  • The 101st Airborne Museum 'Le Mess' in Bastogne presents 'Veteran Stories'. Meet Mr. Everett G. 'Red' Andrews, a US Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge (377th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion. 101st Airborne Division). He came to Bastogne earlier this December. The video was recorded at the Military 'Barracks' of Bastogne.

    Thanks for your story. My grandfather Arthur Schamell was also there as part of the 377th parachute field artillery battalion.

    Mr. Andrews, It was a pleasure listening to your story. My father Harvey B. Bowman was in the 377th during Market Garden and Bastogne. Do you know how we can find more information about the 377th and his duties during these operations? He was not an officer. During his life he did not speak much of the war, and with the fire in 1973 in the National Archives we have struggled to gain more details.

    es realmente emocionante el lenguage corporal es magnifico y se aprecia lo mucho que sufrio y sigui adelante debio ser dificil estar ahi en esas circunstancias y perder tantos compañeros y seguir adelante Mr. Everett entre nos puede responder esta pregunta ¿Como eran las noches sin compañia femenina?
