Native Higher Education Insights (NHEI) Session 2

Our second briefing focused on external factors that are greatly impacting many students’ ability to access higher education, particularly Native students. We provide a brief update on how the delayed release of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) could have a long-term impact on current and future college-going students, as well as institutions. The session also dives into how broad interpretations of the SCOTUS affirmative action ruling could greatly impact access to higher education as we are already seeing shifts in funding and donor behaviors, as well as share post-COVID challenges AND successes in Native communities.
