if i could every turn back time, would i do it all again? high school was... traumatic to say the least, but if i had to do it all again, i'd be happy to know i'll be making life long friends (through trauma bonding lol)
this was august last year, so i was kind of preoccupied finishing up my internship. we didn't get to explore the island as much as i did with Seul, but we made the most out of the beach right in front of my airbnb. both of us being homebodies helped too, and who doesn't want to spend hours splashing water? it brought back memories of blowing bubbles in our dorm room just hours before our midterm freshman year. somethings never change...
this is almost a year ago and now it's pass the midpoint of this year's internship. i feel a lot more at ease with work as i'm getting used to the company and my team. and i'm getting better at balancing work and life as well. being treated the same way as full time workers (except the pay) helps a lot to prepare going into the workforce. i've been talking about this a lot with the other interns, and the general sentiment was disbelief/denial that this is going to be the rest of our lives lolol
our conclusion was retail therapy which is hilarious because there's the same exact expression in korean! people really think the same all around the globe.
i had gookbap at okdongsik last night with a college friend and that was truly a soup for the soul. i hope you all have a chance to try it cause whatever you're going through, there's nothing boiling hot bone broth can't fix.
