So I did some testing but first some key points : - Crescent Moon lvl 7 > Royal Bow lvl 11 (no I don't have Sagittarius, and yes I know these bows aren't max but I can't be wasting resources lol) - I did my testing without the acid build and replaced the acid ring for a pure dps ring *Testing was with Crescent Moon and with mod active* - Archers Crest ring is too fast to enable shroud to work ( with Crescent Moon Mod active ) but does work without mod Rings I used : + Probability Cord ( crit damage by 30% ) + Stone of Balance ( 7% damage, all sources ) + Zanias Malice ( Weak-spot damage by 10% for 7s, stacks x3 ) + Ring of Flawed Beauty ( 25% ranged weak-spot damage ) * Still unsure of the Ring of Flawed Beauty being used on bosses just because you might miss and it affects other guns. I like using Enigma or Nebula so those will automatically do 15% less damage * Alternatives for the ring could include : + Stone of Expanse ( Ranged damage by 12%, all other damage reduced by 6% ) + Vestige of Power ( after not being damaged for 7s, increased range and melee damage by 10% ) * Yes, these rings do less damage but are more forgiving * Amulet used : + Ankh of Power ( 15% to all damage. Consuming a relic increases damage by double i.e. 30% for 15 seconds) * If you also run damage fragments on your relic, this can be really over powered, especially if you have 6-10 relic charges * Relic Fragments used : + Ranged Critical Chance + Ranged Critical Damage + Ranged Damage * Weak-spot Damage can also be used though I honestly wouldn't know what to swap it out with and considering most people save their relics to heal and not for damage. So I didn't really see the point in testing it so I left it up to personal preference * Mutator used on bow : + Deadly Calm ( Continuously aiming increases ranged damage by 10% for 3 seconds ) * Now I want to note that this is also at base lvl * ( If all the Mutators were maxed, it would be between Deadly Calm, Battery, or Slayer ) * Slayer at Max lvl might interfere with Hunter's Shroud as it does give a 15% Bonus to Reload Speed * Damage Numbers : + Bow Only - Weak-spot w/o crit : 1,710 - Weak-spot w/ crit : 3,180 + Bow w/ both skills active e.i. Bullet Storm / Hunters Shroud - Weak-spot w/o crit : 2,137 - Weak-spot w/ crit : 3,968 + Bow w/ both skills and Crescent Bow Mod ( Basically x2 Damage and faster draw / reload speeds ) - Weak-spot w/o crit : 4,269 - Weak-spot w/ crit : 7,936 ( This number is considering both arrows get the crit damage a.k.a. the max damage. Damage can be lower if only 1 arrow gets the crit and the other arrow gets regular weak-spot damage = 6,105 ) No I did NOT test with relic charges. Reasoning above ^ under * Relic Fragments used * * AS STATED : NONE of my equipment was maxed during testing * + Bow lvl 7 + Mutator base lvl + Power lvl 16 This test is just to show that you can still get decent damage numbers without fully upgrading everything. Please let me know if there are better rings or amulets!
Wow that’s very detailed! I pinned this for others that are interested. These testing numbers will be different due to everyone not having the same equipment right off the back so I’m sure there are better rings and amulets in the future. I believe there is a total of 127-137 rings in the game and i probably only have like 50. This bow is weakest in its class but the build setup used gives it a edge. PSA since this is pinned, ANYONE WANTING THE HIGHEST TIER FOR FRAGMENTS, simply set your Adventure Mode to Apocalypse and then buy fragments from Dwell (you do not need to kill things in Apocalypse to get them) buying from Dwell while in Apocalypse will allow you to get Mythic Fragments

I like the video, I have 1 recommendation besides the Archers Crest and Supercharge mutator, I recommend swapping Hunter to your primary class, each weakpoint hit will increase the duration of your hunter ability, otherwise great video

I feel like the damage decrease of Ring of Flawed Beauty doesn’t work all the time, I’ve tested it with Crescent Moon, I hit 7560 something like that and I intentionally missed a weak spot and I still hit near that number on my following weak spot hit
Hmmm interesting, I feel the crescent moon just naturally got that much power. You might actually hit harder than that? Have you seen a higher number than what you stated or is that your max hit?
This build could be cool, thing you don't realize is that currently there is a bug that the royal hunting bow does not have its damage type changed to the element from the mod. This bug applies to all the elemental mods, It will take on the passive effect (crit chance for acid) as well as cause the corrosive effect (burn for fire, overload for electricity) but it does not change the primary damage type like it is supposed to. Where as all the rest of the weapons work correctly with these mods. Also heads up, the acid ring does not boost the corrosive damage DOT proc. They are considered two different things.
Word but it should work for my secondary weapon though because it’s an acid weapon. At least it’s still viable for my secondary weapon if it’s bugged on the primary I was also told to add the gas giant to the mix
Barkskin is outdone by fortify trait in almost every case unless you're going armorless highly recommend maxing engineer for fortify and take points out of barkskin(even light armors like dendroid start at 43 armor*17.7 dmg reduction to 62 armor 31.1 and thats at level 9 for fortify)

I like the build, but i’ll always use Focus. Only due to the length it can run for. If it’s a boss with less health then sure mark probably beats out focus, but for end game bosses like annihilation shroud just doesn’t cut it.
Yeah I shroud with everything I would like to see if I can get through apocalypse with it as well. But it’s been a breeze for me anything below. I don’t disagree with you in the sense that focus may be better for you. 💪🏾 Each their own!
With pretty much your setup, but with focus, and the bleed whetstone I was able to crack a consistent 120k with several weapons. I used twisting wounds on my sidearm as well as corrosive rounds.
@Istaysocial I have used both focus and Shroud on annihilation and Shroud always did better. I ran a challenger/hunter bow build with challenger in the main slot and destroyed annihilation on apocalypse
Yess absolutely!! I cut that last clip short but at the end of it I did a 360 one shot on one of the enemies it was quite the excitement! Definitely and I mean definitely give bows a chance!
you are playing on veteran so of course it's gonna melt. a paper clip could do the same as this. if you do testing on an apoc boss or 2, one that can be hit in the weakspot and one that doesn't have a weakspot, then we'll see

Yeah it’s the weakest of all the bows but that’s why I had to make it stronger with this build and catch it up to speed it’s not that far off from the moon bow now but it’s still weaker on higher difficulties like apocalypse.

The acid ring doesn't make much sense while wearing the expanse ring (-6% to the acid dmg). Seems like Zanias is much better for this build, maybe even Burden of Destroyer.
Nightmare good all the way through. Apocalypse open roaming okay bit bosses it’s all about mechanics but you will defeat bosses slower compared to other weapons
The fastest way to max is to upgrade your weapon to 20 that’s how you max you power level. The next step is to play the game a lot I got almost 100 hrs already played
Well what I do for xp is play the entire suvivor campaign, rerolled it, go up to veteran, do the same, and I am on nightmare now. That’s how I been getting my xp.. fight everything, grab everything
Because I am showcasing the early game weapons first that I unlocked. I am going to showcase the end game weapons later, the game has only been out for a week and a half

Yeah facts I know what you mean. I think there is a misunderstanding on what I was trying to say…I am saving bows like the crescent moon for end game content because weapons like that are the most feasible for them …so I am shining light and creating good builds on the starter weapons like these because they are meant to help those stuck on the beginner stages get through them with a view of a better build they might not know about

Because it’s still a useful weapon that can clear content for veteran-nightmare, doesn’t require you to only use 1 bow it’s a viable option for those looking for an alternative than just using something that carries you by itself.
I was messing around with a fart build...yes a fart build. With the amulet that makes you fart acid when you swap weapons and found out you can buff with items and it does crit. That with the AOE trait maxed I go around farting on enemies and it will crit for like 3k. It's hilariously underrated.
@@BlackDoomax Im not a build maker by any means. Its just a build that I thought was funny. The amulet you get on NR, at the end of the "Dormant" instance where you have to kill all the enemies within the time limit. The rings are up to you, since it crits you can go the +7 damage ring plus the +10 elemental damage ring with the crit ring. I personally like to use the mod decrease rings with the elemental mod reduction ring plus the invulnerable window ring. So I can just roll around farting everyone to death. Plus the fart gun (sorry im so bad with all the names) cause its mod sends out what I call fart wisps so basically im fully dedicated to rolling and farting. It does pretty good damage for free.
To all the people who asked about your traits from the last video... It shows your traits on the right side of your equipment screen... No need to actually go into the trait menu. Silly.
Yeah, this bow hits hard. The royal bow level 9 was only hitting 200 or so more than this bow with no upgrades, 😂 Max it and get the mod (super charger) for 30% drew speed
crossbow is actully better way more damage i do this and i just have random arch type also slayer on crossbow level 10 zenia ring the Crit ring silverback pistol with twisted horn mutator and weakshot ring and amulet with bleed crit rate and damage
Nah but decent on nightmare! Tbh I haven’t tried Apocalypse yet so It could work.. I’m literally beating bosses on nightmare with a pistol so I mean it all boils down to how well you can handle mechanics
-Shaed Bloom Crystal, can be found in Losomn, Found in the Malefic Palace where you originally met the jester and obtained the Magic Quill. -The Probability Cord is a rare item, and it can be difficult to find. It is only available in the Root Earth dungeon and is a random drop from the final boss. -Acid Stone Ring can be bought from Reggie for 500 scrap currency in Ward 13 -Stone of Expanse can be found in N'Erud, Timeless Horizon on a ledge. -Ring of Flawd Beauty can be obtain from Cass's shop as a random rotation -Assassin Seal can be found in Council Tribunal in Losomn. Just climb behind the One True King, and it is in there on a ledge.
Please read the description of the video! It is not meant for apocalypse, these are builds that are helpful for casual players first I will get to apocalypse once I help the rest of the community. Hardcore gamers need to realize they are not the majority.

Who the heck is setting the benchmark? Hardcore players need to chill and realize not everyone can make it to the higher difficulties. Just have fun with the game, these builds are meant to help those on lower difficulties first. Relax
Have you tested this build on nightmare? Because I know I did..and it clears content just as fine. The issue is people mainly believe the builds are the way to get to the top when the main factor is honestly.. memorizing the mechanics. I used the bow by itself, no secondary, or melee weapon.. Just the bow to finish the final boss because all it took was me memorizing the mechanics.
I don’t see how? Extending my shroud only based off of weakspot damage doesn’t seem better than unlimited ammo and automatic reload when gunslinger skill activates?

Something to add, the Crescent Moon bow is considered a boss bow, so a +7 CM is equivalent to a +14/15 Royal Bow.
you dont have to use the heal to get relic buffs they are on just by equipping.

Is this after the patch? Hunters shroud was bugged and has been fixed now, it is no longer multiplicative, its now addative

Yeah facts I know what you mean. I think there is a misunderstanding on what I was trying to say…I am saving bows like the crescent moon for end game content because weapons like that are the most feasible for them …so I am shining light and creating good builds on the starter weapons like these because they are meant to help those stuck on the beginner stages get through them with a view of a better build they might not know about

Hmmm I was using it on my secondary I believe but yeah if I didn’t have the mutator I had on I would more than likely try Slayer instead.
Those mutators don't work on bows, if it's the "reloading causes next shot to x% more" it doesn't do anything for, at least with Cresent moon bow

Because it’s still a useful weapon that can clear content for veteran-nightmare, doesn’t require you to only use 1 bow it’s a viable option for those looking for an alternative than just using something that carries you by itself.
I was messing around with a fart build...yes a fart build. With the amulet that makes you fart acid when you swap weapons and found out you can buff with items and it does crit.
That with the AOE trait maxed I go around farting on enemies and it will crit for like 3k.
It's hilariously underrated.

@@BlackDoomax Im not a build maker by any means. Its just a build that I thought was funny. The amulet you get on NR, at the end of the "Dormant" instance where you have to kill all the enemies within the time limit.
The rings are up to you, since it crits you can go the +7 damage ring plus the +10 elemental damage ring with the crit ring.
I personally like to use the mod decrease rings with the elemental mod reduction ring plus the invulnerable window ring. So I can just roll around farting everyone to death. Plus the fart gun (sorry im so bad with all the names) cause its mod sends out what I call fart wisps so basically im fully dedicated to rolling and farting. It does pretty good damage for free.

Yeah, this bow hits hard. The royal bow level 9 was only hitting 200 or so more than this bow with no upgrades, 😂 Max it and get the mod (super charger) for 30% drew speed

crossbow is actully better way more damage i do this and i just have random arch type also slayer on crossbow level 10 zenia ring the Crit ring silverback pistol with twisted horn mutator and weakshot ring and amulet with bleed crit rate and damage

Nah but decent on nightmare! Tbh I haven’t tried Apocalypse yet so It could work.. I’m literally beating bosses on nightmare with a pistol so I mean it all boils down to how well you can handle mechanics

You could definitely use it on the bow! I tested both deadly calm gave me a higher dps for some reason 🤷🏾♂️ but both are valid

-Shaed Bloom Crystal, can be found in Losomn, Found in the Malefic Palace where you originally met the jester and obtained the Magic Quill.
-The Probability Cord is a rare item, and it can be difficult to find. It is only available in the Root Earth dungeon and is a random drop from the final boss.
-Acid Stone Ring can be bought from Reggie for 500 scrap currency in Ward 13
-Stone of Expanse can be found in N'Erud, Timeless Horizon on a ledge.
-Ring of Flawd Beauty can be obtain from Cass's shop as a random rotation
-Assassin Seal can be found in Council Tribunal in Losomn. Just climb behind the One True King, and it is in there on a ledge.

Yeah Corrosive Damage can surely pack a punch with the D.O.T especially on top of the all the bonus damage the bow utilizes.

Please read the description of the video! It is not meant for apocalypse, these are builds that are helpful for casual players first I will get to apocalypse once I help the rest of the community. Hardcore gamers need to realize they are not the majority.

That's normal difficulty, builds don't matter there. If you want to showcase a build, the benchmark is the final boss on apocalypse.
Shit even nightmare. Majority of players won’t play apoc.

Who the heck is setting the benchmark? Hardcore players need to chill and realize not everyone can make it to the higher difficulties. Just have fun with the game, these builds are meant to help those on lower difficulties first. Relax
Have you tested this build on nightmare? Because I know I did..and it clears content just as fine. The issue is people mainly believe the builds are the way to get to the top when the main factor is honestly.. memorizing the mechanics. I used the bow by itself, no secondary, or melee weapon.. Just the bow to finish the final boss because all it took was me memorizing the mechanics.

You need Archers Crest and Supercharger mutator both increase your draw speed

With hunter's shroud you don't want to draw too fast. You need a little over 1 second to pass for shroud to reapply after your last shot

@@AKingsCreation yes and also there is a mutator called superchager for faster charge time on bow 30% at lvl 10 and the lvl 10 unlock is 15% crit chance I just like the bow lol
