I like your road trip videos! I'm going to take my Model Y LR on a road trip from Austria to Poland next week. The Supercharger network is not very dense there. Glad Teslas are so efficient.
Funny seeing the 24/Briley/Kroger charger again after also moving to FL over a year ago. Glad they expanded it; I bet it gets tons of use during weekdays.
My wife and I stopped at that Jasper Florida super charger last year on our way to visit family in Orlando. The toilets weren't even working inside then and we had to use like porta potties that were set up on what seem like a tractor trailer bed outside the service station.
I have a question, I had a 2018 model 3 long range. Sold it got a Ioniq 5 but miss my Tesla. So thinking about Model Y long range or Model 3 long range, what do you recommend? and is the cabin more quiet then the 2018 versions. I don’t know what to do? Need some feedback. Love my model 3 but open to Y. Thanks.
That is good efficiency for such high speeds. Wise to be running that Uniden. How do you think the LR compares to the SR car for the trip like this? Cannonball attempt? This is going to be interesting. Would like to see how you address the wind noise.
The leg before was more traffic and therefore less speed. Lower speed is more efficient and the computer is constantly making adjustments to consumption predictions
So cool. By the way, I have difficulty communicating because I had a stroke in Broca’s area, the part of the brain that controls speech. 2/8/2021 but I lived again. (My wife helped me compose this.)
You better stay OUT of those ICE 🧊 cars! Not a very good EV envangist if you cannot convert your dad! Get a Tesla Plaid and race your dad's old ICE car and see who wins.
@Bearded Tesla Guy Ok, I guess that makes you the black sheep of the family. I guess racing a model X and losing was pretty embarrassing. In time, the automotive business will make the change as more EV'S cheaper priced, plus we need larger SUVs and trucks. We are already seeing a few models out and many more in the next two years. I watch all your videos. Keep up the good work.
I get the buffer for safety but I wish I could set the arrival SOC at chargers at 5% or less
Ahhhh missed ur road trippin videos! Glad to see u back on the road
Just shy of 10k miles in 16 days…
@@BeardedTeslaGuy love it! Did 11500km myself on my roadtrip a year ago, May 2022

Yea I’d imagine too though I’ve never waited there before

😂😂
Nice editing and music selection. Drive safe brother.
Cheers
You’ve inspired me to create road trip content myself… but this one… don’t think I’m gonna do this one 😂
Haha this was a BIG trip lol
Thank you for interesting road trip can't wait for more.
Cheers
I always look forward to these videos, you do such a great job!
What are your thoughts on the radar detector you are using? Beneficial?
Appreciate it. The radar detector isn’t something I usually use or even need. On this particular trip though, I need it
Please post a video on what you decided to resolve the wind noise.
I will. Found out something interesting about it and there is a fix
@@BeardedTeslaGuy Looking forward to the solution. Do you think you'll drop a video about it this week?
Does that radar detector you have work well? Any tips and any chance can stealth mount it behind screen perhaps?
Yes, it worked amazingly amzn.to/45gWln9
I found out you can do 87mph (in autopilot) if you put the display in kilometers (it allows 140kph)
Yep

Y is the best value. More room, more comfortable seat position, marginally more cost, less range.
Thank you so much!

LR is always better on long trips. If it’s just once though, it would be fine with just the SR
Welcome to Georgia!

What software version are you currently on? Safe travels. BTW Arbys have excellent wifi.
Most recent 🤷♂️
Bearded~ yo. so beautiful job. till next time- :))
Lots of miles yet to go on this series!
Don’t have planes in the US?
It looks like the leg from Nashville to Elizabethtown took 9% more than predicted, why was that?
Speed
The leg before was more traffic and therefore less speed. Lower speed is more efficient and the computer is constantly making adjustments to consumption predictions
You should have gotten your friend a 1 way flight to NY LOL. And saved yourself 1k miles
I had to get my mom her birthday present anyways so I visited with family
Which radar detector is that?

You were not able to go 85 on Autopilot were you?
Yes, that’s the max in MPH that you can do right now
Tint the windows to keep the temps low in the car so the A/C doesn't have to work as hard!!
These windows are tinted to 20%
@@BeardedTeslaGuy Oo my bad! couldn't tell from the video!
If you are going to be driving with such alacrity ( "avg 85 MPH"), is it OK if I watch the video at 1.5 x speed? 😉
Haha
As long as you do it for scientific purposes
i could never take a road trip in my tesla, the wind noise is unbearable after a while, got the lexus for that
I found out there is an issue with the seals and there is a fix for it
@@BeardedTeslaGuy How do you fix it?
I can’t believe you only brought shorts
🤦♂️
I’m in Sanford, tell me the next time you do this Cannonball 😂. I want to do this! ❤😊
Lol
Me too
Your going to get a ticket
Nah
You’re
Grammar police 😅
You never tell us how much money it takes to charge your car 🚙
I used to be able to do that but it doesn’t show anymore with free charging
Sorry my bad, I would love to own a Tesla but can’t afford it lol 😂 plus it would be very hard to keep my foot 🦶 out of it lol 😂
Bro you need to come to japan and tesla out
I’m down!

My LR X is faster than his Jag lol. My whole family is in the automotive business. Tesla represents the death of their industry. Pretty hard sell
