- Kelsey Christine Plum (born August 24, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Las Vegas Aces of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She has won back-to-back WNBA championships in 2022 and 2023. In 2022, she earned her first All-WNBA First Team selection and was named the WNBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (MVP) in her first WNBA All-Star Game. She also won the gold medal in Women's 3x3 basketball at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Before Caitlin Clark there was Kelsey Plum, coming out of college Plum was just as good.
Eh, that's a stretch. Caitlin took a bunch of nobodies to the title game twice. Her numbers are partly a result of being the only option but she made good on it. There's been nobody like her in woman's ball. Her skill is almost enough to be a jj Redick level performer in the nba.

Clark has really drawn attention to these players, before Clark, never heard of Plum.
Because the media along with the nba/wnba/ncaa decided to over promote caitlyn. The wnba is in its last tv contract year and is due for renewal. So what better way to draw attention.
