We went to buy tires for Samo's car. Needless to say, like the owner himself, the car had a few jokes up its sleeves or should I say up its shoes. We enjoyed doing this and hope you enjoy this too.

Good to see your collab . I remember when you were confused about Caristaniyan after Project khyber and I wrote a huge para about business aspect of this business and we discussed that as well . The tire rotation is slightly incorrect. For a FWD (provided you have a square setup) The front wheels go straight back and rear come straight front, that way you now have fresh turning surface. Next is the cross change, eg front right goes rear left & front left goes rear right. This way you get, yet again, fresh turning surface. And by the end you will have a completely rounded tire (the edges will be round from both sides). This is maximum tread usage a maximum safety.
For RWD w/square setup it is slightly different than FWD but similar to 4WD w/square setup. You may include the spare tire in the rotation, if you have a full-size spare, or you can keep it away. It is recommended that the temporary use tires (commonly known as Japani steptni) is to be kept as spare throughout the car's life, but full size spare have a life. For any car w/o a square setup, there is no tire rotation, you may swap sidways (front left w/ front right & rear left w/ rear right; provided they are not directional)
Shelf life is 6 to 12 months.
5 to 10 years is the usage time which may vary upon the conditions of climate and usage.

Actually, the size is right on point, why? Because the recommended tire size is for ideal roads that is Japan streets or our motorway. You may see that other roads (local) are very bad so to compensate, adding 20mm to width while maintaining ratio is ideal. It is necessary for safety. I'm not saying put Ferrari tires, no, just for the sake of safety, a wider tire is absolutely necessary. The new Corolla come with 205, but 215 is much safer. 225 is safest, but I feel it is a bit extreme considering most driving will be done on local roads.
You may know that old Cultus has recommended size of 155/80R13 which is most commonly swapped for 175/70R13. 155 is bicycle tire, I think not even jeep trolleys may use that size. 155mm is only safe on Japanese roads where maximum local speed might go till 80km/h. With Japanese quality of tire and road, stopping from that speed is not an issue, in that size in Pakistan, the face of the car will be smashed in emergency braking.
I have personally switched from 195/65R16 of BG Luxo Plus (General) to 215/55R16 of Pirelli P7 (Italian) and these are my calculations: local average +2, motorway average +5, long route w/o motorway +7. Now, this is only fuel calculations. I got softer suspension, better brakes, amazing handling, basically, the car became alive. This one time, I had to go to hospital in emergency and the car was doing 150km/h max while my foot was to the floor. Thanking Allah, I do not have to make that emergency trip to hospital again with new tires, but they are much better. Also, whenever I was starting from zero speed,the front tires would slip with just a touch of the accelerator (not trying to show off), but with Italian quality, this never happened, not even when I tried to force it.

Disagree about your knowledge of PAKKA PUNCTURE is better . Heat treated puncture always disturb the shape of the tire when heating the area also Temperature difference can create micro cracks between hot and cold area of tire during heat process of a puncture. heat type Puncture are only applicable on tubes not recommended for the tubeless tires. always use cold type patch and also avoid needle punch patch.

I have been getting suvay wala puncture for the last 15 years. No issues. What do you say about regular puncture ? That's done while making it hot and I think when you put hot iron on rubber , it damages more as nylon thread is broken and diluted.
