I love this project I have been a polymer clay enthusiast for years and I just started doing loom knitting and I am so frustrated because my balls of yarn just keep rolling everywhere but all of the bowls that I’ve seen in stores are so expensive and this is just such a great idea and I have so much polymer clay it’s not funny. One idea that I have as a suggestion is I’ve also done a lot of resin work and UV resin in particular or you could even use UV gel polish topcoat as a way to glaze your pieces the resin and the gel topcoat create such a hard protective layer and they make them shine like you would not believe I think you would really really like the way it ends up making them look like they’re almost glass. End it will make them so much harder and safer from cracking and breaking. Thank you for the great idea and good luck
I’m excited about this Sara. The yarn bowls are so expensive and this project will be fun, our bowls will be one of a kind. 😊 Thanks for another great polymer clay video.
Thank you Sara! I just finished making my first bowl... I used a solid color for the first layer then I put another layer on top that was blended color... ( the 2 layers helped to thicken the bowl) I am going to try your way now! Thanks again 😀
So cute 🎉 Now I've noticed that you don't bake the bowl at the same temperature as your beads or buttons. Is that right? Thank you for showing how to make these.😊
I love this, I actually tried to make one but I guess I made it too thin because when I went to take it off it came off in pieces, any idea if there's a way to reuse it after it's been baked?
I tired everything one way to another and it would crack on me and break. So I thought what would happen if I put the clay inside of the bowl instead of the outside to shape, bake at 275 for 25 min. It worked! So if others are having a hard time as I did, try inside the bowl and baking it that way.
Hi Sara my friend and I are going to make yarn bowls and I wanted to make sure I get the right oven temperature. This video says 225 and the other videos you have says 275. Can you reply and so I make sure I get the right one. Thank you so much, we are going to make them in a couple of days.
This was an interesting video. I might make a similar bowl from your instructions, for which I thank you. Is it bad manners to say that, several times, I was tempted to look over my left shoulder to see who you were talking to. Could you look at the lens occasionally, so I feel included, rather than always focusing on the monitor? Please?
Wow, Sara! Great project! I can't wait to try this. I love watching you because it always makes me smile!
Thanks So much!

Thanks Sarah, I saw one at Michael's yesterday and they wanted 25.00 for a small one. Now I can just make it myself

Yes 😊 That's correct.
I love this idea! definitely going to try this. 🐩
How much sculpey did you use for the medium/large bowl? I'm keen to make one around that size :)
makes me smile
Could you tape the parchment paper down?? Can’t wait to try this!!! Great Christmas gift!!!
I don't think so, it might burn in the oven.
thats what I was looking for thank you ❤❤❤❤
You can bake them longer it gives them stregnth I bake my jewelry for an hour
You are too cute what a sweetheart..thanks for your videos and tips
I love this. Because I mostly use Redheart Skeins, I was trying to figure out what glass item I could use. Do you have any idead
Any bowl the is oven safe.
Did you make your necklace and earrings, they look really nice.
Nonna M YES, I did. Thanks.
Hi Sarah I made your clay handles for my hooks by your video. Tonite I made a yarn bowl by your video. Thank you so much! 💜
It might've been cute to cut from areas of different colors, then insert the cut pieces into the holes they didn't come from.
YY4Me133 Great idea!
I’ve never worked with this before. Someone bought me a ceramic one for Christmas last year. Are these heavy enough not to slide when you crochet?
I have never had one slide.
Do you use a sheet pan just for your clay projects or do you also use them for cooking?
Donna Doolittle I have several pans I use only for baking clay.
I love this, I actually tried to make one but I guess I made it too thin because when I went to take it off it came off in pieces, any idea if there's a way to reuse it after it's been baked?
Chantal B no, I had that same issue. Need to go a little thicker.
Sara Sach ok thank you for letting me know, I guess that's how people learn by making mistakes. At least I know for next time, thank you
Thk u ❤️❤️❤️👍👍
if you don't have a glass bowl can you use a metal bowl too cook your polymer clay on?
Karine Gervais I have never tried it, but would probably work as long as it is oven safe.
thank you now I can make my own

Mine only cracked with the clay was too thin.

yes, it's Preheat Oven to 225, Bake for 15 minutes. Have fun!
How did you remove the glass ?you did not show
You just take the bowl out once it's cooled.
Thank you
yank you ! love this .
The package says bake at 275 you say 225, want to get it right going to work with it soon
I baked mine at 225
@@SaraSach thanks .
Good midday afternoon “ Sara “
If you make your slot for yarn AFTER you bake it, the integrity remains.
I have tried that and did not get good results. The integrity def. did not remain.

Sorry you thought I was rude. We are not professional , just trying to have fun and help people.
@@SaraSach I think u mis-read her comment.. she was referring to herself re: bad manners by mentioning that you were looking off center frame.
mine cracked in about 4 different places when I took it off the bowl😭😭
You probably rolled it our to thin. The first one I made cracked also, but them I made them thicker.
