This was an interesting video. You don't often see players who try to replicate the PD98 experience. Rather, I'm in the camp that wants the PD100 in a thinner beam, but the 98 loses too many qualities that makes the 100 iconic.
Great video thanks for the info! Just wonder if you know if there a huge difference in the 2009 PD cortex and the 2015 pure drive. I only have 1 of the 2009 PD’s left and for some reason it just feels a lot more stable and shots come off clean. Thanks again tennisspin
@gold325_video how many have you played with? Personally, I like the first 3 generations the best (all without cortex). I think that they have the most natural feel. Starting in 2000 with the second generation, the Pure Drive moved from an open to a closed string pattern, then went back to the original string pattern. The open string pattern is more conducive to spin. I have only played with the 1994, 2000, 2003, 2009, 2015, and 2018 editions, but Cortex has not been a positive for me, regardless of the string setup
I gave my normal 2012 Pure Drive 100 (300g unstrung) a makeover to match my trusty 2015 Pure Drive Tour 100 (315g unstrung). With the same overgrip and Confidential poly strings, both rackets are 342g with the same balance. Unfortunately, I don't have any cool equipment to check the swing weight.
Rackets variate just by quality control. Each customization on a mp to tour would be different just because of that. You have to measure your rackets real specs first
@@LarzB Indeed. But if you watch Tennis Spin, Harry will just tell you how many grommets worth of lead one should add for a particular racquet, without even taking into account how each racquet will likely be different due to manufacturing tolerances. His customisation videos are so awful, they’re hilarious to watch! 😆
Again pseudo science. Doing it like this is trial and error. No pro shop at all. What a waste of all those great machines. If he can handle the old one then he would be able to handle more lead at 12 on the new one. Static weight is overrated.
@@DD17666 there are so many free tools where you can input the measured data and add weight digitally to see exactly how much to put where. No serious pro shop just slaps on some lead and see if it is correct on the machine.
Many times he has ok or good or even great content, but this is just bad and he should know that too. I'm not a troll, feedback that you can learn from is a gift
Harry trusts his own swing/feel test more than the machine!

hi harry you could use play dough or clay dough to do simulation of adding weight/swinweight /balance before cutting lead tape, save money and waste

The 2009 and 2012 has a tighter string pattern. They are the two best PDs IMHO. 2015 onwards the pattern opened up.

I am attempting to do that with an old Wilson!

Never seen swing weight so low on that bab 100
really poor quality control on that stick. shouldn't have been let out of the factory, imo.
makes you wonder.
@@rich.e I tried to like several babolats. Never was comfortable
Cool! Thanks
Can you do one on how to customize gravity mp to gravity tour? Thanks 🙏

after I watched, when these clowns hit the ball it doesn't matter even if they have a squash racket in their hand, they are so bad
Coach Rob would still 6-0 you though

Dude, calm down. Maybe you need to can correct there problem. Life too short to be negative
