wanted to raise your kids vegan too despite what people might have said about kids needing meat as a supplement for they’re growth
Thanks a lot for sharing a bit of your life ❤️, Chloe! I’m from Mexico and since I watched a video of your family, I’ve been more interested in kiddos ways to educate o help them to be a better person. I do enjoy watching you guys! 💕💏
Aristocat idea is GOLD 😍 Our kids: Olivia Arielle. Other names we were thinking of were Brooke and one other one that I cannot for the life of me think of right now hahaha Samuel Robert. (Robert is hubby's name) we were also considering Matthew or Malakye. Ezra William (William is a family name) we didn't consider anything else for him. We absolutely loved Ezra. Xavier John (John was to honour my Nono who passed not long before Xaviers birth). Again, didn't really have any other names for him. We had always liked Xavier but in previous years it was too much associated with a stupid TV show character so we waited for that wave to end haha.
You think very similarly to me when naming your twins/triplets. Same amount of letters in the first name, and same first letter in the middle name, I love it!

Yes more videos on this channel! Can you do the triplets birth story? I still can't believe they were fraternal triplets. That's incredible. What are the odds?
How did you determine which triplet would be Henry and which would be Rufus? Was it based on birth order or did you feel out their personalities/looks, etc? I can't imagine it being flipped now - Henry is definitely Henry and Rufus is definitely Rufus! ❤️👍🏽
Just started watching your videos.. You have a awesome family.. Love the names you have picked out for all them... What a great family.. I’ve almost got caught up on all your videos... I love that y’all are vegan...
Felix was super popular during the 1990's and Otto is really popular for naming kids now here in Sweden. 100 years ago it was very usual to name the 8th kid in the family Otto, since it's very similar to the Swedish word for 8.
And not to mention, Felix is also the name of a big food brand in Sweden as well. Most famous for their ketchup - every Swede has a bottle of Felix's ketchup in their fridge. :)
Finally found this video! It popped up as a suggestion to watch then I thought I'd dreamt it as I didn't realise it wasn't on your blog channel! Anyway, we have an Emily and an Oliver. Both names I loved since I was little. I always wanted to be called Emily. It suits them but we have no more names if we have more kids. Answers on a postcard please! I'd love to see more homeschool, book hauls, wooden toy hauls, clothing hauls, grocery hauls. Also maybe you and Ro could do a Q&A? Love from Scotland x
I first heard the name Felix from the show road to avonlea. I’ve always liked it. It also reminds me of the Felix felicis spell from Harry Potter :) liquid luck!
The Aristocats' idea is amazing omg! I never thought of that possibility but as a Disney lover I totally adore it! It would've been really cute!! Also loved Otto's birth coincidence with the number 8 and you twisting H and R's names at the end 😂😂 Can't wait for more videos like this!! 💗
I always wanted to be called Madelief (dutch for Daisy) when i was younger but its very similar to my sisters name so i always have it in mind for a childs name. Then when I was a bit older I heared the combination Merle Madelief (Mèrèlu Màdulyf pronounced) and i thought that was really nice
This was so much fun to watch! I love the aristocats idea but I think the triplets middle names sound perfect as they are 😊 I really considered the name Jarrah when I was pregnant with my son, but we went ahead with Lochlan which was the name we had picked from the start. Still love the name Jarrah but unsure if I would use it now ❤️
You'll find a lot of people named Felix in every single generation in Germany - it's just one of those names that never get old. As for Otto, you'll find lots of them in the generation age 50 and up, and in the younger ones age 6 and under because it is one of the recurring "old" names. Miriam is a classic name in Germany, occurs in every generation and everybody has heard it at least once. Did you know it's actually a religious name, the "original" (Hebrew) version of "Mary"? Magnus is a Latin name that is used in Germany, but not too often I guess - Markus/Marcus is used way more.
I have two boys (3 and 1). The older one is called Liam Oliver - I came up with the name in highschool and loved it since so there weren't other options :D Our second one is called Amos Eliel, he could've also been Noel or Viljo. I'm czech, living in Finland so we try to come up with names that are unique and easy to pronounce in both countries :)
My name s pearl and one of the reasons I started watching your Chanel is because I have not ever known of anyone else named pearl til I started watching you guys
I've always liked Henry and Lucas/Lucca, but I have two cousins names Henry and Lucas. And when I was pregnant with my son, I liked the names Levi and Liam. But my husband didn't like them, he really wanted to name our son LEN. So we agreed on naming our son "LENN HARUTO" (with two Ns, because I thought Len was too short for a first name). My husband chose the first name, and I chose the second/japanese name. And for our daughter, I really wanted to name her Mia, because it was the nickname my mom gave me. But of course, my husband couldn't agree with me. He had no idea what to name her, we went through Lisa and Mila, and one day my mom suggested LARA. My husband couldn't make up his mind, so we agreed on me choosing the first name this time, and my husband the second/japanese name. So, our daughter is named "LARA SAYAKA"
Super fun video, you've inspired me to do one for my channel 😊 My daughter was going to be Hunter, then Addison, but we finally decided on Allison. My son was Hunter, then Hengry, then Harrison (which I still LOVE), and then we decided on Lochlan. I'd love to see a home tour, parenting videos (how you parent, discipline, etc), recipes you guys make, and maybe a Q&A with you and Ro.
Calling Henry “Hank” is cute. My husbands name is Lambertus but everyone calls him Robert or Robbie. My name is Natascha and I’m mostly called Tas, Natas, Tascha, Nati. When I was pregnant with twins I felt sure it would be a boy and a girl. Sadly I miscarried. But the names would have been Kimberley and Giovanni. When I was pregnant again. This time a girl I just didn’t feel good about using the names I chose for a girl. I was going with names like Marissa, Clarissa, Sharissa, when my husband joked we could call her Larissa....I immediately felt that that was the name. So when she was born we named her Larissa and second name Christel after my husbands late dad Chris.
@@fiffihoneyblossom5891 Its funny how you get Afrikaans out of that names. For me, it sounds like a mix of many countries. like Italy, Russia, Brittan, German.
@@MrsDeviliny that would match very well with our European ancestry. Britain in general and Germanic influence is quite prominent, especially Dutch, German and English. Even shortened versions of Russian names like Tania, Sasha, nadia and natasha are popular. That's why the varied nature of the names ring familiar to me. As well as the surname she/he uses as a user name.
I don’t have any children yet but I love fantasizing about baby names! My favorites names you mentioned are Atticus and Otto 🤗 The aristocats idea is amazinggg but I would’ve hesitated using Marie as well! If I had a son tomomorrow I would probably want to call him Marcel or Mateo. A daughter I’d love to call Aila June or Edie Lorelei ❤️
My older brother's name is Seth and I think it is so beautiful and unique. My name is so common but Seth only knew of one other in his whole school career
In France, Evan and Felix are common but I don't think there are lot of Otto and Pearl (there is the French version : Perle, not very common). But Henry (or Henri) and Rufus are like very old names. I hope my English is good I'm French, sorry 😉
Felix and Otto are quite common in Germany,. Rufus is more rate although I know three Rufus‘s. I really thought about the girl name „Fee“ which is the German word for „fairy“ but we didn‘t end up choosing it for our girl. For boys I loved the English names Emmett and Phoenix but those names would have been mispronounced way too often.
Thank you for this video. All your kids' names are beautiful. 😍 My boy's name is Vlad. We weren't great fans of middle names so he is just called Vlad. Other names I considered were Victor, Tudor and Stefan. They are rather traditional Romanian names. But my husband was so determined and in love with Vlad that it was pretty hard to argue with him. 😂 I really wished for a girl but couldn't really decide on a name. I had Anais, Veronica, Sabina and Vanessa on the list. Thankfully, I didn't have to choose in the end, cause he was a boy. :)
I love the name Felix so much and I am sure one day I will name my son Felix ( I am only 18 rn). I have been searching for a good combination for Felix.I especially love the letter F and L and the name that I found will consider these two letters. So a while ago I finally found this name. It's Felicita, Felicia, or Felicite.I am not quite sure but this is what I like.I have a list of names and these are the other names I like Vivian, Othilia, Adaleine, Adonis and Pacifica.

I'm stocked you thought about the name Atticus!
That's how we named our first baby. She's now 10 and loves her unique name!
I first heard the name Felix from the show road to avonlea. I’ve always liked it. It also reminds me of the Felix felicis spell from Harry Potter :) liquid luck!
I miss Anne with an E so much
The Aristocats' idea is amazing omg! I never thought of that possibility but as a Disney lover I totally adore it! It would've been really cute!!
Also loved Otto's birth coincidence with the number 8 and you twisting H and R's names at the end 😂😂
Can't wait for more videos like this!! 💗
I love there names and why you chose them! this is great Chloe!
I'm watching this again after the birth of the twins.🥰
I always wanted to be called Madelief (dutch for Daisy) when i was younger but its very similar to my sisters name so i always have it in mind for a childs name. Then when I was a bit older I heared the combination Merle Madelief (Mèrèlu Màdulyf pronounced) and i thought that was really nice
Was waiting for this😍😍
Hola, me encantan tus vídeos de tus dos canales de youtube! tus hijos son super tiernos. saludos desde Argentina, San Miguel de Tucuman.
This was so much fun to watch! I love the aristocats idea but I think the triplets middle names sound perfect as they are 😊
I really considered the name Jarrah when I was pregnant with my son, but we went ahead with Lochlan which was the name we had picked from the start. Still love the name Jarrah but unsure if I would use it now ❤️
My favourite name in your family is Rufus because there was a little boy on a TV show called Rufus and he was pretty cute!
Hello, I love your videos from your two TH-cam channels! your children are super cute. Greetings from Argentina, San Miguel de Tucuman.
Who’s here after Cosmo, Sylvie and baby#9?
Before you even mentioned the fish out of water book, that is what I thought of when you said Otto.
And a year later you actually are pregnant with twins now!
There where born 4 days ago!!!!
Cosmo & Sylvie💕
Super fun video, you've inspired me to do one for my channel 😊 My daughter was going to be Hunter, then Addison, but we finally decided on Allison. My son was Hunter, then Hengry, then Harrison (which I still LOVE), and then we decided on Lochlan.
I'd love to see a home tour, parenting videos (how you parent, discipline, etc), recipes you guys make, and maybe a Q&A with you and Ro.
I'm not a mother and not planning on being for at least another 6 years, but I love the name Elliot, with the occasional nickname Otto
You aren't Afrikaans by any chance? Your names sound Afrikaans....
@@MrsDeviliny but the Italian is unusual, for more modern and trendy names maby, but it's rare to come across them usually
After a long time we can make a comment here 😍... I
Lovely explanation Chloe 👍😍
I love your boys names!! And all the other names you mentioned. Indigo is super cute, Indy for short :)
I don’t have any children yet but I love fantasizing about baby names! My favorites names you mentioned are Atticus and Otto 🤗
The aristocats idea is amazinggg but I would’ve hesitated using Marie as well!
If I had a son tomomorrow I would probably want to call him Marcel or Mateo. A daughter I’d love to call Aila June or Edie Lorelei ❤️
My daughter’s name is Eden but we always call her Edie. It’s so precious on a little girl!
The funny thing is the name Rufus means "red haired" and he doesnt really have red hair, Felix does😂
Henry Magnus sounds really cool!
Loved this video!
This is such an awesome TH-cam channel you create some beautiful thumbnails that are absolute works of art!! What app do you use to make them?
I think every name you picked fits in!
Beautiful names that you have chosen. My daughter is named Salieri as we too wanted something unique.
Thank you for this video. All your kids' names are beautiful. 😍
My boy's name is Vlad.
We weren't great fans of middle names so he is just called Vlad. Other names I considered were Victor, Tudor and Stefan. They are rather traditional Romanian names. But my husband was so determined and in love with Vlad that it was pretty hard to argue with him. 😂
I really wished for a girl but couldn't really decide on a name. I had Anais, Veronica, Sabina and Vanessa on the list. Thankfully, I didn't have to choose in the end, cause he was a boy. :)
Oh I love that! What a cool name!! 💖
omg and Otto is also a pisces! seems like the perfekt name then!
Evan and Otto would make great Seth and Miles! And also Felix would totally rock the name Atticus 😀
I really liked the name axel for felix
I love the name Felix so much and I am sure one day I will name my son Felix ( I am only 18 rn). I have been searching for a good combination for Felix.I especially love the letter F and L and the name that I found will consider these two letters. So a while ago I finally found this name. It's Felicita, Felicia, or Felicite.I am not quite sure but this is what I like.I have a list of names and these are the other names I like Vivian, Othilia, Adaleine, Adonis and Pacifica.
Quisiera que el video tuviera subtítulos en español para no perderme nada 😣
Los adoro!! 😍🤗😇
