At their time which is the Goryeo era it is normal for higher position like royals to act possessive on things including those below them like court lady and servants, of course that would look way different now in our modern time, so i could ultimately understand why Wang So acted in that way & also that is how he truly express his love to Hae Soo, he even ask his father the king for Hae Soo as gift for him thus refusing any title or expensive property. So basically at their time it is normal to own and possess a person and you could ask the king’s permission if you want to marry a person which happened to Wang Eun when Soon Deok’s father ask for their marriage, Hae Soo was his person already. But after that he promised Hae Soo he will not force her and will ask for her permission so this shows Wang Soo being a gentleman did highly respect her. Love these two! 🥰💖💖💖
I love this drama for that. They show what it means to be king or prince in that era (the good and the bad). I liked how Wang So was learning over time. He started out being very dominant and possessive with Hae So, but this didn't work out for him. LOL
