I work for a restaurant. We get an hourly salary even if there are no deliveries at all during that hour. 9 hour shifts. Less independence and always going back to the same restaurant is a bit annoying but it's more secure. Plus I'm swimming in cash from tips

It's insame how much you can earn by delivering in US. I work as a deliverer in Finland, Kaarina and yesterday I was waiting for an order for 2 hours earn only 4,50 €. I heard about the guy who earn 8k€ per month in the center of Helsinki, but Wolt doesnt open me another location and I spend 30 minutes to get to the town where I work and I have 2-3 orders an hour usually, but sometimes only I'm waiting for a long time
yes DoorDash has been super dead for me I'll be out for like 5 hours and not a single order. Luckily I also do Uber Eats and it's very good in the area I deliver. Multi app people!!

here in montreal it goes from -35°C (-31°F) to -15°C (5°F) during winter I do uber deliveries on bike and it's gonna be -4°C (25°F) -6°C (21°F) in the next coming days with snow. It's so cold when you drive on bike btw uber deliveries is getting horrible here in montreal. Even with less drivers due to cold the work is still not busy. I think it's just because people don't have as much money as before so they don't order food on uber or doordash

I suggest having 3 items: 1. A solid chain for locking around posts etc when you'll be out of line of site (ie. going up apartment building). I dont like the U shaped locks, they not big enough. Good chain is not expensive, i think maybe $50? Kryptonite locks are the high end 2. An external alarm that that has a tight attachment to bike frame. Motion sets it off. Get a loud one! Simple remote for quick and easy On/Off. Thieves dont like loud alarms. Around $22- $25ish 3. A front brake and throttle lock. It is thick heavy steel that locks onto your handlebar brake and throttle, meaning the bike is in brake mood and wont move and wont throttle. It can fit in your pocket, lock/unlock quick. Around $22-$25ish 4. A hidden GPS tracker. I dont have one but probably will get one in future. ebikes and emopeds are huge targets for thieves so your concern is very valid!

I just log on and boom orders are coming in, no need to schedule. You wont be able to use the electric bike here, even with my scooter the orders are long distances and short pay. Takes about 2hrs and i make 50 a day so thats my rent. You wont make money but will always be busy.
