Glad to listen to this magnificent ghazal, penned by the great Faiz Ahmed Faiz Saab - in the soulful voice of Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab - for the first time ! I happened to listen to this ghazal before time without numbers in the voice of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab ! That was an altogether different experience, owing to his magical voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! This rendition by Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab - in an altogether different orientation - was also appealing and enjoyable enough ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! While the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was instrumental in the revival of the art of ghazal gayiki, it's further ascendence and flourish and in catapulting it into its present level of the much wider acceptance across the globe ; Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab has cemented its future ! After the sad demise of the great Khan Saab, the mantle of carrying forward this glorious journey has fallen squarely on the safe shoulders of Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab ! Personally speaking, I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have born during the lifetime of these legendary singers ! Thankful to Hushn -e- Ghazal for having provided this opportunity ! Look forward to listen to many more of such rare and melodious stuff in the days to come !
