Maybe instead of looking at myself as a smoker, I need to look at who I am in Christ. Right now I'm a christian who smokes, instead of I'm a smoker. 1st step in separation from them.
Ask Andrew: If someone has really believed in Christ but is still struggling with an addiction like smoking or porn, is he still saved? Has he lost his salvation because of his weakness and failures in his struggling? I hope you can help me with my doubt. God bless you.
Thank you for reaching out to us, Deivy! Andrew believes that a person cannot "lose" his salvation but can reject or denounce his salvation. Our salvation is secure as long as we want it to be secure. Also, Andrew believes that true freedom from an addiction does not come from trying to "get rid" of our sin, but rather from focusing on Jesus! An intimate relationship with the Lord is the only thing that can effortlessly transform us from the inside out and cause our habits to change. Jesus never condemned His disciples in conversations about their personal sin, but He spoke to them every day about Himself, the Father, and His love. Jesus wants to speak to you in the same way. We encourage you to ask God for a new understanding of what relationship with Him is really like, a relationship that is totally based on His love for you. As you continue in His Word, the truth will set you free (John 8:32)! Also, we encourage you to listen to Andrew's free audio teaching, "Effortless Change," at www.awmi.net/video/tv/#/2014/week2/monday. We believe this teaching will give you a better understanding on how to become free from addictions. Please let us know if we can assist you any further! God bless! - AWMI Team
Andrew, I've been wondering why there were so many books that were taken out of the Bible (the book of Enoch for example)? Are these books important or should they be disregarded? Thanks, and God Bless
Thank you for your question, Garret! We'd like to answer your question in more detail than we're able to on TH-cam. Please email our doctrinal questions department at questions@awmi.net and we'll be happy to help! Blessings to you! -AWMI Team
My coworker has been praising Christ for years now, mostly after he’s been fired and when his wife leaves him or when all his kids need money. I’m going to make a guess (although an uninformed one) 5 percent of the addicts get healed and 95 percent use the word Christ as an excuse to keep doing wrong
You're either saved and born again, or lost. There is no in between... if ur born again you don't WANT to sin and would never use grace as a license. So if you're right and 95 percent of confessing Christians are doing that then 95 percent aren't born again.
why is it tht kicking a drug habbit gets harder after searching God ? instead of less use more loosing control tht you had since Quiting yrs ago ? is that demonic ? no deliverance ministeries here. can tht be done through Skype etc ,m

Marie Jose you're very welcome. It's not by works that you are saved. The Bible says that you simply have to believe on Jesus and make Him your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. We encourage you to listen to Andrew's teaching, "Whose Righteousness?" available for free here: www.awmi.net/audio/audio-teachings/#/awm_1022a_righteousness.mp3. We pray this is a blessing to you. You are the righteousness of God in Christ! -AWMI Team
