Marion I am from South Africa .thank you for this usefull info ..thank you I start harvesting soybeans tomorrow I set my 2166 as you advised ..may you be blessed and my God keep you and give you peace
You beat us to the punch! Thanks and while the short answer is 'easier' the real answer we're trying to promote is TEST AND VERIFY - it may work better, but don't theorize, run a few acres and test.
@@CalmerCornHeads We used on our oldy John 1177 H4 model made from EU, wheat concave in soybean harvest instead of corn concave. First year we use corn one in soybean harvest because it was easy for us to change in 20 min adapters or headers when we wanna harvst in same day soybean or corn, instead of changing concave wheat for corn or corn for wheat depending what we harvest. Its hell of job and last at least 4 hours to do that. We have mess in hopper when we harvest soybean, no matter how we adjust combine. next year we left after wheat harvest wheat concave with smaller wires and i was perfect job. Soybean in hopper was clean with no leftovers from soybean pods or stalk residues...now we work with wheat concave: wheat, soybean and with corn one only corn and sunflower....
Hi from Yugoslavia… We have 2166 axialflow. Can you make video of setting red combine for wheat harvest.? I must drive slow becouse of grain lost behind combine… Sory if my english not nice.

Can you do a similar video on Gleaner combines, even the older R series? The smaller R40-R55 series too which should be treated differently. Some of this, IMO, doesn't really apply to the Silver transverse rotor combines. Instead of changing vane pitch, a Gleaner in soybeans probably need the reverse rasp bars replaced by forward bars and really in corn they are not needed except for the smaller R40 through R55. And then the importance of the accelerator roll condition.

Jaco ek gaan ook nou vir my 'n 2166 koop vir hierdie jaar se oes ... Van waar in SA is jy ?
Really helpful video. Thank you so much.
Very detailed demo.😊
Thanks for all the advice
Our pleasure Bruno! How well do you feel your machine is dialed in?
Exelente video señor muchas gracias por compartir sus experiencias
I wonder if the Keystock grates overloading the sieves is a cause of the premature failure of the shaker arms and bushings
In stead of filler plates on your first cone cave, could you just put a small wire concave instead?
Has much the same effect
but putting cover plates in is much easier.

How do I raise the head I have one but it does not lift
The rotor itself: what about the options of adding or removing different rasp bars or helical kickers?
I think the Argentines make her walk more and more reforms are made !! Greetings from Argentina
