    I believe the tunes are:
    The Kid On The Mountan
    Sleep Sound In Da Mournin
    The Reconciliation

      Only the first tune is Irish. The second is a Shetland reel and the final tune is Scottish.

      Tim, there's a band from Canada that does this wonderful tune. You should check them out. They're called Barde.

    Oh man! I love uilleann pipes! And Irish music, of course! I'd live to learn, but i don't have the years left to do so. I read somewhere that it takes 21 years. Seven to learn the chanter, seven to learn the instrument itself, and seven more to season or learn the nuance. Something like that anyway. That's a paraphrase cuz I can't remember it exactly. Anyway, 21 years I ain't got left! Getting old.

      Apparently the first 7 years are spent saving up to buy the instrument!😂

    What's the second tune called? It's often played by fiddle bands here in Sweden under the somewhat anonymous name "Tune from the Shetlands", but I suppose it's got an actual name on the other side of the North Sea.

    So many great tunes, and nobody dancing. They are dance tunes. Men and women are supposed to dance to them for fun and romance.

      Get real. If you danced to tunes played a that speed, the poor lassie's feet wouldn't touch the floor; she'd be airborne! 🤣

    Names of the tunes?

    That's strange, switching from an Irish tune to a well know Scottish tune. Go figure.

    • @colindouglas7769
      @colindouglas7769 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why is it strange? Session players have been mixing Irish and Scottish traditional tunes for decades. Seems like you've been leading a very sheltered life. This video clip is from a TV series called The Trans-Atlantic Sessions which was aired in the late 1990s/early 2000s
