I thought it was a great mix of plot and vibes but I can see where you’re coming from with the plot stuff. Tress is a favorite fictional character of mine, I related to her a lot!! And also, the narrator is a character from the Cosmere who shows up in almost every other Brandon Sanderson book (which I didn’t know before reading Tress but now I know who he is because I’ve read more Cosmere books)!
So happy you loved Tress! The narrator is a character from other Brandon Sanderson books, so people who have read more by him probably liked that aspect more. I personally loved his use of the second person perspective because it makes me feel like I’m part of the story. And I absolutely loved the randomness. It made me so happy! That book is such a vibe!
