  • Our guest is author and retired Army officer Andrew Bacevich. He discusses his newly released book titled, "Breach of Trust: How Americans Failed Their Soldiers and Their Country." Bacevich talks about the current issues facing the United States armed forces, tracing them back to the war in Vietnam.

    I find it kind of curious that Mr. Bacevich would favor some sort of National Service for everybody. One minute Mr. Bacevitch is discussing Smedley Butler and his self description of being a 'Capitalist Gangster'. How about making the Big Corporations and Big Oil and the other Special interests do National Service? The US Government serves THEIR interests, NOT the American Peoples. When the American Government starts to serve the interests of the American People, THEN let's have a form of National Service. NOT UNTIL THEN.

    This is one of the worst interviewers I've seen in a long time, where did they find this guy?!...Mr Bacevich is, as usual, brilliant.
