My favorite part of this reaction was when at 6:25 Alejandra started singing along with Scott; at 6:36, Roman joined in with "Ohhh, Baby", and then Roman alone continued with the rest of Scott's solo. There was something about that sequence that I found just too amusing.

It shows how, when, and where this was done live, starting around midnight until sunrise on a very cold night (you can see their breath). The couch is on a frame, pulled by a truck type machine which is never in the shot. Which was on a suburban street. You can see the white strip and the small reflectors. Find this video, sit back, and enjoy this live shoot. Pentatonix is simply fantastic.

What no one seems to realize this was all filmed outside on a closed road. You'll see the occasional vehicle in the distance, that's what is so cool.

How to test the quality of your headphones, do the Avi test:

OR you are listening to a video made by these people, their audio is always trash!
All of the individual segments of this video were shot separately, but the whole shoot WAS done in one night, from just after sunset until just before sunrise. The entire video (including the opening and closing in the "office") was shot outdoors and it was a COLD night. The couch was remote control, but it almost had a mind of its own and was the cause of a lot of issues...at one point, it even ran over Kevin!
Great reaction, guys. Roman, you are so right that the music is incredible. I find it astounding that nobody doing a reaction to this song ever comments on the most technically difficult runs in the song. By that I mean the descending bell chords. Ascending are tricky. Descending without going flat is incredibly difficult. Not many a capella groups can carry that off.

Okay as new reactors to Pentatonix its imperative you react to their "Daft Punk Medley."
Its a medley from one of their first albums and was the song that won them their first Grammy! Good luck, its always a wonder how the 5 of them can sound so full but we all just chalk it up to them being amazing lol
Yeah, Daft Punk is their first Grammy for their video, and It's straight off the heels of The Sing-Off win... And the prize contract with Sony Music Entertainment... which Sony honored by dumping them the next week. Why? Sony said they didn't feel A capella was "marketable". To Pentatonix that meant bringing it to TH-cam via videos sitting on that mustard colored couch, and recording their first Official Video in a kitchen and a closet. It was "Daft Punk". They won a Grammy for that video! Not marketable? Joke was on Sony about then!

Pentatonix is great, they have so many (over 100) videos to choose from. If you want pure vocal harmony, may I suggest my favorite, Run To You. It is an original. There is a behind the scene video to this. It is very interesting. Daft Punk is the video they got their first Grammy for.
this is going to be a lot of fun watching you all embark on your pentatonix discovery adventure! headphones strongly recommended in order to get the full Avi/bass experience. I have some favorites i could recommend/request, but in the end id pretty much be requesting them all. basically you just have to watch all pentatonix videos because seriously they're all so so so amazing. they just reel you in with their amazing wall of sound, and artistry, fun and emotion. Daft Punk medley, Beyoncé Medley, Michael Jackson, their covers of If I ever Fall in Love, Somebody That I Used to Know, Gold, Imagine, Mary Did You Know, Royals, Perfume (Jpop) medley... infinity...

Loved the reaction! It's because of Avi (bass singer) and Kevin (beat-boxer & tenor), that they have such a full sound. To really hear them, I hope you guys listen to their videos with headphones, even if off-camera. If possible, please react to: "PTX Love Again", "PTX La La Latch" and "PTX Gold". There are so many good ones, and you seem to really appreciate their skills, so any reactions will be great!

There is very little vocal production beyond the megaphone and that's just a distorted speaker (like all megaphones).
Watch the live version of ptx and mitch does'nt have a megaphone...
They put a little distortion on Mitch’s voice in the audio version, but only a little. According to Scott.
It was just a prop. They didn't use it in the studio version, nor do they use it in live performances.
Can anyone tell me when they switched bass singers. I saw them in concert on September 1st 2018 and they had a new bass singer. They did this song and it was amazing it was how they ended the concert you could not of asked for anything better. Made me wish the concert wasn't over.

This video is not a "live" (one-shot) video. They recorded the track in a studio and then filmed it while lip-syncing the track. They do both kinds of videos. For a "live" video check out "Jolene" with Dolly Parton or any of their "Evolution of ..." videos.

And as for future PTX reactions, I can give you a metric buttload of ideas, but I'd suggest starting with their "Evolution of..." videos ("Evolution of Music", "Evolution of Michael Jackson", and "Evolution of Beyoncé", preferably in that order). Then progress on to any number of their covers, particularly the "Daft Punk" medley, the arrangement of which won them their first Grammy. Then progress on to some of their original songs, especially "Sing", "Love Again" (my personal favorite), "Run to You", and "Can't Sleep Love". Those four songs are all so totally different from each other, but illustrate different facets of their capabilities. Then finish off with the videos from their most recent EP--"Bohemian Rhapsody" (this one), "Jolene (featuring Dolly Parton)"--their third Grammy winner, "Imagine" and "Can't Help Falling in Love". Most Pentaholics can come up with many others (including other collaborations and side projects with various members of the group. like the stuff from Superfruit you've already discovered) but those would be my personal recommendations.

I've been a fan since they were on Sing Off, so please allow me to give some hard core advice on PTX. Start with the Sing Off episodes (it's legitimately their voices only!) and just dedicate two weeks to reacting to PTX videos. You will not regret it. I personally recommend Love Lockdown, Let's Get It On, Dog Days Are Over, Love Again (PTX original song), Imagine, Radioactive, Somebody that I Used to Know, & Run to You ( PTX original song).
