Jesus Lizard singer David Yow recalled to the Village Voice in 2011 that he and Cobain discussing doing a single "first time I saw 'em, first time I met 'em," at a 1990 Jesus Lizard/Nirvana show at New Jersey's Maxwell's. "I was just so impressed because I wasn't that familiar with Nirvana and I knew it was Seattle and grunge and I don't like Soundgarden, and I didn't care much for Mudhoney... But I thought [Nirvana] were fuckin' great." While his band donated the careening "Puss" to the split single -- which finally arrived three years later -- Nirvana returned the volley with a mid-fi blast, emerging in the gulf between Nevermind and In Utero. In contrast to the slick sound on Nevermind, "Oh, the Guilt," almost D.C.-punkish in its stop-start thud, was recorded in a Seattle basement studio by Barrett Jones. As a guitar player myself it is always interesting to see how the songs develop across the fretboard in your videos. I was doing an improvisational jam today and found myself using many of the chords I picked up by learning Nirvana songs, hell, they are most of the chords and scales that I know; but I would not have it any other way! Great cover! :)
+xusurper Yeah, I tend to do the same things. All my jams, songs, riffs are very influenced by Kurt. And totally agree, would not have it any other way either:)
I know this is an old comment, but taking a Squier Jag that already has humbuckers in it and switching them out for dimarzios will produce a near identical sound to the KC Signature Jag.
Awesome cover again as always man! I'm hopefully gettin' one of them KC Jaguars soon. I think Fender's stoppin' makin' 'em, 'cause a bunch of guitars have been taken off of the site, haha.
They're nice in theory but really not built very well, atleast the components used are cheaper quality. The frets on mine are already worn down horribly
I sold my Gibson Firebird to buy the KC Jag. I haven't looked back since. To address Gamble, yes, I too think that the components could be better. I plan to eventually get mine refretted, replace the neck pup with a Pearly Gates or a '59, and to find a more suitable bridge, perhaps a standard tune-o-matic. I will say (AND THIS IS A LEFTY GRIPE) what pissed me off was that the tremolo arm that came with the guitar was a righty tremolo, and I'm thinking, "OK, so you sold me a brand new lefty guitar, with a righty tremolo."
Great cover! Was wondering what tuning you’re in. Also a tab for this would be super helpful. I can’t get it down well enough to cover. Hoping you can help out. Either way, like I said...badass cover
A bit late but what amp settings do you use? Do you use the same settings in all of yr videos? I love the tone but I can't seem to get a sound I'm happy with out of my amp + my DS-1
It would be very close, if you get one with single coils change out atleast the bridge pickup for a humbucker, either a Damarzio super distortion or a Seymour Duncan JB. Another alternative is a fender modern player jaguar.
Solo's lacking. Rest was okay, bro. I'm pretty sure you can find rather accurate tabs for the solo. I personally wouldn't have uploaded this cover if I didn't currently know how to play every bit of it.

I love all your nirvana covers mate, you really nail that sound. Awesome.
This is such a great, simple guitar riff. Wish they’d have played it more live.
I'm back again 1yr later and I'm still amazed at this cover Tom... AlwAy💤 Killin it!!!
I have learned pretty much every nirvana song from you. BIG THANKS!
Another brilliant, energetic rendition, thanks so much, you are a gem to many here.!!

I fucking love those jags man I've always wanted one but never had the extra couple grand to drop on one
I know this is an old comment, but taking a Squier Jag that already has humbuckers in it and switching them out for dimarzios will produce a near identical sound to the KC Signature Jag.
Oh man, playing Nirvana with a great guitar on a cold night in Norway. Sounds good!
That solo improvization, good job man
i had a brain damage when i saw u play. i thought in the original recording the main riff was going high to low.
That's what you call tuning boyo haha as soon as I saw that I knew it was either half step down or full step down
Could have sworn it was a powerchord on the 2nd of the A, then a slide from 2nd to 6th on the E. Been playing it wrong for quite some time now lol
I admire your passion. Rip Kurt
Cool I think i asked you to cover this song a while ago, thanks.
This is an awesome cover of an awesome song!! :D

+Jack Dyson Yeah, but I've seen them sold used for a reasonable price :)

Do you know if a squire jaguar will sound good and be good for playing nirvana?
It would be very close, if you get one with single coils change out atleast the bridge pickup for a humbucker, either a Damarzio super distortion or a Seymour Duncan JB. Another alternative is a fender modern player jaguar.
