But I love ridding them for the enjoyment. And knowing that NewFlyer is Candian that makes it better.

The more trolleybusses (and electrified rail) the better! I am ardent advocate for transport electrification.

The fact is though, most drivers use this practice while waiting at a light, however it should never be used while laying over without having the maxi-brake enabled as the rear door inter-lock eventually releases after a given period of time.

OK. I was just wondering because there would eventually be detours, like car accidents, along the route that the trolleybus travels.

6:36 how do you even sit in that big articulation couch back when these were brand new? That looks like something to rest on when the bus gets full. It makes more sense now to have single seats instead

What would happen if these went off wire? If the trolleybus would make a wrong turn of wire what would happen?

Not much would happen. They are equipped with auxiliary batteries and can run short distances off the wire. The poles often come off on corners. The batteries allow the driver to pull over and put the poles back on the wire.

Never rode on a trolleybus... many of them are hybrid, actually... at least the ones in Seattle are.

Swiss cities have 2 and 3 section articulated trolleybusses, it snows lots, but they never have fishtail accidents; why is that??

BC's Trolley-Buses are cool...though were not gonna see any ETB's here in Maple Ridge cause of no Trolley lines. I've never seen a clean bus before, When ever iI get on a bus they are all dirty and the windows are scratched and grafity all over the windows.

When you look at this type of bus, it takes up a lot of real estate. Double deckers would be a better solution for Vancouver if it weren't for telephone lines and wires.

Thats not a trolley - its a trolley-bus or "ETB" as they are known - also can be called a trolley-coach - looks longer than 60 feet.....thats why I asked - but cool thats the same length as our artics here.

Look at the Electroline flexible overhead wires. This Swiss patent is widely used in the world. Why new Canadian trolleybuses must drive under such garbage overhead network I saw in Toronto, Hamilton, Edmonton and in Vancouver. This must be also upgraded in order to compete with noisy buses. We need to protect our health and the environment.

What is wrong with Ontario government? Why not building new trolleybus routes? If Venezuela can do, we can do too! Spending 700.000,00 on one hybrid bus that has higher polution in city driving than a regular bus does not make any sense. This is an european study. Why not to look overseas to see how they run their business. We can learn more there, rather than re-invent already invented!
