We are not going through only a chip shortage, we are in middle of a global inflation after an unprecedented shock to the system, and most of all, the metals to create chips are running out, or becoming too expensive for the companies and environment to dig out. I simply think it will take a longer time to get out of this than ever before.

GTA 6 will probably completly shut this graphic card down in 4k, same with nvidia, we don't have 4k graphic cards yet, which is very sad considering the expensive price they go for now

No... they aren't outperforming. The 6900xt is supposed to be competition for 3090, and it barely keeps up with the 3080ti. The Ti is maybe a 2-3% performance boost over the regular 3080 (the self soothers say 5-10% but it's completely unfounded), so not only are they not outperforming, they're underperforming for the shot they took. That said, it's definitely a step up for AMD discretes, hopefully they continue this progress.
@@x8jason8x Not true. The 3080ti has actually been shown to outperform the 3090 in a lot of cases due to not having to load up 24 GB of VRAM. It has just a few less cores than a regular 3090 and therefore has very very similar performance. Go look at some benchmarks. The 3080 is around 7%-10% slower than a 3080ti and the 3090.

I readily admit the 3080ti is a fantastic card, and certainly does outperform the 3090 in gaming, but the 3090 series isn't really for gaming, they're for GPU intensive workloads.
I bought a 6800xt from xfx over a 3080ti and made the right choice. Even mining when not gaming I don't have to worry about it overheating as it's at 53c only
This is why I'm glad I brought the MSI RT 6900 GAMING Z TRIO, not for raytracing but cost, high FRAME RATES, and more Vram to future proof my card for 7yrs till I replace it

@@sajithsaji3606 I have had no real problems. The only times I have ever had problems was when I didn't update my drivers to the newest version (tho that tends the be the case with most of all GPUs). Performance wise I'm very satisfied. There is only one problem I have had and its only because I need to install the drivers to my Linux (I have both on my Desktop). But when I actually get around to doing that I am confident it will work just fine.
These are not direct competitor cards. The 3080 ti is directed at the 6800xt , This is 2 different tiers of cards. This should be the 6900xt vs the 3090

Nvidia just gives that more premium feel with RTX and DLSS 2.0 too wich are far superior over AMD.
So the 3080ti very nearly keeps up with the card AMD wanted to compete with the 3090. Not bad, but AMD still has a bit further to go.
6900xt is faster then a 3090 @ 1440p and much cheaper at MSRP (without raytracing) 6900xt uses 100watt less power also which is allot!

After owning both cards, the 3080ti is the superior card.
