Got my set installed for about a month now and they are awesome! At the halfway point on the adjustments, it feels just a tad bit stiffer than stock on my IS250 but the handling is improved and body roll reduced.
Awesome to hear how they perform in the real world. How do you like the 32 way adjustments? Feel like its to much at first, or do you prefer the added precision?
I got someone to help me find a good balance of comfort and handling so I can't say much on the adjustments as of yet. It's my daily driver so I haven't changed the settings since the install. Thinking of doing a couple more performance mods(sway bars, chassis brace, bushings, intake) before I hit the track and maybe tweak some settings when I'm there.
I also went for BCRacing for my Scirocco. I bought the V1-VM set because i wanted the most comfortable ones. They are not under my car yet,now im driving with only lowering springs and it is stiff AF i dont like that and i hope this set will be much more comfortable. You get alot for youre money, i paid €880 for it and its really good quality. Cant wait how they feel when they are under my car.
2004 350z roadster...with 88k miles. I believe stock from factory suspension, Nissan used the Bilstein stock strut/shocks. I think its time to change out, to give my car a better stance. 275/35/19 rear tires, and front is 245/35/19...still has 1 1/2 inch gap....😎
Exige, We are happy to help get you a set, give us call here at 714.582.3330 or if you want can email us at sales@modbargains.com, we'll get it over to you right away!
BC's BR-Series coilovers are definitely a safe place to start. They've got all the features you'd expect from a mid-high range coilover system, at a solid price you can't complain at.
Really liked your video .I have a 2001 Toyota Aristo with 41000 miles on it , my stock suspension has worn out, have been looking for a decent priced coilovers .
I'm looking for a tasteful lowering kit for my 08 Acura TL Type-S with 1-1.5" lowering for front and rear. I don't want tires tucked into the wells. What is the lowering range on this BR setup?
I would honeslty get a set of Coilovers that are adjustable, we can help get you a set of the BC coilovers here at ModBargains 714.582.3330 or sales@modbargains.com, once you get them on I would then just sell the Eibach springs. Otherwise the cost of a new set of shocks (which I'd probably only consider Koni's as they are valved for the Eibachs,, will still run you close to the BC coilover) Thats my advice. Happy to help in any direction you want to go or to discuss further.
Adjust ability in the rear is the same as the front. By either shortening the length of the shock body or spring perch based on application. For some vehicles BC also offers an "Extreme Drop" variant which features even shorter shock bodies and springs. But these are for those looking to stance or slam the car.
Hi! Im looking to get this coilovers for my 17 Mustang Gt, but im wondering since the chocks and springs will be replaced, do i have to replace my struts also? im bout 65,000 miles but i drive a lot and will get to close to up there, and im wondering if i should do it all at once? thank you!
You are coming up on the time to make that switch, I would do the coilover we are happy to help you out here at sales@modbargains.com or give us a call at 714.582.3330
Hi there! I just got the 18 forester xt and I really don’t like the height of it! I like the ride comfort. If I decided to get these coil-overs, will I have the same ride comfort? How does these perform if you have like 5 people in the car for long drives? Any ideas? Thank you!
Nope not a silly question, It just depends on the car and how it does caster. Most times it's nonadjustable and isn't affected, sometimes it's adjustable and will be affected, and sometimes camber plates will include caster adjustments as well. But it's all car to car dependent. Hope that helps :) Did you buy the bc's through us at ModBargains?

lovely details within this video. Question, i have a 2008 Nissan Versa TIIDA, and I'm bent on doing some crazy shit to it. So, will this product be able to work on it? Please don't say no!!!
Hi Daniel, So a couple things will make a coilover really bounce. One if it's set to the lowest drop point (doesn't give the coilover much of a travel area) so I would suggest adjusting that. Also these are adjustable so you want to change the dampening level to softer setting (not hard) That will help make the highway ride far more comfortable. @Modbargins, I would love to take you guys up on some input.... Own a 16 Mazda3 Hatch 2.0 and certain to get the BC BR coilovers. My only concern prior to purchase is the spring rate that comes with it. The Mazda im running and many in its generation run with a decent amount of understeer "ewww". So I've read that BR will come stock for my Mazda at 8k front and 5k rear. Would that be a good rate to avoid understeer or increase it? I'm no expert so looking for help. What I can say is that there are coilovers made by corksport "a trusted and dedicated" Mazda aftermarket company that has their coilovers at a rate of 7k front and 8k rear and I quote from them "to promote more neutral handling with less understeer" as I imagine they are experts at the Mazda platforms am curious if this is correct. And if so to order custom springs with that 7k/8k rate instead for my BC racing coilovers....... Hope to hear back soon from you guys. Thanks!
Quick rookie question lol. Is it safe to remove the locking rings from the rear coilover spring perch to get a extra .5”-1” drop? As I’m already maxed out in the rears an still have about a inch of fender gap.
Hey ModBargains, my car has about 50,000KM on the odo and stock suspension; it has been giving me some audible creaks and squeals when I drive. Decided to buy some BC CO to replace the stock system. I hope it cures it.
You loosen the jam nut on the bottom and lengthen or shorten the entire coil-over. On vehicles with separate rear springs and shocks (such as many BMWs). You loosen the lower jam nut on the shock and lengthen or shorten it, while you also loosen the jam nut on the spring perch and adjust accordingly.
ModBargains okay on Mercedes the rear shock only has a lower Jam nut and no top Jam nuts. And spring only has a top Jam nut. So how would you do this one thank you
Can you tell me how to operate the dampening adjustment? I can pull the knob upp and turn it. I can also turn it with out pulling it up. What is the “right” way to do it?
Well made by different companies with different production (ST is by KW Germany, BC is BC from taiwan). ST is galvanized steel but it has some of the best warranty in the industry, BC BR''s is stainless and sometimes even comes with top mount.
Hey brother I hope you are well I have a question to ask you I am about to buy the coilovers for my van ra1 but I do not know which one to buy from the bc racing and that one is complete with the springs together and the other kit has the springs separated. My honda odyssey is 1998 lx

Great question, So swift makes a linear spring which is going to be set for the vehicle, so it's a change from the progressive spring. Here is an article for you on it: blog.modbargains.com/linear-rate-vs-progressive-springs-whats-best-4-street/
@@ronhay6511 Awesome thank you. Good to know they come with progressive springs too. Interesting how the Swift upgrade is recommended so much then even for street use.
BR: Entry level coilover system for ~$950-1050. Features everything you need to daily/street/track your car with a large mono-tube shock, top hats, fully adjustable ride height, and a knob on top to adjust compression and rebound at the same time (effectively stiffening or softening the ride) ER: External Reservoir coilover system for $1800-2000, same features as the BR series but with independent Compression and Rebound adjustment. More focused as a Motorsport product for drivers to tune their suspension feel and performance. ZR: 3-Way adjustable coilover system for $2800-3000. with low/high speed compression and rebound adjustment. I don't know if you still stay tuned to your channel, but I have a question, my coil overs are getting lose constantly and I have to tighten the bolt on top, but my problem is the stud turns as I tighten the bolt, what can I do?
Sounds like the studs have ground themselves loose in the top hats. The idea solution would be to replace the top-hat assembly with a new one (or used set that is not damaged). Any other solution could damage the coil-overs more. You could use an inpact gun at a low setting to knock the bolts snug, perhaps with some mild-locktight to prevent vibration from causing them to loosen. But then you run the risk of stripping the studs more to the point you might not be able to remove the coil-overs later (with out cutting the nut)
Thanks for that, I'm thinking of taking the hard and soft adjustments knob off to maybe use an ally wrench to hold it while I tighten the bolt, is that possible?
yason bee hey they are great so far so good. Have to do height adjustments to get it perfect. On 05 style subies we have to remove back seat so until you get the height you want don't put it back because it might have to get adjusted if you have the camber plates for the rear which are the ones I got. Let me know if you have other questions
yason bee they also go on perfectly no issues everything has it's place for the lines as well. If you set the adjustment stiffness in the 20 clicks car ride will be stiff and just a bit bouncy. I'm currently on 20 clicks toward stiff and I'm fine with it corners nicely. I've tryed about 5 -10 clicks toward soft and it reduces the bounce a lot. I will try to make a video on it soon I just need to upgrade my recording and editing.
hell yeah sounds good. are you getting any suspension noise at all? and how far off is it from stock height at its highest setting? i see what you mean about the seats thing btw lol i replaced my rear shocks with kyb oem style struts, must remove seat to get to mounting plate thing

Kevin Du ModAuto installed these on my 335 and there's definitely a very slight camber on the rear. Really not much, but just noticeable if you're looking for it. Front end is pretty noisy, which is disappointing
Hi I just have a quick question, I have a 2006 acura rl sh-awd and I'm planning to lower my car but idk what springs rates should I get cause I still want to have a comfortable ride every day not so bouncy. Please help thanks you :✌🏽
GET A PROFESSIONAL TO INSTALL. IT IS FAR FROM AN EASY DIRECT INSTALL. The front took 4 hours, that was the easy part. Dropping the subframe to install the rear is an option. Dropping the cradle isn't much of a better option. Minimal information for install. Not very entry level like advertised.
All the way stiff will effect both the rebound and compression. So while the vehicle will remain more flat in a turn (where a stiff rebound comes into play), sharp bumps and potholes will also feel more jarring (a stiff compression).
right, and since i havnt selected the swift spring option when i bought my coilovers i only have standard valves. my car is slammed so i want the full suspension as stiff as i can go with what i bought. i guess fully hardening my dampening would help get as much stiffness out of my coilovers?
Will I need an alignment after installing these? I am sure with any suspension modification it is required, but just want to be sure. What about Camber and caster kits? Or is this one in all kit?
Anytime you lower or modify the factory ride height, proper camber adjustment and alignment will be necessary to insure proper tread life. Most BC Type BR coil overs for McPherson strut vehicle include from camber plates, otherwise an aftermarket camber kit will be needed to maintain proper alignment at your modified ride height.
They are quite a bit different then the V3, these fall more into the value area. Tech of like the V2, the KW are definitely beefier as in feel is more pronounced, price difference is almost double in price however. @@MrHawaiiboy510 if you are tracking and using on the street I think the V3's are the way to go, otherwise if the higher end BC's (like ZR/ER's) are made that would be another good choice, within the same budget range.

On 05 style subies we have to remove back seat so until you get the height you want don't put it back because it might have to get adjusted if you have the camber plates for the rear which are the ones I got. Let me know if you have other questions
yason bee what I meant about not putting back seat was get the height you like then get a alignment done so you have the best handling and tire wear
yason bee they also go on perfectly no issues everything has it's place for the lines as well. I will try to make a video on it soon I just need to upgrade my recording and editing.
hell yeah sounds good. are you getting any suspension noise at all? and how far off is it from stock height at its highest setting?
i see what you mean about the seats thing btw lol i replaced my rear shocks with kyb oem style struts, must remove seat to get to mounting plate thing
but are they bouncy is what im worried about i hate bounce and i need coils asap my suspension is blown out
Forever no they aren't bouncy, you can set them to your preference which is the nice thing. Great coilovers for bang for buck. Give us a call here at ModBargains 714.582.3330 or email us at sales@modbargains.com we'll get you a set sent over right away so can fix your suspension.
Ron Hay ok gotcha ill b in contact real soon got rent this week and next week i can order them ... i want the true rear coils not extreme low
u guys dont have Mitsubishi on your web page ?
My 2002 infiniti q45 has tired shocks and a cracked spring. Would this be a good choice over the near $4000 cost of OEM in Canada?
definitely go after market.
I have a 2016 Dodge Dart and I was looking at the BC coilovers I was wondering if there is an aggressive drop for the Dodge Dart?
Morgan Snively choose the extreme low option. The shock body will be 2 inches shorter.
I got the br bc coilovers and for some reason one of my dampening adjusting knobs is not turning is like it is lock or something
do they always come with fronts and rears?
They did on mine
Do I have to buy something to combat the negative camber we get in the rear once we install coilovers? I heard negative camber is inevitable.
Kevin Du ModAuto installed these on my 335 and there's definitely a very slight camber on the rear. Really not much, but just noticeable if you're looking for it. Front end is pretty noisy, which is disappointing
adjustable control arms
Guys I have an E550 mercedes 2007 on air suspension and I want to convert this so can I use bc racing for that or bc racing its not an conversion kit?
Qualcuno ha montato il kit BR su BMW F22 riscontrando rumori forti all'avantreno (TOK) quando si passa su tombini o tagli nell'asfalto?
Hi I just have a quick question, I have a 2006 acura rl sh-awd and I'm planning to lower my car but idk what springs rates should I get cause I still want to have a comfortable ride every day not so bouncy.
Please help thanks you :✌🏽
And also want a good stance (clear wheel gap) but not super low
GET A PROFESSIONAL TO INSTALL. IT IS FAR FROM AN EASY DIRECT INSTALL. The front took 4 hours, that was the easy part. Dropping the subframe to install the rear is an option. Dropping the cradle isn't much of a better option. Minimal information for install. Not very entry level like advertised.
Will setting the dampening all the way hard stiffen your suspension ?
I am saving for a set of ohlins coilovers, but this video has me thinking...
I got these for 1200, after the Everything-Tax 😅
Do you have these for e30?
How do these stack up against the KW V3 coilovers?
They are quite a bit different then the V3, these fall more into the value area. Tech of like the V2, the KW are definitely beefier as in feel is more pronounced, price difference is almost double in price however. Question comes down to what kind of driving are you doing, what do you want to achieve? Feel free to give us a call here at ModBargains, 714.582.3330 can always discuss with you further.
Ron Hay oh cool. I’m going to the track. I got 3 days under my belt so far but I’m definitely going to be going more after.
@@MrHawaiiboy510 if you are tracking and using on the street I think the V3's are the way to go, otherwise if the higher end BC's (like ZR/ER's) are made that would be another good choice, within the same budget range.
are the front br type coilovers universal? plz help!? would it fit a 95 f body camaro
Mr. Balderas If they have it. They will make it oem fit.
Hello. 1998 lexus gs300 , would these coilovers be rite for this car? Thanks. Just for daily driving.
CHINO GodsOn if they are in your budget, yes they would do a fantastic job. Check the website and make sure they make a kit for you
Future 75th Hello, I did order the BC Coilovers (br type) , and i just installed them 3 days ago. Let me confirm THEY ARE PERFECT! Im happy i didn't go with anything else. Thank you.
My car is bouncing and making a clunking noise on bumps. Any idea?
Kelvin J was it the control arms ?
what are the spring rate ?
Ismail Abdul Aziz spring rate differs depending on the specific application that the coilovers will be installed on, heres a link directly from BC explaining their product, hope it helps. www.bcracing-na.com/br-type-tech-spotlight/
Pretty sure it's progressive spring rate, unless you custom order with swift springs which can be done, we would be happy to do so at ModBargains.
getting what you pay for is still true
what is that m3? i need to know for headlight research purposes
Nate Phan Its actually an M4 the coupe chassis code is F82, and the convertible code is F83
Mine is make noise in the back, feels rough in the back
Hi Poe, have your install checked out. You can also examine the shocks.
