Weak man story once again. Cheating wife and a cowardly man afraid to believe the evil of his wife and daughter. Stays with her after finding out about her cheating for weeks. Then even with the daughter knowing of the affair and not telling him, he allows her into his life. Weakness is never respected.
First thing. You've been married for 30 years (according to the title) and your child is still a child? Not that that's easy to explain. It's just not that common. Most couple of been married for more than 10 years, without children, don't plan to have any. At 30 years, you're at least 48 years old. Just placing the time table out there. Second, why didn't you immediately go after this guy Matt as soon as you realized he's a predator? The very first thing I would have done when showing the wife the evidence would have been to give her a choice. Tell me where he is and his habits or lose everything. Divorce would have still been a definite. Child visitation would have been more conducive if she helped. Once she gave up Matt's habits, Matt would have had a date with a steel pole, brass knuckles, and a chisel and hammer to make sure he lost just the tip (if you know what I mean). Now that my personal feeling are out, let's talk about the story and it's writing/narration. The story overall was pretty decent. The timing was good. I don't understand how couples could stay under the same roof after an affair has been acknowledged. But thats just me. The fact that he showed the wife the same evidence twice started to feel repetitive. But his addition of time lines crossed against lies told allowed for it to be a more informative scene instead of just repeating what she already had been confronted with. The AI was a little better than average. The breathing breaks were for the most part good. There was the mispronounciation of wound [wolnd] (AI saying wound like wind past tense). But that something AI will never get right. But if the story was reviewed after AI was added, spelling using phonics could have been used to say that little mistake. It's just was the mistake anough to justify it?
Sorry, women are feelings, and common sense is throwing pearls before swine. Everything is about feelings. Problem is those same feelings is what drive women into divorce, regret, and loss. Only too late do women realize what they did. I question women how you can love two men? I doubt it. One is real love the other is imagined love. If you were to ask a woman which man is which she couldn't say. If you were to ask her other questions it would become clear. Modern women are for the streets let them have their high paying jobs and Chad the vice President of operations. Time for real men to walk quickly to the exit.
