I like how each Rematch Boss gets their own remix of the Boss Fight theme, incorporating some piece of their stage theme. You should make full versions of them when you have time!
Agreed! MM3 already had my favorite Robot Master boss theme in the series, but each of the different versions in the boss rush (especially Top Man and Shadow Man's remixes!) made it even better still!
That's EASILY my favorite track from the album because of that! What a great way to spice up the boss theme when you hear it so many times throughout the game!
When it comes to the play-through itself, it’s like Mega Man said, “Thanks for all these special weapons. I’m sure they’re useful for something, but against these robot masters, I’m think I’m good.” 😂😂😂
Kinda surprising how much the VRC6 voices improve MM3's soundtrack, it really does seem to be written with more harmony in mind. Hard Man's theme benefits especially well from the extra sound chip.
I didn't know it was possible, but I just jizzed out my ears. You have taken an already amazing soundtrack and found a way to make it even better still! Huge props!
YEAH EXCELLENT WORK BUT AREN'T YOU FORGETING THE NAME PUNK FROM ROCKMAN WORLD 3 YOU MAY HAVE INCLUDED The Wily Music From RockMan World 3 BUT Punk And 2 Giant Suzy Are NEXT TO BE Included in The MegaMan 3 Cover Alright Boys
You know what I liked about this? You did each Robot Master's theme in a slightly different style. Magnet Man's theme is kinda jazzy, Gemini Man's sounds like it should be playing in Dracula's mansion, Hard Man's is almost militaristic, Needle Man has this nifty echo to it...just absolutely brilliant.
I swear, the way you conceive remixes to the songs, the sorta lazy drawl of Magnet Man, or the continual rising Wily 5 theme in Mega Man 2. You are one of the best out there!
Hey sometimes it takes time to find the good stuff, and partially because it's right in front of us yet we're not looking for it...because we don't know to look for it right off the bat. Kind of like how you don't notice the little things wrong with a game until you've had time to play and you start seeing them.
When the robot masters in the credits appear when ProtoMan's theme plays, I imagine something like in Mega Man 9, when they find new places to live, or something like that.
I’m kind of surprised that he didn’t use the trick of holding down the right arrow on the second controller D-Pad to get the higher jump, but given how well he plays the game, I guess he doesn’t need it. 👍
RushJet1, I've been a fan of your chiptunes for years and Mega Man 3 is my favorite Mega Man game. Thank you so much for this album and this video. It's a great way to celebrate Mega Man's 25th birthday.
Because there are a hell of a lot of little kids that have probably never touched a fucking NES that believe that the music is 8-bit. I most certainly was not around for the NES sadly. The SNES though is a different story. I hope this "240p for awesome" shit dies out one day.
Other than that, I praise you for so much talent ,sir, you deserve it. You managed to enhance wily stage 1 and to give it that punchy tone it lacked in the game... So good!
RushJet.. this has to be my most favorite thing you have ever done. I was completely enthralled by this from beginning to end. Major kudos and congratulations; I'd much rather listen to this than play that game made by the other group for the 25th anniversary.
Beyond the great remixes, I am quite impressed with your jump'n'shootin abilities. Also, anyone paying attention can see you're not using turbo, as you aren't wasting shots...like, ever. Well done.
Great job on Spark Man. You made an already heavy song even heavier. I also love the funky Magnet Man remix. Not really what I expected :P Didn't like Shadow Man though.. It's not bad but it didn't appeal to me. Not the first one at least. But the second remix is great,
Just finished mega man 3 for the first time, I never realize just how good the soundtrack was. I looked up boss weaknesses, and I feel cheap for it but I couldn't have done it otherwise.
I like most of the work you did for the boss themes but I do question this measure at 3:51. I feel like it doesn't have as much impact/energy as the original. It feels kinda dialed back. Was that what you were going for anyway? Anyway, other than that tiny nitpick, I love your work.
WHen you go to fight the Doc Robots I like how the stages that they're on all of a sudden take on a darker tone like something evil is waiting for you.
I get it though. Keeping to the original score has been a philosophy that's gone pretty far back, to the days when OCRemix and VGMix used to engage in turf wars. Personally though, I really like when people put their own influences into covers and remakes, like GekkoYamori's Sonic 4 adaptions. I don't think one approach is more valid than the other. Changes in time signature/tempo, changing the intensity and tone, I think that stuff makes this more interesting than the average MM3 cover project.
Until watching this playthrough, I did not think it was possible to beat Woodman buster-only no e-tanks. That was some goddamn wizardry you pulled there.
After the 8 robot masters, I was about to skip right to the Wily Castle, thinking you were probably going to re-use the same music for the stage revisits. I'm so glad I didn't.
Holy shit man! The world needs a rom hack of MM3 with music inserted on! You just did the impossible happen & somehow made MM3 look signifigantly more epic in my eyes! That takes skill.
... and besides, you're known for making your own versions of pretty much anything you listen to, so this wouldn't be no exception. Most of your OST is good, although some misses are hard for me to get over them. Still, listening to this is totally worth it and I will support your work by paying for the album. The promise of some NSF's helped me to make up my mind. Kudos to you, RushJet1. Keep up the good work.
i never understood the weird flair at the end of the capcom jingle, in the album. Just thought it was you being fancy. Now i see it's a literal acknowledgment of the fact your expanded arrangements are made thanks to konomi's vrc6 stuff. That makes this respectful, clever AND artistic. Fuck, i'm impressed.
This is truly an incredible work of musical art, my friend. I commend your dedication in creating this - your remixes truly do the source material justice, and tingle all my nostalgic whimsies in the process. I see you've also done MM1 - I hope you are working on a MM2!!! I would love to hear your take on it!
It's funny how the english translation worked out for this game. The main names are actually musical references. Roll never changed, but they decided to use Megaman and Protoman respectively. When their actual names are Rockman and Blues. I wonder why the change though?
Such incredible remixes. Even the MM3 songs I didn't like as much (Top Man, Shadow Man, Needle Man for example) are goosebumpingly good! I also really like the tempo and pitch changes here and there; it makes the songs better while still maintaining the same nostalgic feeling since the melodies we all know and love are still there. The added arpeggios on Spark Man, oh my god my ears are dancing!
I especially dig the Sparkman remix, this tune always used to charge me up, Hardman's remix is also very cool to listen to. There was an exceptional darkness to MegaMan 3 I felt compared to the rest, made the journey feel fulfilling. Thanks for all this effort RushJet1, this is supercharged nostalgia. :D haha.
Thank fucking christ you didn't use Mega Man 2. Excellent work as usual, I've never really been into Mega Man 3's soundtrack, but the additional VRC6 stuff is pretty neat!
One of my favorite BGMs of all-time for Mega Man 3 is Spark Man. And this, includin' all the BGMs, are flippin' fantastic! :D My first time comin' on here, thanks to a friend of mine on Facebook for givin' me this link, so I don't know if you did other work(s) like this. You have my download for your music. :)
the way this game works is that there can only be 3 of his pellets on screen at once, but if your standing point blank at an enemy you can rapid fire because as soon as they appear they hit their target so there's never 3 on the screen at once in those situations so you can mash the button as fast as you want, he's not using a turbo controller he's just mashing the button
I really want one of those Mag Fly enemies from Magnet Man's stage. It'd be fun to just fly around town with the power of a giant flying magnet with eyes.

The snake man one was so good
I want more of the snake man one

Sounds like Capcom needs to hire a new composer. :)
Sounds like Capcom needs to make a new game.
I know right? Like 5 years ago at least.
@@Marioguy92 cough
@@xflame7556 it already been 4 years 😢 for megaman 11
Well... This is it. My life is now complete. I can die completely emotionally fulfilled. I've had a good run.
Agree 🎉
Replaying these videos again in 2023. Just so good!
I love this so hard. Really great work!
Is this a Hardman joke cuz i like it
Dear VGM cover artists, more of this please.
I didn't know it was possible, but I just jizzed out my ears. You have taken an already amazing soundtrack and found a way to make it even better still! Huge props!
I just lost it when you included the Wily music from Rockman World 3. EXCELLENT WORK and my deepest respect.

Wait....this is featured in Mega Man 2.5D! Good job, dude!
Most songs are also featured in Mega Man Day In The Limelight 2
Juan Camilo Marroquin What it did? It didn’t when I played Day in the Limelight 2. Did I play the wrong version?
Starts so nice with that swing. Can't wait.
You know what I liked about this? You did each Robot Master's theme in a slightly different style. Jesus. This is just so good. I was smiling at so many parts just out of pure joy.
Yeah, I know
-Read description.
-Switch to noise-cancelling headphones.
-Attain oneness with the universe and a new perception of reality/Headbang.
I like how all the bosses got their own variations of the boss battle theme during the final gauntlet.
+CopShowGuy Me too. I hope MegaMan 4 does this.
I have never cried listening to a piece of music until now. Wily stage 3 has to be one of the greatest songs I have ever heard.
Uploaded in 2012... Why am I just finding you now? This is great!!!
+WarpWorld7 @13:25 almost perfect timing with the gameplay!

Here i am, found this in 2024
That intro is such a badass.
10/10 best playthrough + music cover EVER
Btw I like the Topman remix
Omg, YOUR SNAKE MAN THEME IS BEAUTIFUL
+9legopro
I agree with that
can you make a cover playthrough for Mega Man 5??
+Jordan Haik GB or NES?
NES of course!
Also, OH MY GOD I just realized that you mixed in Mega Man 1 Wily boss music with your Wily boss music here! That's awesome!
Especially fitting with Yellow Devil's return. Bonus: RushJet's Yellow Devil theme for MM1 has some MM3 boss theme in it, completing the circle!
Now to add MM11's Wily Boss theme to it
>Not playing the full "Weapon Get" track
SAD FACE :(
Zeeky Retzorg Agree :(
Zeeky Retzorg q
yeah, my favorite weapon get track in the series. short but really sweet.
47:54 i never heard it before. is that your original song? nice!
It's a cover of this th-cam.com/video/1PDdC51EDWk/w-d-xo.html
37:23 Nice. >:] (also,Doc Wood Buster Only....damn....impressive)
So is anyone gonna talk about how CRIMINAL was needle's man revisit stage??
I definetly have an entire hour worth of music more thanks to this video
In a sentence: :*HOW CAN WE GET TH-cam TO WATCH THIS MASTERPICE?*
cool thing to hear rockman world 3's wily station theme!
When the robot masters in the credits appear when ProtoMan's theme plays, I imagine something like in Mega Man 9, when they find new places to live, or something like that.
The best part of this?
The boss music Intro (Which always sounded really menacing) doesn't get interupted by the boss health bar filling.
27:56 i love this Spark Man remix
I was dissapointed that here is no Staff Roll theme.
:,-(

I’m kind of surprised that he didn’t use the trick of holding down the right arrow on the second controller D-Pad to get the higher jump, but given how well he plays the game, I guess he doesn’t need it. 👍
Wily Stage 3 sounds SO good, really brings me back.
Stage 4 sounds so different. Great mix!
amazing! not only did you totally crush that game (and make it look easy), but the music is top notch. well done, RushJet1
RushJet1, I've been a fan of your chiptunes for years and Mega Man 3 is my favorite Mega Man game. Thank you so much for this album and this video. It's a great way to celebrate Mega Man's 25th birthday.

It’s 10 years late but I love mega man 3 a lot and these covers remind me of the arcade remixes from power fighters/power battle and I love it
That Magnetman theme just feels fun, such a great take on it
For me it sounds more sad, than fun. Strange...
Other than that, I praise you for so much talent ,sir, you deserve it. You managed to enhance wily stage 1 and to give it that punchy tone it lacked in the game... So good!
finally it is done, the best project ever
Anywhere I can hear these tracks individually?
Check out the bandcamp link in the description next to where it says MP3s. You can either stream songs from there or download them for free.
To sum it in a word: Brilliant. Fave track: Boss Rush.
RushJet.. this has to be my most favorite thing you have ever done. I was completely enthralled by this from beginning to end. Major kudos and congratulations; I'd much rather listen to this than play that game made by the other group for the 25th anniversary.

did you upload the songs alone? I can't find them in your channel
Great job on Spark Man. You made an already heavy song even heavier. I also love the funky Magnet Man remix. Not really what I expected :P
Didn't like Shadow Man though.. It's not bad but it didn't appeal to me. Not the first one at least. But the second remix is great,
I seriously wish I could play the game with the background music like this, it's not the same trying to switch songs as the stages roll by.
I wish you could do extended versions of these songs, Needle man especially.
Just finished mega man 3 for the first time, I never realize just how good the soundtrack was. I looked up boss weaknesses, and I feel cheap for it but I couldn't have done it otherwise.

I absolutely loved how you syncopated Magnet Man into a swing-feel. That was so pro.
This is fantastic, great job! Please do Mega Man 4!
I get it though. Keeping to the original score has been a philosophy that's gone pretty far back, to the days when OCRemix and VGMix used to engage in turf wars. Changes in time signature/tempo, changing the intensity and tone, I think that stuff makes this more interesting than the average MM3 cover project.
I really like the mix of the robot master's stage themes into the regular boss theme during the boss re-fights. Thought that was a nice touch.
You took my favorite video game of all time, and made it even better. You, good sir, are officially a badass!
+PeanutTechno TechnoBlues More than that, He's a god.
Until watching this playthrough, I did not think it was possible to beat Woodman buster-only no e-tanks. That was some goddamn wizardry you pulled there.

Awesome, the remade version of all the music in Mega Man 3 sounds really good. I love it, awesome job.
Can you make the Wily castle boss music extended?

The remake of Topman was my favorite of this video.
You are like me now that you said that
same
Not gonna lie, I actually laughed so hard with that combination logo xD
Is the style of the Protoman remix a reference to Battle Network 4.5 or is that just a coincidence?
How would you add the songs to the actual ROM?
You can't.
This is truly an incredible work of musical art, my friend. I commend your dedication in creating this - your remixes truly do the source material justice, and tingle all my nostalgic whimsies in the process. I see you've also done MM1 - I hope you are working on a MM2!!! I would love to hear your take on it!
With my new 5.1 surround sound headphones this...is pure bliss.
the wily stage 3 remix rocks
Gonna take a while to fully appreciate all the nuances of this masterpiece. Thank you for seeing it through to the end!
It's funny how the english translation worked out for this game. The main names are actually musical references. Roll never changed, but they decided to use Megaman and Protoman respectively. When their actual names are Rockman and Blues. I wonder why the change though?
I love how the final stage theme becomes the final boss theme. As it should be.
@AnimusBehemoth It's up on bandcamp as linked in the info. As a personal friend of his, I know he'd appreciate the support!
is there a way i can inject the NSF onto an actual ROM?
You can't.
Such incredible remixes. Even the MM3 songs I didn't like as much (Top Man, Shadow Man, Needle Man for example) are goosebumpingly good!

Dat slomo when there are more than 1 NPC on the screen.
Wow. This really brings me back to my childhood. Thanks for posting this!

Awesome job. I wish there was a way to revert to the original names Japan used for this. (Rockman, Blues, etc.)

Doc Robot Needle Man and Wily Stage 6 blew me away.

This whole damn things gives me chills it's so good.
