      Your guitar probably doesn't have all the notes on it. Same with mine.😁

    Your playing is great and also your tone! i have always used medium .73 picks because its what feels natural to me. Anytime i used heavier picks its just to tough for me and doesn't feel right. I was always trying to force myself to use heavier picks but now i have just accepted that i use .73 and thats what right for me :) Like you said once as long as you are digging your tone thats all that matters!

    • @TreyAHensley
      @TreyAHensley  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you very much! It’s an Owens guitar...made by Louis Owens (Dolly Parton’s uncle) in Sevierville, TN, back in the early 2000’s. It’s basically a D-18 (mahogany back and sides) with 28 appointments...and a Lester pickguard with Lester style inlays. It’s one of a kind for sure.

    It's taken a lot of hard work and practice to get this good however the fiddle tune is in F.

    • @TreyAHensley
      @TreyAHensley  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Man, I’ve been to a million jams and I’ve never heard a single soul play this song in F…

    • @johntait491
      @johntait491 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TreyAHensley Have a look at most fiddle players. It's played in F. It was written in Beaumont, Texas in the key of F, and the variety of sheet music is mainly in F. It is only Doc Watson that changed in to G, and it became popular for guitar players in that key. 🙂
