Of all the guitar tutorial channels on TH-cam this is the only one that actually takes the time to explain everything in simple, accessible terms, plays the song with you slowly and actually made me not want to give up after 3 minutes from turning into the guitarist just showing off his own skill. This is the MOST HELPFUL tutorial I've watched! I've been trying to learn this for a week (I'm a beginner) but I couldn't switch from one chord to another at all! This video helped me switch chords smoothly in a DAY! I'm so happy! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
@@havenhigh6707 hi! all i can say is that practice practice practice! i do have a tip though! instead of using three fingers for the G chord just press down the upper two strings and let go of the last one. this makes it easier to switch imo. also, just practice chord switching w/o focussing too much on the strumming pattern. it gets easier once you practice! also, one more thing, if you're trying to learn other songs, search up 'easy chords' this will help you play a couple Barre chords but it'll be an easier variation. also, while experimenting with chords you find difficult, try switching finger positions or don't press down a string. if the chord still sounds similar to when you play it in the usual way, then you can drop pressing down that particular string. i hope this helps you! feel free to ask me anything else if you need! i'm not a pro, but i'm way better than when i had started so.. :) have fun! 🌟

This tutorial was fantastic thanks so much! This is one of my girlfriend's favourite songs so I really wanted to learn it for her. Now I just need to get the singing along with it but my brain does not want to cooperate with that, it will just take more practice, thanks again!
If you want to practice singing and playing at the same time, maybe break it down a bit. First, try playing the chords, downstrokes only, and singing along. Then try playing the strumming pattern with no chords (just mute the strings by lightly touching them with your chord-hand) and singing along with just the rhythm. Then try putting it together after that. Good luck!
