Hey man thanks for this video me and my 63 year old mom that rides a TW200 found it a blast to watch. I rode a FZ6 for 46k in Seattle for 5 years until I was hit and not I'm about to get a XT250 and found your video while looking. How old are you guys I'm impressed and my mom found it inspirational. Keep up the videos and get some riding gear for the both of you just in case saved my life. Great video and thanks again :)
+Will Penley I am 63 and my partner is 64. Beware the XT250 is taller than the TW. With a higher center of gravity, it is a bit less stable. I chose it over the TW because I wanted a bit more speed on the highway.
Hi WW, we tried to get up there and there was a Metal Gate across the road, (it seemed like it was the main road too.) Do you have any tips, it was after the houses start to disappear. We love having these beautiful mountains in our backyard, & get up there any chance we can~ Thanks for the Video!
Yes it does, my brand new 2024 XT250 has the same sound, setup to run lean for emishions and has a tube that pumps air in into the exhaust port just behind exhaust valve to help burn gasses that have not burned fully. When engine is cold it is quiet but after it warms up a bit you hear the knock.
Accurate intake / engine sound - your cam / mic set up does a great job capturing the way the XT actually sounds.
livebyreason I was wondering if it sounds as if it needs a valve adjustment

You must of had the wrong road. Rock Cr. road is County up to Eilertson Meadows where it switches to Forest Service and is open to public. No gate.
Beautiful views.... Nice spot to ride
The exhaust rattle would drive me nuts. Be safe!
Is there anything you would change on the XT250?
How you liking the bike? Still have it and ride regular?
+theshyguitarist yes, I still have it. I crashed and banged up some ribs, not bad, but put a damper on riding. Now we have 6" of snow, sooooo.
+Widow Maker
Too bad about the crash. Hope you mend up.
Wow ! That’s a really “ buzzy” sounding engine 🤔 like maybe you need to fill up with some premium octane or something.
Whoa ,godam ahhhh!! Been there done that.
the xt looks to be getting beaten by the tw.
Nide vid of the xt's trail capabilities. How are the shocks on it?
+A Beattie I really don't have any knowledge to compare shocks. I have only rode the XT.
inadequate. You will be thrown off unexpectedly if you hit small debris.
@@Juliette_4 depends on operator skill
sounds like a diesel

That wipe out would not have happened on a KTM, Husqvvarna, or BMW.
