Let’s be honest, - the truth about those thick walls, - they keep the house fresh and cool in Summer, - and bloody freezing in Winter!
They actually help to insulate during the winter. I’ve lived in mètre think walled homes both in France and Italy and once you have warmed the rooms, the heat remains. It all depends on the insulation in the roof and weather there is damp, otherwise they’re great in my opinion and experience 😀👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Is the street outside a pedestrian only street?
No, we drove down one side but they are very quiet as it's only local traffic mostly. No noise and people drive extremely slowly.
