    When it comes to the educational aspect, for the plane models COBI had a series of booklets where you would get a booklet / comic with historical info and blocks attached. They would usually come in series of 4 booklets / plane, where each booklet would get a quarter of the blocks and the build instructions for that quarter of the plane. I do not know if they were available in other languages than Polish, though. And If they will be continued - some are still on sale, but no full series, only specific chapters. Anyways, COBI is taking a different and interesting approach to that business.

    hi, maybe there is another thing: Because Coby Bricks do habe a higher clutch power and are not as "studdy" on the outside they are much less prown to be destroyed by even smaller kids one you hend them a set to play with.

      hi, maybe one needs to differentiate a bit:
      On the one hand you might get exclusive parts for a set like fuselage or special curved windows witch migt be hard to replace
      on the other hand you get for years parts that are commonly used in cobi sets and even sets by other manufactorers like the 1x5 plate or the single stud witch are not too hard to come by. As well as maybe the extra slopes that are used to "smooth out" ships for eg.

    Jake another great video. Lego did make this plane (I have it somewhere) it was huge and was completely brick built.
    I don't mind cobi (or megablocks) at least there doing legit business unlike lepin etc. There's enough of a marketplace out there for all legit brick companies.
    As for the war comment Lego have produced a number of war related planes the sopwith camel was a recent one.

  • @JRodStudios
    @JRodStudios 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If I may add a 7th and 8th point to the list, Cobi's customer service is better than LEGO's. I bought some bricks from LEGO and they took 4-5 weeks to get to me. Versus Cobi, a propeller broke on my B17 model when it fell, and they got the brick to me in under 2 weeks! And that was coming all the way from Poland.
    The 8th point is a lot of Cobi sets are to scale with the real models. And even if they're not perfectly to scale the minifigs don't look bad standing next to them.

    One thing I will disagree with. Now this is just my personal opinion but my favorite part of lego builds is the build. I will build a kit then take it apart to build again. I do not display any of my lego sets. I even separate the parts into different bags so it’s easy to find the parts to build it again. Some sets I have built well over 20 times.

    Ya know. In my opinion Lego is BETTER for mocs specifilly, because when cobi gives you for example back wing part it can be only back wing of a plane. About prints and stickers, on a lot of parts i like to chose not to place the stickers (take for example kai's ninja charger from ninjago legacy, it works perfectly fine without them). With every part printed i wouldn't have this freedom. Of course on some bricks prints are almost nenesarry (let's say the totem from guardian village from ninjago island (yes, I'm a fan)) but i can stand puting stickers on them just for the freedom at the rest of the sets. Also i think Lego minifigs are beter, more iconin, verry custamizable and more collectable. Also they range more than Cobi, witch are almost exclusivly military stuff. And just to be clear, I'm from poland, but i have no personal atachment to Cobi. I had 1 set (a military jeep with 2 minifigs) and it wasn't bad.
    ps. Sorry for gramar mistakes.

If you want to pay five times as much for a Sherman in lego, thats the wrong colour and looks blocky in comparison to a cobi model do so. You've obviously got too much money to spend.

    For militaria, Cobi especially with its line of tanks beats Lego all day, BUT Lego overall better with that vast array of sets to choose from and Cobi's minifigures are the ugliest little things you'll ever see. Really goofy. Can't believe the Cobi art directors look at their figures and say, these are ok. They suck. Lego's minifigs are better in everyway and cute.
