@@rustyminer Of course I dont mind, we all do that no choice realy there's only so many knives & a lot of us like the same kinda stuff,,,I look forward to seeing the videos..👍
If it was a tip down carry clip you could talk about the wave type opening out of the pocket ! Oh well, I don't think this one would be an edc for many. This is a new one to me.
If you have a small thread tap set you can change the position of the carry clip easily, as I did. The smaller version is a great EDC in my opinion. Out of all my knives it's the cheapest and I love it the most.
I was looking at one of these. Man what a beast! Your comparison got me thinking about the Eafengrow EF970 again, but when I went to Amazon it is no longer listed. I guess I should have bought it a month ago when I was last considering it.
The Eafengrow is a better knife to carry and use, size-wise. It's also a model, so I am hoping they'll have more out soon. It's been a hot knife for the last couple months. Keep checking if you remember. I bet you can get one if you want
@@rustyminer Well, I was finally able to get my hands on the Eafengrow. That's a pretty good beast of a knife. But nothing compared to this insane Giant Man stiletto which just showed up on my doorstep. That's just good fun right there. :-)
Hey GBBC, sorry for the delay. I'm happy to hear that you got the Eafengrow. You're right, that Rough Ryder Giant is a pretty wicked knife. You can get a full two hands on it. Eafengrow has better deployment but the Rough Ryder should turn more heads. Thanks for keeping me posted 👍
That's a lot of steel for $13! Looks like a bayonet. Rough Ryder is coming out with a lot of knives beyond Traditionals and Slip Joints. "Full Peanut" is going to be the new "Full Monty" as more and more viewers tune in. Maybe you should trademark it! LOL!
Hi Tai, thanks for stopping by. It's a different knife than the slip joint that's for sure. I might go to storage and get a couple of my knives out from the late 90"s. Two slip joints I can think of, but I prefer modern knives. Flipper and thumb stud. 3 more Rough Ryders on the way this weekend. One in the mail
Cool! Thing is a beast. I love the looks of stillettos. So far I have a 6 inch coldsteel ti lite in s35vn and a protech godfather operator auto. I don't know if my microtech ultratech bayonet otf would be considered a stilletto. Looks like one. One of my favorite collectable knives is a Frank Beltrame Italian 6 inch stilletto switchblade with stag handles. Not something i'd carry but cool to have. I'd defenately like to expand my stilletto collection. So far i'm liking these rough rider knives. Thank's for sharing brother.
Hello and thanks for the question. I don't own any Mtech knives, so it's hard to answer. I can only tell you from my Rough Ryder videos, the commenters usually post good experiences with their knives
Hey GRuggs. I'm learning why they have a following. Well built knives. I don't mind the real basic steel. Most of mine are 440A. I'd rather they kept the steel the same than change the steel and change the price
I own one. Got it second hand as user. It's brilliant
Thanks for sharing your experience with this one. It's pretty large but I have carried it too.
Just not to the office
Thats a fun little short sword 🤣 I like those giant RR knives I have a couple of them, I don't have that one but I like it.. Thanks Rusty 🤠🗡👍
I'm doing four knives this weekend. Two of them I saw on your channel. Hope you don't mind 😁
@@rustyminer Of course I dont mind, we all do that no choice realy there's only so many knives & a lot of us like the same kinda stuff,,,I look forward to seeing the videos..👍
I appreciate that. If nothing else, take it as a compliment to you. You have a knack for finding good knives.
Definitely an interesting piece to have in a collection!
Thanks Matt. Always happy to hear from you

That's true. It's not a great EDC choice, no. But I did take it on a hike. It's also probably not legal to carry concealed 🤔

My pleasure Frog. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and collection. I can usually learn about a knife I was unaware of from reading your comments.
Going to Google Frank Beltrame now
@@rustyminer That's awesome. I'm certainly leaening about a lot of new knives from your channel.
Are these higher quality than say, Mtech knives?

Love RR! It’s nice!

Holly Crap that thing is a Monster.
It's Big, no denying
Another pocket sword is the Kershaw Strata XL!!
I'll look into it
I have this exact model but it's a Colt
Interesting, thank you for sharing. I was unaware of the Colt model
That is tip down……not tip up. Which is a deal breaker for me.
You're correct. I know the difference, the words just come out wrong. I do that with bearings and washers a lot too
Too big 😱
Yes, Daniel. I agree. Not something a person can easily carry.
