  • The Cologne light rail system opened in 1968 and operates both tram and light rail lines that form a comprehensive rail network in Cologne. The system is quite large with 198 kilometers of track across 12 lines. Fares are integrated with the Rhein-Ruhr S-Bahn in the Cologne city limits. One single ticket costs €2.50 per person. There are also many options to buy day passes and other ticket bundles. There is a variety of low and high-floor vehicles on the system. The high floor rolling stock consists of B80D, B100S, K5000, K5200, and HF6 trains. The low floor rolling stock consists of K4000 and K4500 with a new type of tram being inaugurated at the end of 2023 called the NF12 trams. All vehicles have a red and white rolling stock with the KVB logo on the front and sometimes side. Cologne is a city with a great public transit system and I definitely recommend using it if you are in the city. Enjoy the video :)
