What I think Insomniac is gonna do with a retired Parker Spiderman, is replace the Mary Jane mini-missions that most people complained about, with his own; having him serve as a hypocratic-piece.
It may be a situation where he's out getting muffins with M.J., someone robs the place, then the player has to navigate the situation with a limitation on Pete's abilities without revealing himself. Kind of a reverse Gohan x Saiyaman thing.
