- One of the larger exhibitions model railway exhibitions of 2024.
Some wonderful layouts in a relaxed venue, not overcrowded and again pleasure to be there. supported by many traders and all the major manufactures along with 40 layouts.
The exhibition, Sponsored by Hornby and Trackside was held the 26/27th of October at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire and was one of the larger Exhibitions of the year.
I have done my best to avoid filming people and conversations but inevitably at an event like this it is so difficult to avoid, so if there are any objections please get in touch with the time in the video and I will do my best to edit.
If you enjoy the video, please give it a thumbs up and please check out the channel and if you like what you see please consider subscribing.

Thank you so much for your kind words about our layout - look forward to seeing you again at a future exhibition
Thank you for bringing the layout, your welcome a great exhibition so thanks to all, see you at the next one, Matt.
Thanks for calling by and doing a video of church hill station. 😊
Nice you meet you Steven, I did subscribe, keep up the good work and see you at the next one. Matt
So much stuff to see! I am at a loss when it comes to the Back to The Future locomotive and tender powered model that does not exist from any factory and that means someone built it from scratch. This has to be the biggest show in the UK, and I have to take two sessions to watch the entire video, so I'll finish up some time after breakfast. Great video, Jersey Bill
Believe it or not there are at lest 3 that are much larger, I do struggle with the bigger shows, firstly is is so tiring, I was at this show for 7 hours with a 6hour drive and about 3-4 hours editing. I do split the larger shows into two videos, but decided just to do the one this time, I don't think I will do that again especially if you are watching in two sittings! The back to the future train was a real stand out amongst some wonderful models.
Part 2 Jersey Bill: I don't know how long it took to put this all together, but it was well worth it to us so thanks. Great video!
You are very Kind!
Great video love the basil faulty scene
Hi Caroline, That was on the layout where the height could be adjusted - a really great idea! As always, nice to hear from you and thanks again, Matt
Lovely to hear someone say, "T-gauge". And even better to find another T-gauge producer.
I was amazed! obviously seen it before but you forget how incredible it is.
Some great displays on show Matt.
Such a large variety of themes and scales.
Tri-ang TT was 1957 to 1964 at a scale of 1:101.
OO Gauge was too developed by the time TT Gauge was introduced so TT never really got enough of a following. Although the 3mm Society is still going today.
Tri-ang also took on the failed Hornby Dublo in 1964 with all their extra stock to sell, which probably sealed the fate of TT Gauge.
I have a 1958 Tri-ang TT set that forms the basis of my TT layout on my channel if you're intetested.
There was a large TH-camrs gathering at the show Matt. It may pay to get more involved in the community?
Your call.
Stay safe and Happy Modelling
Hi Mon, Many thanks for all the information, I wasn't too far out. I have looked at your TT layout video in the past I will have another look this evening while its on my mind. I do speak to many other that I see at the shows as you say a grate community. As always Mon many thanks and take care Matt.
The China layout is amazing, as are the models of the Chinese steam locos!
Indeed, I think its the scale of the model and power of the locos pulling such long rains the camera really does not do it justice. Anyway many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
good video weren't expending the layout I was helping run (rush green colliery) to be the thumb nail and opening shot lol don't normal get that sort of coverage
Great layout and show, are real credit to everyone there, I hope it was ok to use your layout on the thumb nail, It seamed on of the best pics with the Kr model and the great detail in the background, See you next time Matt
