    One of the reasons is they are based in Illinois(Chicago area specifically). One of the highest taxed states in the union. They have got to pass those tax costs off to the consumer. They are just a high end converter same as Marathon and Featherlite. I think once I win the lottery I will be heading to Oklahoma and talking to Newell.

    Andrew, you’ve been in the top of the line Liberty and Newell Coach. They both top out over $2M.
    - Which is higher quality?
    - Which drives better (active steer and an extra 100hp on Newell)?
    - If you had $2M, which would you buy for yourself?

      If I was to get a Liberty I'd be happy with the 500hp Volvo engine as I drive a truck with the same but I'd scrap the Allison and get a Volvo iDrive gearbox as I think it would better suit the engine. I'd want bunks too. I'd love to see a paint job from Dean in a deep midnight blue non metallic.

    Andrew, another great interview and you are covering the topic I believe to be the most important for a buyer of this caliber. The national service network and the single phone call regardless of the product brand. I have been the owner of production-level motorhomes where I am told to take the coach to one of the many different brand suppliers for the generator, the roof-mount air conditioners, the refrigerator, etc. I typically paid the one company to buy it but end up dealing with a half-dozen vendors to get things fixed. I hated having to bring my coach to a service provider who was not especially involved with motorhomes as few treated our coach with the same respect. I am looking to jump back into another coach (at this caliber), primarily for work, but I will use it for personal family events periodically. I am hesitant to look at coaches that force me to drive 2000+ miles (off the mileage limited warranties) to get something fixed factory right. So this is why your in-depth warranty coverage is so important.

    Frank is the most active Owner of any converter company hands down, It really says a lot about liberty. When you see these coaches you know they are the best in the industry, Second to None. Motor home is very expensive and wrong decisions can cost very much . Thank you Andrew!

    Hmmmmmm, I honestly don’t see much, if any differentiation between Liberty and a Marathon or a Featherlite and the rest. Everything he mentioned, the others do the exact same thing. No doubt Liberty is a premium coach converter but so is Marathon and Featherlite for that matter. I would say the only true innovator is Newell Coach as they build their coaches from the ground up rather than being a Prevost converter like all the rest. JMO.

    • @DLTJR1959
      @DLTJR1959 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are pretty much spot on. Newell was formed to make a nicer conversion than Bluebird which at the time were school buses and made into motor homes. Bluebird eventually modernized their units but are no longer in business. We have a Wanderlodge.

    • @livehardone9437
      @livehardone9437 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DLTJR1959 Yep. All of them are beautiful high end quality coaches, no doubt. I just find it a bit disingenuous for any single Prevost converter to represent their conversion as having a remarkably better ride handling quality over any other Prevost converter considering they all utilize the exact same frame, undercarriage and powertrain etc. Then when compared to a Newell, a Prevost has a higher center of gravity - Period.
      As far as customer service and after sales service etc every single converter provides the same remote service options etc. This is not unique with Liberty. They all send service vehicles and techs to the major destinations Etc.
      I also find it misleading on how they present the lower HP and lower torque Volvo engine as being an overall advantage when compared with the Cummins. Completely ignoring the relationship between Volvo and Prevost and I’m sure, the mandated usage of the Volvo. The Cummins X-15 is a better power plant hands down.
      All the rest is subjective and a matter of personal preference. But clearly, Newell is unique.
      Chicago hustle at its finest. :/

      @@stevest.martin3940 I don’t? I know enough that it takes more than a paint job to truly differentiate a common product. Deans paint is exquisite, no doubt. With this being said, he is far from the only talented painter that s painting coaches. So please tell us all just how different a Prevost chassis is after Liberty converts it as compared to a Marathon or Featherlite. Also considering that a Featherlite is actually lighter than a Liberty.
      Please tell us all. LOL.
      Oh and here are some crappy Marathon paint jobs. LMFAO

    Question for Frank regarding the lifetime warranty on conversion parts. Would that include air leaks? Since so much of the coach has air compressor functions like the doors, slide outs, air bags etc. so many posts on Prevost sites on these issues on how hard leaks are to track down and repair. These are installed by them. Or is this a wear and tear type part like brakes or tires. Same question for plumbing leaks. Thanks

    • @RVingwithAndrewSteele

    There was an interesting comment about coach owners not cooking in their coaches. I’m curious why people who own these kinds of units don’t tend to cook in them. Is their usage and camping profile that much different from us regular folks who like to camp in our RVs?
