Yamaha FZ-X is a pretty nice motorcycle and the experience is amazing.
Simplicity is underrated
This bike is ridiculously perfect for my conditions and requirements -
1) easily to handle for someone with height 5'8
2) low weight bike
3) good mileage (I'm soon joining as government servant with normal salary so mileage matters😅)
4) trust, reliability and brand (yes yamaha❤)
5) normal power and cc (not more)
6) good design and looks ( black is love)
7) comfort not only for rider but also essentially and more importantly for my pillion
8) elegant and not aggressive (especially exhaust sound should be sweet but not a funky attention seeker)
9) I'm someone who rarely crosses 75 even on a naked highway, and this bike is very comfortable with my maximum speed
10) decently priced (affordable with financial space for lots of accessories)
It's my dream bike and I love this black bike so much.

I am purchasing my first bike Yamaha FZX. I must have seen 25+ videos, and this is the best video I have ever seen with detailed information. I was confused whether to buy FZX or not due to a lot of mix view about this bike. Thanks to you for making it clear that I should now go for this bike. Just have one question, will it ride perfect with a constant speed of 80-90 kmph and covering a distance of 150-200km on highway. I am not a rider but yes I do prefer a controllable and constant speed of 80 kmph with a comfort to me and for the pillion. I weigh around 90kg and 5'11, will it really effect the bike performance.
I had fzs fi v2 and I could cruise around 90 no problem, since this is the same engine and frame I suppose it's good for these speeds

And I am surprised that it will not even catch 100kmph with 70+ KG person..I am 75+, I own Apache RTR 160 and it touches 120kmph very easily, but yeah it cannot sustain that speed for long, engine starts heating and vibrating a bit..but yeah just to give the idea..
This bike will be very useful as you said for people who prefer city commute, occasional 100km+ ride, and care of their back a lot :)..!!

Yup, this is for the sensible guy looking for bare minimum and not the Need For Speed type.
This is cruise bike not made for Race like bullet

If self-start fails, what can one do to start? In this bike, there's no kick start.
jump start, put the vehicle on centre stand and the gear in 2nd. and rotate the rear wheel by hand.

Hi brother been following you for a while... Great reviews must admit..just need a suggestion..i am confused between RE Himalyan and Ktm ADV 250(after the dicount 25k) ..i will be doing 70% city and 30% touring.. pls help
The Himalayan is more comfortable, suspension and seats.
The KTM is lighter and easy to ride.
If you want a long term partner, with off-road abilities, go for the Himalayan. At this price, it is better.
But if you want performance, modern features and an exciting ride, then the KTM.
Do you have to change gears constantly in traffic?

There is no kick, most underpowered in 160 cc segment (even the commuter unicorn has higher torque in lower RPM), low ground clearance
But have to pay big buck for yamaha refined engine only
