    Hi there,
    I have been a left back + center back for basically my whole life (probably around 13 years), but its just not fun anymore, also because the wingers and striker in my team suck.. But over the years, i only learned to defend and my dribbling techniques are really bad. My ball control is pretty good, but I am just panicking when I am in front of an "enemy". Do you have any tips for me, getting rid of that panic? FYI I wanted to quit football, but your videos made me realize I need to change my position. You deserve much more subs

      Thank you Bernard! To get rid of that panic, I’d highly recommend playing as much pickup games or small sided games with friends where there is no pressure when playing. That way you can try things and try to develop your dribbling and passing under pressure! That way in games you’ll be more confident in yourself! If possible, try to play in the midfield in these pickup games. With pressure able to come from all sides, it is the toughest position to know where to go with the ball. When not playing with friends, I’d keep working on first touch, dribbling, and passing as these are the essentials! I hope this helps and feel free to ask me any other questions!

    How to measure my improvement in my soccer skills

    • @KreiderAcademy
      @KreiderAcademy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question! Depends on the skill. I have a longer video that will come out in the fall on this for dribbling where I will measure my improvement and see how much better I’ve gotten.
      Essentially try to use drills that will always be the same and attempt them over time and see if your time or score or whatever improves. Another way to see if you’re improving is just by evaluating your performances. If you’re a forward are you scoring more goals and getting more assists? If you’re a defender are you conceding less goals or do you win you 1v1s more often? In general, are you playing on a better team than you used to? Are you getting more playing time for the current team you play for than you used to?

      These are ways to see if you’re getting better. You need to be well rounded with your evaluation. Long-term it’s important to improve in all ways as a player

    Just what I needed! Additional question, how long should a training session be? I've heard of people saying 2-3 hours, and then there's people in the camp of 1 hour of efficient training.

      Personally I’m somewhere in the middle. I aim to have my sessions 1.5 hours but it often becomes 2 hours with a warm up and cool down. Part of it is preference, but another important part is how intense is it? If you’re doing technical training like this session with the crossing and shooting, it should be longer. But if you’re doing intense training then it can be shorter for higher quality! I hope this helps😁
